  1. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.
76 right now heading up to a sunny 88 this afternoon.

At one time I loved Hostess Cupcakes but it’s probably been over 30 years since I had them, Twinkies were great too, in fact I liked them better than the cupcakes. Hamsters are cute.

Funny quote but some might not find it that funny.
I love Turkey and could probably eat it everyday but I’m not sure I’d like it ground up.

We’re sailing on the Enchanted Princess tomorrow but have nothing booked until December on the Equinox, looking at early August before peak hurricane season, probably going to book MSC Seaside out of Port Canaveral or maybe Enchantment of the Seas out of Tampa.

Have a great day and stay well.

  2. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

A warm 75 this morning with a high of 88 and sunny skies.

    Good selection of days.

I’m not sure about the quote as family and friends are part of our lives.

    I like the meal.

Norway and other cold places are not on my bucket list.

A little glitch on my IPad as every time I turn it off unwanted widgets show up, I think I’ve corrected the problem but I thought that a few other times.

Have a great day and stay well.

  3. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

73 right now as we are heading to 90 this PM.

Good selection of days, with Greek ancestry I have one gene of Thalassemia which is also known as Mediterranean Anemia, my symptoms are very mild.
As a chocolate lover, the quote is great.

While in Vietnam I was asked to volunteer to be stationed in Da Nang and refused and stayed in Nha Trang,

Have a great day and stay well,

The Pinnacle ships have good design features. Unfortunately, my actual experiences were unfortunate.

On the K, liquid scrambled eggs were served for several days on two consecutive cruises. Never again. I breakfast early in the morning. Sometimes, there's no waiter. The pax get their own beverages. After a while, the waiters who are there don't bother to offer beverages.

On the Statendam cruise, the ship had just finished dry dock, and the crew should have been fresh. But, the Dive-In only offered pre-cooked hotdogs at the opening hour. Take it or leave it.

I had CO, and tried to dine in that restaurant. I gave up after 2 meals because the hostess was so abusive. For the rest of the cruise, the restaurant was half filled at best. I saw the Hotel GM Mustafa Gulbahar standing in the restaurant and gesturing angrily at the empty tables.

Don't get me started on the Pinnacle elevators (enough on the Noordam class). The list goes on and on.

I have only one cruise with HAL this year to complete 4-star Mariner. Its on the NA (never sailed this class). My cabin is a partial OV with the long window. That's all I'm willing to pay HAL. Then, its done.

IMHO, HAL has been unable to maintain higher prices. The ships are understaff. With the additional crowding from low low fares, and free 3rd and 4th pax, it won't get better.

I agree, HAL has issues that need to be corrected before we sail with them again and we are 4 Star Mariners who one time were extremely loyal, things starting changing before the pandemic when Orlando Ashford was HAL’s president.

  5. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

A warm 76 this morning with a high of 89 with more sunny skies coming up.

    Good selection of days.

Good quote by John Lennon, I was lucky enough to see Lennon and the rest of the Beatles back on Sept. 5 1964 in Chicago on their first American tour.

    I’m in on the meal.

Had my annual checkup yesterday and everything including blood pressure and blood labs were excellent.

Have a great day and stay well.

  6. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

73 this AM with a high of 89 and sunny skies.

Interesting days, I hated homework, tried to get it done in study hall.
I’m constantly dieting but I had my gall bladder removed 4 years ago and your metabolism gets messed up and it’s hard to lose weight as you don’t process food and fats in a normal way, I’m about 10 pounds over where I’d like to be.

One of those Greek guys my ancestors knew with a quote that’s spot on.

I’ll pass on the salad even though I love Feta cheese, just don’t care for pears.

Maine is one of the few states I haven’t visited so haven’t experienced Bar Harbor.

Monday’s are early tee times for our golf group, we lost a few more snowbirds over the weekend and are down to around 3 foursomes for the summer.

Have a great day and stay well.

Just being on a cruise ship is amazing.

A balcony cabin and Speciality restaurant dining every night makes us happy regardless of what the reviews say or which cruise ship we are on.

