I can understand why they would pivot to no photos. We were allowed to take photos on our bridge tour but it was several years ago. I don’t think I’ve looked at them even once. I think people should be ok. We have gotten to such a state in our culture that some sort of camera/phone is practically surgically attached to our bodies. I’m ok with some things just being a memory in my mind.

Our porthole room was wonderful! We had room 8118 on Ascent. It was quiet, spacious, and the true balcony was small but wonderful! I am not a Sun worshiper so being able to sit on the balcony in a shaded spot any time of day was an added bonus.

The Eden signature cocktails are weird IMO and not worth the upcharge. When we visit the Eden bar we order our tried and true go-to's...Makers and ginger ale for him and Grey Goose and soda with a splash of cran for me. Call me boring but the strange concoctions in Eden just aren't for me.

Just tell the truth. If you can, name names of those who took care of you so they are not negatively impacted. Celebrity brass should be able to separate out concerns that are corporate over those that are service related specific to an actual person on the ship. Regarding food quality, I have to say that it has vastly improved over this time last year...IMO, of course.

Was the fact that you had a drinks package already showing in your cruise planner? My package is not. And whom did you call? The general Celebrity number or did you call Captain's Club?

No noise at all! Which deck were you assigned? You have a greater chance of hearing noise from below (if assigned a room on a lower deck) than from the door alcove.

Thank you! I will give this a try. But I reached out to my TA as well and she said it didn’t show bc I have a group rate and I’d have to upgrade once on board. I hope this isn’t the case bc then I can’t take advantage of the sale.

We think it’s rather unique and enjoyed it immensely. So wonderful that there’s enough out there for all of us sea lovers to find a product to best suit our cruising needs.

Yes Yes Yes! We also thought the 10:45 shows were way too late! We managed to hang in there but not gonna lie, it was a struggle!

How unfortunate! I know you must have been disappointed and rightfully so! However, imo this was a shortcoming of the staff on Eclipse, not the celebration package in general. We had a similar package on both Ascent and Equinox and both times were flawlessly executed. I hope customer relations on Eclipse provided you a refund for dropping the ball.

LOL that's too funny! I used to have a MF bag in the shape of a cruise ship. It was precious but I sold it on Ebay. I now use much more practical LV cross body. I'm sure DH would much prefer the MF price point!

Appreciate the review...and I totally concur with your assessment of assent...she's my new favorite ship. We will try Regent next year but I'm somewhat longing for it to be an e Class ship instead...but we have just too much OBC (over 3K) to give up now.

We booked via FBC for our upcoming Alaska cruise. The flight to Seattle was the same as the carrier. The advantage was not having to pay for the flights up front. In your circumstance, I would not pay 27% more just to have the ability to pay later.

No issue getting a 2 top. I can't say which had/will have better service over another...they were all great...but YMMV.

Well we will have our first experience on Edge at the end of May but we have been on Ascent, which is also an eclass ship. Unique to Edge (e Class) is that there is no assigned dining, despite what it might say in your cruise planner. You can show up at your desired MDR at your desired time and be seated on a first available basis. I also know that Edge is a bit smaller than the sisters in this class and has a different bar set up in the main foyer.

They seem to be quite random but often they align with holidays. Our next major holiday is coming up in May. My problem is, my drinks package isn't even showing in my planner so there's no option to upgrade. Not sure how to fix it.

Finally caught up on your adventure. Love your pictures and ship details. Connie looks very fresh and bright. With the amount of time spent off the ship in a port intensive itin, as long as the bathroom works and bed is comfy, I’m happy! Thank you for being so generous with your time!

You could also try to change your early dining the anytime dining once you board.

Have you ever used the search feature? I’ve tried in earnest several times. The problem with the search function, as mentioned in many threads…lol…is that it pulls up every post with one’s key words no matter how old or relevant to the post may be to the inquirer of info. My go-to for searching CC is to post my question in google instead. It’s much easier to weed out the mess and hone in on a desired answer. im not sure I would think to google my intended post ahead of starting a new thread on CC just to see if something has already been posted…but perhaps I will start.

I’m not a shareholder so maybe they’ve gone over my head. I did buy in to Carnival during the Covid halt but we sold it for a small return once it climbed back up. Our carnival days are long gone so the share holder benefits aren’t appealing. Not sure the RCL benefit is enough to entice me to buy in. all that to say I still maintain that despite multiple threads that may occur, it’s impossible to see them all unless one monitors these boards 24/7. I made a post the other day and was told it was old news. But if wasn’t to me and possibly wasn’t to others either. Not trying to be argumentative, I just think there’s enough room on these boards to unwittingly repeat a topic and still attract new eyes.

I have this suite booked in July. Would you mind elaborating on what makes this suite your favorite? Ours is a 4 night and I was wondering the same thing about the included liquor...is there a 7 night minimum to qualify for this perk? Edit: I see @Kteacher already addressed this in another post.
