I have just been out to collect my daughter as there are no trains she had to bus it into work leaving at 6 am this morning to get to Truro but her return bus was running late and therefore missed the connecting service. The next bus wouldn't have been until 10.30 pm. I had to take the scenic route too as the main road is closed, and the government want us to use public transport more! Moan over🥴 Since I had my consultation on Wednesday, I had a phone call yesterday booking an appointment to plan my treatment, and a phone call today to book a MRI scan, so after waiting and having to chase them for the last six weeks things are now moving quickly. I am also now all packed and ready to go to Southampton to board Arvia on Sunday, and have now found some enthusiam.😀

We were due to travel up by train tomorrow, but there are no trains down here either today or tomorrow, so we have had no option but to come by road. I have now got another thing on my to-do list for when I return - get a refund off the train company.

We sail on |Sunday and had an email yesterday stating the same.

No, I have had to find another insurance provider. I have received a phone call from the hospital today with a pre appointment for Tuesday, 30th May (as we are away til just before then). Things seem to be moving pretty quickly now.

Morning everyone, Hope you're all well. Sun's trying to get out here so looks like it might be a nice day. A busy day for me today, I need to take a trip to Penzance station to get a refund on the train tickets I was sold, but the trains aren't running! I also still need to get one or two bits for our cruise at the weekend and I haven't started packing yet. I need to get myself into gear and get a move on, but don't seem to have any enthusiasm. Pam

Sorry to hear that they think the area is suspicious, but they are going to 'treat' it. Hope you don't have to wait too long for an appointment. Enjoy your weekend in London with your grandsons. We have been on the London Eye and I hope the weather is good for your flight.

After speaking to the oncologist, I am a little bit further forward as to what my treatment will involve and when. Treatment will probably be next month, but having rung my insurance to update them, I have been told that they cannot cover me for my tumour! So I solve one problem and another rears it's head!

No idea! I'm not bothered if we don't make it into Palma as I have been several times before, in fact I will be happy to go somewhere else.

A breezy day here and dry after a very wet day yesterday in techerous driving conditions! I'm waiting for a call from the oncologist and then I need to make several phone calls and start pack ahead of our cruise on Sunday. Hope everyone has a good day.

Often travelling with my mother, who uses a wheelchair, we will find a table and she will tell me what she would like and I would go and get the food. If there are no trays it will mean more than one trip as I only have one pair of hands!

Didn't watch much of the coronation yesterday as trying to sort out how we are going to get to Southampton for our cruise next Sunday, as the only train that shows on the timetable leaves here in the afternoon and it will take us over 20 hours to get there, if it running. We've having a BBQ for family here this afternoon so have done some baking this morning. Gin and tonic cake and scones.

Thank you. As I don't know yet how I will be travelling up to Southampton due to the train strikes, I will finally relax when I get on board. I'll be the one with the look of relief and a large drink in hand😄

I have finally had a phone call from the oncologist's secretary (I have been chasing them for the last three weeks) and have a telephone consultation with the doctor on Wednesday morning. Talk about cutting it fine for our cruise, although I still don't know if we will be going up by train due to the strikes, but do have a plan B.

I received their brochure through the post yesterday. There are some interesting itineraries, also of particular interest, a few of them sail from Falmouth.

My mother has just returned from Britannia and had a noticed on the last day that her final statement showed a charge for a spa treatment. She went and queried it at reception and was referred to the spa to sort it out, they gave her a credit and she is now waiting to see if it goes through to her credit card.

We are due on Arvia after you, so really interested to read your thoughts. I have managed to book some dining times in advance, but did not book all as do not really want to eat very early.

I have finally managed to book a few dining and entertainment options, both late and early. They are also showing in my calendar. As I have a lot of OBC I do not want to book them all in advance, but luckily I have boarding time of 12.15 pm.

Well, I've just logged into My P&O and dining venues were available to book. So I booked one, and went back to book more and they are now all blanked out again!🤷‍♀️😕

It's two weeks today that we board Arvia, and still waiting to hear from the oncology department. I've now got the added stress of tying to get up to Southampton due to the train strikes!🙄 Just sat down with a coffee and there's a knock on the door, which made me jump. It was my Tesco delivery, no subsitutions, plus he was early by nearly an hour. 😃 Have a good Sunday everyone.

By having receipts you have a least got proof that you have booked and paid for dining. I too want to book Olive Grove and a few more. I have got enough stress going on at the minute, trying to work out how to get up to Southampton, plus other issues, without having to monitor this too!
