  1. It depends on the bartender although I've never been asked. Since you can't but the drink package for just one individual in a cabin they can charge each person accordingly. We always get 2 doubles at the same time an it's never been a problem.
  2. Yes, there was in March/April in Ft Lauderdale.
  3. Although I didn't do a speed test on the Enchanted in April during a Caribbean cruise, it was fast enough to stream movies from Netflix and Comcast without any delays.
  4. No waiting to get on the ship unless they're not boarding yet. They'll let you into the terminal waiting area and when boarding begins you'll be let on board in the order you arrived.
  5. After they get finished rummaging through your cabin they have no need for it any more.
  6. I've stopped even checking with Princess directly since all the available cabins don't show up as they do using my TA. Why that's so is puzzling since they should all be available checking either way. Even checking another TA gives me more avail cabins than the Princess web site.
  7. I would be more concerned about losing your Medallion when walking around the ship. Anyone that finds it can have access to your cabin until you report it lost including directions to your cabin door. 😲
  8. Although I didn't inquire on my last cruise in April they have always advertised that you could request a cruise card as a replacement. We've always enjoyed the Medallion functions and have no reason to be incognito. Actually you're tracked less on a Princess cruise ship with a Medallion then you would be at home, even without a cell phone in your pocket. Your car license plate is being scanned no matter where you go as well as cameras in every store parking lot and as you drive down the street. Can't live without one any more. I'm addicted.
  9. Make sure he has a few extra pairs. The ones that come back from the laundry will be 1 or 2 sizes smaller.
  10. What's app works like a charm. Although with a hotspot, both devices have to be nearby each other in order to get reception.
  11. I was thinking guys in blazers/suit jackets on formal nights. Now it's common to see them in dockers/dress shirt/polo, etc.
  12. Only a year or so ago you would be in a small minority if you didn't conform to the crowd.
  13. You sure can. It'll still open your cabin door but you'll have to wave your card in front of it so it'll unlatch. The Medallion will open it from a few cabins away & it'll be unlatched by the time you arrive. Oh, without a Medallion your wife wouldn't be able to locate you on the ship. You'll lose that function with only a card. That may be what you want anyway. 😄 LOL
  14. Good to hear. Although I didn't need to, it would have been handy at times.
  15. That's what we found our on last trip (from word of mouth). Maybe the people just didn't like the regular DR or buffet food?
  16. Since you've made up your mind that the Medallion is not for you then once on the ship just go to the Pass services desk and turn it in for a cruise card. It doesn't open the door as easily or they won't be able to find you to deliver drinks but at least you won't have to worry about it.
  17. We used to look forward to the BOGO Specialty dinner on the first evening. Now that's not available any longer we don't even bother to go at all on any evening. I guess they don't need the business.
  18. Just bring your formal clothing and you'll be prepared for anything. You shouldn't have to dress as the others do.
  19. Very often they're busy with people & you can walk right by without a word being said....of course if you insist on them taking your money, they'll oblige. 😄
  20. Ha ! Maybe I wasn't drunk enough when I tried it.
  21. Also, take a photo of your luggage before you hand it to the porters when getting on the ship. It's hard to describe most bags should it never make it to the cabin. - better yet use AirTag or Smart Tag.
  22. You can usually bring on additional bottles at distant ports without having to pay corkage fees. They're very lax about collection or holding any bottles till the end of the cruise.
  23. The chip worked OK but I couldn't test the magnetic strip unless it first wouldn't recognize the chip as the first option. Maybe it's shot but I'll never know. 😊
