  1. They've fooled me for the last time with that prime rib. If a local restaurant were serving something similar they wouldn't be in business to long.
  2. Aren't jeans considered "work clothes"?
  3. At least they're going to church. A hat would seem to be the least of the problem.
  4. Good luck with that idea. Those parents that don't see how their kids are behaving badly just accept it a normal behavior all the time. It's even worse on a cruise ship since their usually occupied with enjoying themselves. Thankfully those 10 day and longer trips eliminate some of those families.
  5. Same thing on the Enchanted. While it looked decent the flavor wasn't good at all. I left most of mine on the plate and the head waiter wanted to replace it. No thanks. I ordered one of their steaks and although it was eatable it wasn't any better than a typical minute steak they had at the buffet.
  6. The most important thing is to do what pleases you as an individual, not what other may think. That's want is so nice about the way Princess is handling this whole dress code requirement.
  7. Things haven't changed. 😉
  8. I have no idea about the Enclave but it was busy. Sorry.
  9. Cheesy, but considering the number of people who will watch the old love boat series it might make them some money after all.
  10. In recent years it's become less and less formal. (especially just after the return from the shutdown) It's all what you want to make of the night. Some still dress up while others dine in what used to be considered casual. Princess doesn't seem to enforce any dress code like they used to.
  11. They might as well have. No shows, stayed in the cabin most of the time, ate mostly in specialty restaurants, hardly used the elevator. Why bother to pay for a cruise. Just drive to the beach & look at the ocean. It's cheaper. 😄
  12. We received a refund from Princess for funds I'd forgotten about from our April trip about 6 or 7 weeks later. 😊
  13. It could be that people don't want to gather unnecessarily in any large groups indoors due to Covid. Going to a show is one thing but to get together just to chat might not be popular at this time.
  14. When re-boarding in Port everglades last April, I left the ship twice during a B2B2B & returned with an empty suitcase only containing a dozen plastic bottles each time and security didn't blink an eye. Princess might ask that you don't but security doesn't care one way or the other.
  15. We can hope that'll improve the service.
  16. They had a similar setup on the Enchanted. It wasn't announced.
  17. Dining at a 2 top is what we've been doing for years now & it provides a somewhat private dining experience if you know which table to request. People alongside can be ignored if you don't want to have that cruising type of conversation. They quickly get the message when you only briefly respond to their comments.
  18. As Earthworm Jim pointed out, it's probably because local authorities insisted on it & forced Princess to agree or not dock at their ports. The same thing could happen in the Caribbean I suppose.
  19. We thought the internet service in March/April when it was on the Caribbean was OK. I had no trouble downloading movies and recorded programs from my provider and from Netflix. I also did a 2 hour + zoom call and it didn't lose signal even once. We also used the WhatsApp app to place phone calls, again without any problems. It sounds as though once the ship left Ft Lauderdale things fell apart.
  20. We used our Roku last cruise and I always bring many video's to watch on a thumb drive but our internet speed was quick enough that Netflix loaded almost instantly (Caribbean trip). I'll still bring my thumb drive in case the internet goes down or gets to slow.
  21. They did have a plate of dried out cookies at one time many years ago. I can't imagine that many people ate them.
  22. At the very least it's always been casual for that party. It'll be interesting to hear what it's changed to now. I can't say I've every seen shorts at the Capt. party.
  23. Things are looking up, at least for the Discovery after all. 😉
