Didn't watch TV last night, read my book instead, but sound as though I didn't miss much! Heavy rain down here last night but no thunder but there was a weather warning for it. Overcast and breezy with showers forecast today. And it's just started to rain.

If that is true why did it change he day we boarded at the end of April? Strict mask wearing didn't seem to be in force in Malta.

On Azura all the books were locked away too.

Morning everyone, how are you all? I watched bits of it last night, and the voting. Makes a change for us not to be at the bottom of the ratings. Nice sunny day down here after a night of rain, at pleasant 15oC and expected to get warmer😄 although they are forecasting showers later😒 Waiting for Tesco to deliver my shopping, but apart from that nothing planned. We flew out from Bristol at the end of April. We had all our paperwork (PLF's, covid vaccine paper, LFT's certificates, boarding passes, health declarations, passports and insurance) checked by staff before our luggage was checked in. We were the first flight out so had no issues re queues getting through security. As about 6 other plans landed when ours did it took us a long time to get through passport control in Malta. After collecting our own luggage it was a long walk back and forth to get to the exit door from baggage reclaim and then back and forth to the exit door. We then joined a long queue for the coaches. Our luggage was taken and put into a van to be taken to the ship while we boarded a coach. Having boarded the coach we then sat for around 20 minutes and were informed that they were waiting as they were only allowed so many passengers in the ship's terminal for check in!

We would certainly use Boots again as used them in January post cruise and again last month pre-cruise.

A few more from our wandering around the town.

We docked at Gruz Harbour and the shuttle bus was, if I remember correctly, £5 each each way if not on select fare. We did the trip from the ship to the cable car and then on to Cavtat. We then caught the shuttle bus back into Dubrovnik, had some lunch and then wandered around the old town.

Morning all, Sunny, a bit breezy and feels chillly out. Off to meet a friend for coffee at the local garden centre this afternoon, but nothing else planned. Had some good news yesterday, my daughter's MIL had a kidney transplant on Wed/Thurs night and is doing well. Fingers crossed it's successful🤞 Hope you are all well and those that have been ill or under the weather feeling better.

You can't beat a bargain. These two dresses were bargains. The green one was bought for our first P&O Cruise and was🙂 £34 down from £150 and the jacket was £12. The second, by the time I had a discount for shopping online and a percentage off as it was over a certain price and minus staff discount cost me £18.

We've got gull that comes and knocks on our back door😠 but it soon gets something thrown at it!

When we were on Britannia in a GE Grade cabin which didn't have a curtain between the sofa and the bed.

I've got to get ahead too for our week in Sicily in September when we go and visit family.

Good luck I'm sure you'll manage to get into your dress, it is a great sense of satisfaction when you get there. I managed to get into mine in January, one of them was even looser! I'm now on a post holiday diet, trying to loose the weight I put on while on Azura, so far so good - nearly there🙂

I was told that some area of the ship could not access the wifi, although I could pick up the crews' but couldn't use it. Had to keep changing my wifi setting when in the rest of the ship, so gave up in the end. It was just not worth the hassle.🙄

I believe it was because there was an increase of cases onboard. Since I have returned Malta has relaxed it's covid regulations, e.g. a PLF is no longer required. It could all change again before you board in a months time, as you know things are constantly changing🤞

We had no notification!

My Holiday app worked when I was on Iona in January, but it would not work in the cabin on Azura when onboard the end of last month/beginning of this!!

They changed to mandatory the day we boarded (28th April) prior to that it was only required to wear face masks, in the theatre and when visiting the medical centre.

It was when we where on board, end of April.

So in 10 years time when everyone renews their passport will the same situation happen?🤔

We were offerd coffee each evening on Azura but chocolates were only on formal nights.
