  1. Keep in mind that on the M class ships, if the Maitre'd is willing, you can order off the Blu menu in Luminae. On the Summit last spring, our server brought all 3 menus every night.
  2. I wonder - is the charge for any filet, or for the upcharged one with morel mushrooms and truffle sauce? I read on a post a while ago that they got one of the upcharge items but at a discount.
  3. Hi. I'm along for the ride. I've done Mexican Riviera a lot on Princess, and once on the Solstice.
  4. Maybe. We did 155.00 each to Aqua last year. We enjoyed Blu a lot. (Eclipse)
  5. Could be. Back when we sailed Princess a lot we'd either get some OBC if the fees went down, or a small amount added to our onboard bill if they went up. I don't think our bottom line ever changed after final payment.
  6. Somewhere around that. Did you think they work for free?
  7. If it's about 10-15%, maybe they refunded the commission amount to your card. They do that from time to time. It's a glitch, apparently.
  8. How about a 10 (1 CC ) to a one question survey - Did you request the removal of tips from AI? Y/N
  9. We were on the Caribbean Princess last month (Bob, I fondly remember all our dinners together last time we were on the ship) and while we were in Reserve Mini, our friends were in a full suite, and after the cruise he emailed me to say he saw us leaving from Sabatinis, but didn't have a chance to say goodbye, so on the Caribbean as well.
  10. We won a move up from Concierge to Aqua and were assigned an A1. I was able to move to an A2 (preferred location for me), but she had do some manual adjustment of pricing.
  11. You keep the package perks you have, but you get the room perks, which in the case of Aqua means the spa perks and Blu. No charge for Blu, but you don't get the wifi and gratuity.
  12. Don't - the several time changes are brutal. (When we did east to west 5 hours by the end we were on deck with 6 am joggers. we're night people).
  13. My app updated and I thought I couldn't see the browse. A fellow CC'er helped me. On the checkin page, go to Select a different cruise. Once there, go to "Don't see your cruise? Add it now". Below the info to add it, in small print, is "Browse our ships". I hope that's comprehensible.
  14. You wouldn't. Maybe that's why only Elites go. 😁 Seriously, the event predates the Plus/Premium packages, so most people didn't have them (drink packages by themselves require a lot more drinking than I do to be worth it).
  15. I might be wrong, but I don't think it's limited to Elites, they just get it for free. Others pay, I think it used to be around 9.00
  16. Too bad you missed Manhattenednge -where the sunset lines up perfectly with the street grid. It's very cool.
  17. Right after sailing resumed, and they'd cancelled both the HH event and the Cruise Critic gathering, due to crowding/Covid concerns. Of course, that didn't stop them from doing the more crowded silent disco.
  18. Keep in mind that only one of you needs the points, as long as it's the same one. DH has my status, even though he's one behind in terms of his points (because I do one a year with my sister). He doesn't do power up at all, since he doesn't need it.
  19. Price is per person for the trip (and when we got Concierge to Aqua and I told DH, he asked the same question).
  20. Exactly. I'm hoping that, assuming they're well attended, that they'll resume nightly. Or (just thought of this) maybe it's a trial balloon. If they're well attended, they'll go back to nightly. If not, then they'll figure people really prefer the drinks at most bars, and drop it again.
  21. Then don't worry too much, since they'll probably have the same wines on the next cruise (I'm assuming you'll make Elite after the first one?)
