  1. Must be the airports you fly out of. I know they have checked mine at every airport I have flown out of.
  2. With Clear, the Clear rep checks you ID vis fingerprint or retinal scan. TSA person only looks at the boarding pass, but does not scan it.
  3. The "greeters" will not let you into the line without seeing it on your boarding pass. I have had to go back to the check in to get a new boarding pass with it printed on it.
  4. There is a SIMPLE answer. Book another cruise. DUH...... 😄
  5. Technically it requires connecting rooms. But practically, they have allowed next door or across the hall.
  6. No, you have to test, but you can do it yourself. They trust you. 😄
  7. Sorry, missed you were UK. But, it does say: At home, unsupervised lateral flow tests - such as those provided by the NHS or other healthcare providers are now accepted for your sailing
  8. GE includes Pre-Chek. Which is why just getting Pre-Chek makes no sense to me. For $15 more, you get both. Even if you only make one international return to the US, GE Is more than worth it. Clear enhances Pre-Chek with a shorter line. You can have Clear without Pre-Check, but that also makes little sense. Although, I have had that situation as each airline has the option to participate in Pre-Chek or not. And some do not. And when you get your boarding pass, if you have Pre-Chek, make SURE it is show in the boarding pass, or you cannot use it.
  9. Why are you getting an administered test? The email I got for our 12 night says: Accepted TestsGuests can take advantage of in-person, telehealth, and self-swab tests. This includes unsupervised testing. Proof of a negative test can be the printed or digital results, a clear photo of your self-test result, or your actual self-test in hand.
  10. It depends on how you cruise. Sone GGG sale cruises are around $100 per night per person. Do the math. And they ARE for loyalty.
  11. Clear is the trick. Leaving ATL last year, I was REALLY glad I had Clear and Pre-Chek. The Pre-Chek lines were long. The normal lines insane. And even about a 5 - 10 minute wait in the Clear line. I get my Clear discounted due to airline status.
  12. I think you have to sign him up. Years ago, you could not sign up until after you completed your first cruise, but it counted. But they changed so you can sign up before your first cruise.
  13. No, if you have non-refundable and cancel before final payment you are out $100 per person. Not the full deposit.
  14. Royal has not done anything for price reductions after final payment. One cruise with my parents we have a JS and a Balcony booked. And we booked late. A Royal Family Suite opened for 4 (now called 2 br Grand Suite). The price was almost $4000 less than our two rooms. NOTHING, NADA from RCI. We did take the suite, because, it was a suite. 😄
  15. You can also get alcoholic drinks on his voucher, and pay for the cheap stuff. 😄
  16. With Wifi Calling you can also just text. 🙂 I know that some discount carriers do not support WiFi calling, but what modern phones do not? The vast majority of people can use Wifi calling. But yes, for those few who cannot, Whatapp, or Skype, or Messenger, or Kik, or Imo, or Viber, or...... work fine. The only issue is, the person on the other end needs to be using the same app.
  17. So you have to pay for a few. You would have to drink about 11 per day to cover your Diamond drinks plus a Deluxe Drink package.
  18. Also get some fresh squeezed OJ at breakfast. A speciality coffee or two. A few bottles of water. It adds up.
  19. The guy argued that, but was told they were keeping a close eye on the bartenders and they needed to be opened. That cruise, they were also very accurate on their pours. Normally, they put more than a measure. They would also not provide a double. But you could order one, then order another and pour them together. I guess the Food and Beverage Manager was being a PITA.
  20. Why use WhatsApp when you can just use WiFi calling????
  21. I guess you have not spent time developing complex computer systems. Yes, intermittent errors DO occur. And they are hard to track down, because they don't happen all the time.
  22. As others, I have had great ones and not so great ones. FYI, the last couple of cruises on Grandeur (pre-pandemic) they were not available every day.
  23. I am using this one: https://stream2sea.com/ We did an all inclusive in Mexico a couple of years ago and they stated they only allowed ones with certain characteristics and that this one was OK. They SAID they would check and take any ones not allowed. I got a large bottle, so we are still using it, and it works well.
  24. I have switched to all reef safe sunscreen
