  1. Glad it's not just me! I normally have a read first thing, although I don't always post.
  2. It's quite on here again this morning, is it because everyone is having problems like I have had?
  3. We're on Britannia in September and having just checked the price is about £400 more with £10 more OBC, so at present we have the better deal.
  4. I am still waiting for the results of an MRI scan I had on 9th Feb. The scan was done in Truro, although my consultant is up in Plymouth.
  5. We flew out to Malta last April, after collecting our luggage and walking out to the coach our luggage was put into a van to be taken to the ship and seen again outside our cabin. Transfer between the airport and ship is by coach and on arriving at the port we were checked in before walking over to board the ship. Once on board it is the same procedure as embarking at Southampton. If you on fly one of P&O's arranged flights the ship will wait for you if it is delayed. We arrived about mid-day, had some lunch then went ashore for a wander to stretch our legs as we had been travelling for twelve hours.
  6. We used Opal each evening when we were on Iona and had the same table and waiters each night.
  7. We flew out and joined the ship in Malta last April (about lunchtime) and after having dropped our hand luggage in our cabin and having lunch wandered ashore to stretch our legs as we had been travelling for 12 hours.
  8. I stopped working in November and before Christmas we had several birthdays and then Christmas itself. Both OH and I were poorly over Christmas so took a while to recover, but had a trip to Venice to look forward to. Although I have a cruise booked for May, I am now beginning to feel bored, but have ordered some material to get back into sewing, with the intention of sewing myself some new clothes for the occasion, but have yet to find my mojo!
  9. Glad to hear that the vaping is going well for you. I did read the other day that cigarettes had gone up to £14. I remember when they used to be £2/6 a packet.
  10. I received my first state pension payout in January, all 4 days of it!
  11. Sorry to hear this, hopefully your visitors will cheer you up. Pam
  12. We have requested assitance many times for my mother and never had an acknowledgement, but have never had any problems, either at Southampton or Barbados.
  13. In regards of scam e-mails I keep getting notifications that my facebook password has been changed. They will have a job as I do not have an account.
  14. I used my payg phone in Venice to navigate my way around, after downloading GPS navigation before we went.
  15. Good morning to you all. It wasn't birds that woke me this morning it was my daughter moving around at 5 am getting ready to go to work. She normally leaves early but had to leave earlier than normal due to the trains being on strike and needing to catch the bus into work. OH's birthday today and having a celebratory meal tonight with some of the family. Have and good day. Pam
  16. Morning everyone, Hope everyone is well. A sunny day is forecast after all the rain we have had recently although windy. A good day to get the washing dry, if it stays on the line! Enjoy your day. Pam
  17. A Bernese Mountain dog, that answer to the name of Nala. She's a great big (50+ kilos) softy.
  18. Wishing Pauline a Happy Birthday from me too. Hope she has a lovely day.
  19. The out of stock items, include beef, chicken and bread, veggies not affected, although I buy a lot of our veg from the local farm shops.
  20. I have just tried doing a Tesco shop online, but have given up as there are several items out of stock. I have decided to go to the store and get the shopping myself, at least I can find an alternative I would rather have, instead of those that are being suggested.
  21. It's another rainy day along with being windy and cold. The reservoirs need the rain though and we still have a hose pipe ban in place.
  22. Good Morning everyone, Hope that those of you that have snow and cold temps stay safe and warm. Down here we are in double figures and even had a bit of sun a short while ago, although the forecast for this afternoon is rain. I don't know what I have done but my shoulder is sore and hurts when I move, probably slept on it funnily! Hope it eases off.
  23. A good few years back we were sailing on Black Watch and it was my mother's birthday while on board and although we hadn't said anything she was given a cake and the waiters sang happy birthday. We were told that they knew as it shows up on the booking details (e.g. passport).
