  1. Morning everyone, hope everyone is keeping well. A bit more breezy down here this morning, but still sunny. I'm being taken shopping this morning in Truro by youngest daughter to buy walking boots, I think she might be trying to tell me something!! Enjoy your day. Pam
  2. When we flew out to Malta last year we went though passport control and collected our cases, before heading towards the coaches for our transfer to the ship. Cases where taken and loaded into a van, so we didn't have to take them on the coach with us, and arrived outside our cabin in due course. On arrival at the terminal we were checked. We found our cabin, dropped of our hand luggage then we went back ashore for a walk around.
  3. After having waited several weeks for a hospital appointment and attended last week plus getting a date at the end of the month for treatment, I today received a phone call offering me an appointment for treatment on Friday, which is too soon to get transportation organised. I have now been given a choice of three dates for next week and one for the week after. Talk about buses!!
  4. I received one after our cruise on 14th May on Ariva, from Feefo
  5. It seems it's across the board as it is the same for both of my cruises, booked for September (Britannia) and Janurary (Azura), so I don't need to worry yet! Hope they get it sorted for you soon.
  6. Or you can ring the Customer Contact Centre (details of the number can be found in your My P&O under drinks) before you board. We purchased a package last year and received a booklet for the number of bottles we had ordered in the package, which needed to be filled in and handed to a member of staff when ordering.
  7. Just returned from Arvia and only have one menu.
  8. My daughter came across 2 while on Britannia about a month ago and I saw someone who had found one on Arvia last week. It seems as though they are being hidden on a lot of ships.
  9. Bright and sunny again down here, Sorry Sue! A group of us are off the the theatre in Truro tonight to see Mamma Mia, but nothing else planned for today, just going to make the most of the good weather with a book in the garden.
  10. I am not a complainer by nature, but when you are in a long queue after being told that your table is ready along with a lot of other people and those that have not used the so called app are just walking up and being seated ahead of you. Add to that when you do arrive at the desk you are the informed that you shouldn't have been able to book as there is a glitch in the system is annoying to say the least. On several occasions I lost the use of the app, so had no option to book ahead and ended up with a pager on several occasions. There were long queues in the morning to get the shuttle buses into town at Marseille and Barcelona and of course the fiasco of Palma. Yes, I had one or two other niggles, but in general I enjoyed the cruise. Would I cruise again with Arvia? Maybe, if the price and itinerary are right. I will express my opinions on as invited on feefo, but not because I expect compensation.
  11. Hope everyone is keeping well. Looking a bit overcast here this morning, but hopefully will clear up. Long day yesterday, but had a nice time shopping with my daughters and granddaughter followed by a lunch. My appointment ran on time, after they found me in the system! Had a mask made of my face followed by the paperwork and a CT scan, while the paperwork and CT scan was being done my daughter and grandaughter took a perscription up to the pharmacy and when done we joined them and waited for well over an hour outside the pharmacy for it. Good job the weather was nice. Hit traffic as we left the hospital and got home again about 8. Have also been given the date (end of June) for my treatment, so no waiting and wondering. Today's agenda is a trip to the train station to get a refund on my tickets for my cancelled trains. Pam
  12. Lovely photos, we are doing the Fjords on her in September.
  13. Morning everyone, Another bright and sunny day down here again😀 An early start again for me today. I have my hospital appointment in Plymouth and am going up with two of my daughters and granddaughter early this morning and making a day out. Firstly were going shopping and having lunch before heading up to the hospital for my appointment. Wish me luck for our return as I expect we'll hit the rush hour traffic trying to get across the Tamar Bridge, and it can be bad at the best of times. Hope you enjoy your day, whatever you may have planned, Pam
  14. I would like you to remain, as you have been a valuable, informative and supportive member of this community. Hope Ted is better soon. I have disembarked from Arvia yesterday and overall had a nice relaxing holiday. Yes, there were a few niggles, but nothing major. I didn't like having to use the app to book everything, but it is what it is. I concentrated more on taking things easy and forgetting about my upcoming treatment. I was also lucky enough to win a voucher for £100 spa voucher, which was nice especially as I never win anything😲 Pam
  15. I remember Black Rock Sands well and often used to go swimming there when I used to visit the area some weekends with my school.
  16. I too have just returned from Arvia and the only slots for the 710 Club that were available to book, on the odd occasion, was the very late show which started after midnight. Also a lot of the MDR virtual queues often showed up as "queue full"
  17. There is a charge for Altitude (but don't know how much) and there is a minimum height requirement.
  18. Morning everyone. A lovely bright sunny start to the day. I got home yesterday afternoon after my cruise. A busy day, first off today I have a MRI appointment at 8.15 in Truro so have to be there by 8 and then it's a trip to Tescos, I also need to work out how I'm going to get to the hospital in Plymouth tomorrow, so it's straight back to reality! Hope you all enjoy the Bank Holiday. Pam
  19. We too were on this cruise and although we did not experience the problems with noise that MG had we did have a lot of creaking that could be heard from our cabin. The queues we did not like. One morning we had joined the virtual queue for Meridian and been informed our table was ready so went down and joined the actual queue which was quite long. On the opposite side of the corridor was for those that were just walk-ins. People who were in the walk-in side of the corridor where just show straight into the dining room while the rest of us had to. On getting to the desk, we where told that there was a glitch in the app and we shouldn't have been able to book! On our second day we were haing lunch in the MDR one of the gentlemen on our table said he hadn't had anything to eat on embarkation day as everywhere was booked or full. I had problems with the app as it kept freezing when trying to book dining venues, so often just went down as a walk-in, some days we had to wait some we didn't. I was surprised as to the number of children on board as it was still term time and didn't use the pools because of them. A lot of people that I spoke to weren't happy with having to book everything using the app, saying it took away the spontaneity of being on holiday. These are just some of my comments of being on board. Would I sail on Arvia again? Maybe, if the itinerary and price was cheap enough.
  20. Just skimmed through the last days posts. I have made it! I am on board😁have just a bite to eat, found our cabin. Next I'm going to a bar for a drink.
