  1. I just fold the A4 sheets to fit inside my luggage label sleeves. So my name, etc shows on side but the cruise details and cabin are visible on both sides.
  2. Sun is now out but it is still very windy. Have just booked another cruise for March. A transatlantic this time, coming back from Barbados on Arvia. So something to look forward to in the dark and dull days at the beginning of the year.☺️
  3. Woke at 5 am and got up shortly after. Another winter's day again🙄😠 with wind added into the mix, just for a change!! Perhaps winter will be better🤷‍♀️ Hope you all have a good day. Pam
  4. Took a shopping trip up to Tesco this afternoon and was surprised at the amount of empty shelves. Good job I did go the rain has arrived and it's torrential and forecast to last all day tomorrow too. We've had two weather warnings added for tomorrow as well, one for heavy rain and the other for thunderstorms with hail. I seems as though we've had summer for this year.
  5. I have been on both Iona and Arvia, and due on Britannia next month, so will see if we notice any difference between them regarding vibration.
  6. Sunny down here, at present, but we have had a couple of showers and heavy rain forecast for this afternoon. I don't know where summer has disappeared to, but it certainly feels like winter has arrived!!
  7. Glad to hear that you had a good time and enjoyed your cruise. We are due on Britannia again in about six weeks.☺️
  8. Last night I had a good night slept through til 5, but normally go to bed about 11 and am awake again at 2, but often manage to get back to sleep. Hubby is another that can sleep all night even after falling asleep in a chair during the afternoon and snooring his head of for a good hour!🙄
  9. In Stravanger the ship docks right in the town, so easy to wander in. The cathedral is in the centre and the old town is next to the port. (First two photos) There is not a lot at Olden, but on one of our visits we took the trip on the little train that goes past the old church and round the town. I haven't been to Helleslyt or Haugesund. The later is on the our itinery of our September cruise, but I do know that it is a coastal port. A good source of information can be found at whatsinport.com
  10. I used to fold the paper and use double sided sticky tape, to save taking a stapler on holiday, as I would add them to my luggage in the hotel as I didn't put them on my luggage when we were travelling by train. I too now use Hemto tags, I just fold the paper so that it fits inside they are so much easier. They were also used when we went to Venice when another member of our party's label tore off.
  11. Sounds like a lot of fun. Fingers crossed🤞 it stays dry for you.
  12. I've just taken a trip over to Asda to pick up one or two bits, as I am now allowed to drive again, decided to be lazy and went by car. Listening to the car radio just before I got home the weather forecast said that it would be mainly sunny and 21c but there was the possiblity of the odd shower. Got home put the shopping away and sat down with a cup of coffee and it's raining! Good job I did go by car as I would have got pretty wet otherwise!
  13. I am sure you will have a great time. Just be warned that cruising is addictive!
  14. We had two formal nights on Arvia in May both of sea days.
  15. I sailed on Arvia in May and am due to sail on Britannia again in September, for the fifth time. I am also looking at booking a cruise on Arvia next year.
  16. I have cruised on both Arvia and Britannia and like them both.
  17. Sorry to hear that your appointment did not have a satisfactory result and I hope that they get all the information together and the MDT meeting soon. I am sorry to hear about your dog. It is a difficult decision to make when the time comes as they become part of our lives and family. Enjoy the weekend with your family. Wishing you all the best and take care. Pam
  18. If your EHIC is still in date it is still valid. Once expired they are replace with GHIC.
  19. We go in September so will be interested to read your opinion.
  20. We are also calling in at Nordfjordeid, when are you going?
  21. I would like to add that if you walk up to Meridian and get given a pager you will be advised to wait in Andersons, the bar just down the corridor, so as not to be out of range!
