  1. Sometime if you arrive early enough the collection table to collect the corkage charge isn't even set up at yet. 😏
  2. They had Red Bull if that counts. I tasted it once & dumped it. Nasty stuff.
  3. I tried it yesterday on my chip card with an old medallion but when I checked out at Walmart I forgot to swipe the care & used the chip portion. Theoretically it should be cancelled (according to some people). We shall see.
  4. Well in the past it actually did suffice and today even more so now that Princess has turned a blind eye towards dressing up at all on formal nights. At least they've given the guys a little more leeway that had been afforded to only the women in the past.
  5. The food they had on the Enchanted wasn't really anything to get excited about. Basically nothing that you couldn't order in the DR.
  6. I think it might have been that people were just interested in seeing what the food was compared to the regular food served on a cruise ship.
  7. My husband made us a couple of medallion holder that holds it to any blouse or shirt with a magnet. You can change out medallions at the beginning of a cruise. This was before they had the small plastic holder's which clip on the edge of a shirt which also work quite well.
  8. It's popularity has fallen off since many people are sailing with the Plus package.
  9. Oh. Sorry, I didn't consider that option.
  10. I don't remember which ship it was but they did a luncheon setup by the pool on one afternoon.
  11. To us, the buffet on the Caribbean Princess was a big letdown compared to the Royal class ships. It's one of the reasons why we wouldn't book another one on that ship. To many items already dished out n little containers sitting under heat lamps. Items in the dessert section that should have been hot never were throughout the whole cruise. Of course things may have changed by now. Good luck and let us know how it was.
  12. But I think you'll agree that the food they offer is a little better.
  13. Oh, it's gotten much better over the years but it's not exactly the same menu, especially on formal nights. We always check the DR menu beforehand to see if there's anything we like & go from there.
  14. I've placed a medallion next to all my credit cards and the magnets do not cancel them. It takes a much stronger magnet to do that. The magnets in the medallion simply aren't strong enough (no matter what some people believe) although if placed near a Princess cruise card they will cancel it. The Princess cards were only cheap temporary cards similar to parking lot and hotel cards and were never meant to stand up to that weak magnetic field. Give it a try with one of your credit cards as proof. 😉
  15. Can you just imagine the work that went into the prep not to mention the cost of food these days. 😲
  16. Did they install a physical block to the HDMI input port to keep people from plugging in a cable or is it a software change that keep you from connecting?
  17. Now that I didn't see.... at least on a formal night. Many did wear them on casual evenings to dinner but my husband though it was to cold. (and he actually enjoys it on the cool side)
  18. That's the pier I'm counting on. The pier is to far from town.
  19. Unlike the old cruise cards, the magnets in the Medallions aren't strong enough to cancel your credit cards. The cards issued by hotels are probable easily cancelled also.
  20. Those nights we go to the buffet we arrive early and there might be 10 people waiting to eat. Once that initial crowd goes through it quiets down to a steady orderly flow. Of course there won't be all the selections that the DR offers. 😉
  21. Churches here in Florida have never been dressy unless it's around Christmas or Easter. Many people wear shorts most of the year as it gets hot even for the early service.
  22. You can still request the old style card at the Pass Serv. Desk. I'm not sure it provides you with all the same features as the medallion but it will open your door, let you make purchases and get you on and off the ship.
  23. Not recently on the Enchanted in the Caribbean in April. The signs regarding dress code were removed. Actually there was no mention about a dress code, period. Unless you looked it up on the internet, it wasn't mentioned other than at the top of the patter being casual or formal. Maybe they put the signs back for those Europeans since they like dressing up so much. 😁
