  1. Aaah. Need one with actual tires.
  2. We need to meet and negotiate. 😄
  3. We still enjoyed it. But agree that too many brought the required items. Like with the trivia, get into the 20th Century. For Quest have 100+ tasks. Then use the computer to randomly pick the required number. Same with trivia, each subject could have hundreds of items, and the computer pick the ones for today.
  4. And if things are not serious, in many households the spouse would say, "Go, have a good time, I will be fine. No reason for both of us to miss the cruise and lose the money."
  5. No. The statue is on top of a mountain overlooking the Rio towards the water. Sugar Loaf is a HUGE rock that is sort of out in the water. I hope you are there for more than one day.
  6. Don't miss Sugar Loaf also. And the Hippy Market (Ipanema area)
  7. He can control the speed with the hand brakes.
  8. We should get together and celebrate. I have 4 more work weeks. Total about 7 weeks, but 2 weeks for a 12 night cruise and 1 week for the holiday week
  9. How did you book? Some TAs (notably the BIG box store) do not subscribe to the program.
  10. I agree it is a huge hole. But obviously it makes sense to Royal. The thinking seems to be that having these people with such high status encourages them to sail Royal if they ever sail at all.
  11. Yes, rum is made from molasses. They squeeze the juice from the sugar cane, then boil it until it becomes thick and dark. Then they mix it with water and ferment it. Cachaça is make from the fresh squeezed sugar cane. Squeeze, ferment. I have some I picked up in Brazil that has an under taste of fresh sugar cane juice. When you are in Rio, on the second main road from the beach, behind the the Palace Hotel is a shop that has around 100 different cachacas. And you can taste some.
  12. It has been reported previously that it was allowed, if the parent was there and obviously getting the drink. But that was a while ago, so things may have tightened up.
  13. They have it in WJ sometimes. But you assemble it yourself. So, if you are not paying attention you will not mentally eggs benedict, just poached eggs, Canadian bacon, toasted English muffins and a sauce. 😄
  14. 7+% inflation. Prices will go up. The question is, would you rather pay higher cruise fares or let those people who eat 3+ meals pay a bit more? There are lines where EVERYTHING is included, including excursions, even if you don't take them. Of course the fares are higher.
  15. What could smell bad?? Sugar cane and lime and sugar.
  16. Did you ask the bartenders if they could make them? If they have the ingredients, they will be happy to make them. Even if they have to run to a kitchen to get something. I have had the pool bar bartenders run into WJ for real sugar to make caipirinha. They usually make them with simple syrup, which is NOT the same as being made with sugar.
  17. They will give you extra keys to the room. But the extra people will not get the suite benefits.
  18. Not only that, it cost about 1/2 again as much. Who would think that would be? 😄
  19. It depends on the Captain. Some do, some don't. Royal doesn't make them do them. It could also be the Staff Captain.
  20. Amazon has a nice light weight aluminum one. My Dad has one in his trunk. I was so impressed, I got one myself. $75 from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Medline-Aluminum-Rollator-Folding-Mobility/dp/B00B8F1H9O?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
  21. FYI, My offer still stands. 😄
  22. Exactly. And reports in the past are the the unlinked spouse/SO maintains the status level, but keeps their own points level.
  23. Nope, the status level does NOT drop. But the person drops to the actual points level. So as D, you link to Person A and take a 4 night cruise with them. They are D. You unlink. They remain D, but have 171 points to go to get to D+ It is a HUGE hole in their program.
