  1. how many loungers do they have on the pool deck?? I cannot imagine there is one per pax maybe just the Pax are more interested in other activities vs sitting on the pooldeck
  2. Just mention to the restaurant manager that you have an issue if they question your footwear Usually they do not bother people with clunky shoes they know older people may have foot issures
  3. According to another thread on the construction it was necessary due to a leak but yes they should have cancelled the cruise & had the work done. I am sure it was not the best idea to have the pool deck ripped up & the noise for the whole cruise that would have annoyed me as well As for the costs you could have done the math before booking so that is on you JMO
  4. Also check on the Can/NE forum https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/9-canadanew-england/
  5. I have thick porous hair & they dry my hair very well
  6. They have the tours marked but like other thing people do not read the fine print How many pax will still book this excursions that have limited mobility 🙄 EG: PLEASE NOTE This tour involves approximately 100 yards of walking to the Kemp House and Stone Store and another 700 yards of mostly downhill walking at the Waitangi Treaty House and grounds. There are 12 steps in the Stone Store to access the 1st floor, which may be skipped. Visit to the Waitangi Treaty House is self-guided. The tour is available to wheelchair guests who have a collapsible chair, are able to make their own way on and off the transportation and have an able-bodied companion to assist them. Those with mobility concerns are cautioned to carefully evaluate their personal level of stamina before participating.
  7. There are loungers everywhere with a small path to walk to the other side of the deck where would they put more loungers? Maybe they should just enforce their chair saving rules maybe have one big burly crew member patrol the loungers I not sure anyone would confront him if he moved their belonging after 45 mins of absence We have seen people put books & the breakfast smoothie next to the lounger then go off the ship for the day ..we returned to area in the afternoon both still there ..the pax returned at 4pm to sit in the loungers Next day same thing on a sea day asked the deck crew to remove the items after 2 hrs after we searched for a lounger Pax returned 2 hrs after we were seated & screamed at me for moving there things told him to talk to the deck crew . as I never "Touched " his items I might have tossed them overboard but that is not allowed 😉
  8. Some will wear jacket some will wear a tie Some will wear long sleeved shirts some SS sleeved shirts with a collar Wear what you prefer DH does not take a Jacket any more yes he wears old men shoes in Black so they do not stand out so much No dresses for me but other ladies may prefer them no heels for me bus some do Heels on a moving ship can be hazardous 😉 Enjoy the cruise
  9. I agree Maybe that is why they are lowering the SM credits I will not book with SM
  10. If you are AC the check in is fairly quick & if security is open next to the AC desk it will quick I would try to get off by 8:30 at the latest if flying AA all bets are off 😉
  11. A collared shirt/with sleeves for dinner unless in the Terrace & Pizzaria
  12. You can always call & ask to waitlist for a class or once onboard go to DS & ask to be put on the list if someone should cancel We have had some luck with that method
  13. Where are these "entitled " or rude pax coming from 😲
  14. They have a few that go to Gatun Lake & Colon before heading back to Miami
  15. No better to let the pax do it & end up in the Medical center (extra revenue) 😈 If you tell the TA or O rep when you book you want 2 single beds it usually will be set up when you arrive do not wait until you are onboard on day 1 to ask the crew are very busy
  16. I would think those that will be devastated by not having the bathroom upgraded would have time to cancel before penalties kick in Unless you booked after Sept 1st this year of course then too bad JMO
  17. they used to provide the paper version Complainers wanted apps for menus & other things onboard so I guess Oceania was trying to make things more modern for them I like the paper version & have in the past mailed them in after the cruise Even an online link you could do after the cruise would probably suit most pax JMO
  18. You have to log in with YOUR Oceania club number We both were able to do the survey using our OWN club number located on your room card/key
  19. Did they remove the shower from the tub area?
  20. Many people are used to eating in fast food places & the idea of sitting in the dining room for 1-2 hrs being served it too much to handle so they head to the buffet A friend of ours will only eat in the buffet because he can snorkel his meal down in less than 20 -30 mins We prefer the dining room & having the waiter serve us personal choice
  21. we were on Vista Oct on deck 7 only issue we had was when they lowered the tenders right by our cabin no creaking or noisy neighbours I guess we were lucky except for the slippery deck 😒
  22. we had minimal issue in the 45 day slot 2 with 2 tops 2 sharing went back in a week or so later & got the other 2 changed to 2 tops all for 6:30 pm YMMV
  23. Or maybe they meant SAINT John NB & not St John's NFLD many people get them confused
  24. Interesting there is usually a fee for non alcoholic beer Did you have the Prestige beverage package?