I'm sure you will have a fantastic cruise.

This will be our 74th cruise and we never had a bad one, just some have been better than others.

  8. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

It’s 69 right now heading up to 88 with plenty of sunshine.

    Good selection of days.

I’m not sure about the quote.

    I would try the meal.

A week to go for our cruise on the Enchanted Princess, hope everything is good, I’ve read some great reviews and some not so great.

Today is the  Run for the Roses, the 150th Kentucky Derby, here’s a hot tip, I’m going  with the favorite Fierceness. The problem with the Derby is there are way too many horses and if a horse has a lousy post position way on the outside the horse might be boxed out or have a hard time making up ground getting close to the rail, IMHO the Preakness and Belmont are better races because they usually have only 9 or10 horses.

Have a great day and stay well.

  9. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

71 this AM with a high of 89.

    A couple of strange days.

    The quote is pretty good.

Carrot Cake is a favorite of mine but it has a lot of calories.
We have been to France and the French Riviera but not to Marseille.

Margaret Mitchell most definitely deserved the Pulitzer Prize for Gone With The Wind, I read the novel in 1963 in High School and did a book report on it, the movie is also great and we have watched it over 20 times.
We spent a beautiful 4 hours at Englewood Beach yesterday, more people than I expected as some snowbirds are still around.

Have a great day and stay well.

  10. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

A warm 73 this AM heading up to 88 this afternoon, highs in the 90s coming up next week.

    Good selection of days.

The quote is right on the money.

    I’ll pass on the meal.

I’ve been to Montevideo, the one in Minnesota not in Uruguay.

Had a Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde round yesterday shooting a 35 on the front nine and a 44 on the back 9, wheels sort of came off but I did get it back on the last 3 holes.

We will make it to the beach today.

Have a great day and stay well.

  11. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

69 this AM heading up to 85 with abundant sunshine.

    Excellent selection of days.

    Meh on the quote.

The meal is worth a try.

Juneau was the first stop on our 2000 Alaskan cruise on the Celebrity Galaxy, it was cold and damp that day, once was enough.

We didn’t go to the beach yesterday as our dentist office called and they were able to move up my appointment which was after our May 11 cruise, I had a piece come off  an upper right tooth so the dentist was able to put a temporary crown, procedure took about 90 minutes, not a lot of fun, the permanent crown might be in before our cruise.

Have a great day and stay well.

I am a life-long Red Sox fan. I know how you feel. But I experienced a miracle in 2004. I know there has to be one in your future.

We won it all in 2005, I remember beating your guys I the first round of the playoffs 3 games to none, in fact we went 11-1 in the postseason which tied the Yankees with the best postseason record ever, we beat the Angels 4-1 and then swept the Astros for the World Series Championship.

  13. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

69 this AM with a high of 86 and lots of sunshine.

Never heard of Beltane Day but who hasn’t heard of Bugs Bunny, one of the most iconic cartoon characters ever, Whats up doc. When I was a kid and went to a Saturday matinee with 25 Cartoons, Bugs always got the loudest cheers.

    Good quote.

    Pass on the meal.

Going to grab some sunshine today at the beach.

My Lightning were eliminated in their first round playoff with the guys from the other side of the state, oh well, now I can concentrate on the baseball season.

Have a great day and stay well.

  14. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

65 this morning with another sunny day coming up and a high of 84.

    Good selection of days.

    Great quote on real friendship.

    I’ll pass on the meal.

My parents were married 79 years ago today and I showed up 10 months later, my father was in the Navy and came home to Chicago right before Germany surrendered, he was injured at Normandy when his ship stuck a German mine off Utah Beach, he was one of the few survivors losing many of his ship mates. He returned to England where he recovered from his wounds and spent his remaining service time there before returning home in mid April of 1945 and my folks married a couple of weeks later.

Have a great day and stay well.

  15. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

It’s 69 this morning heading up to 83 with sunshine.

    Very good days.

I’m not sure about the quote, the percentages might be skewed a bit.

    I’m in on the meal.

Heading off to church in a couple hours, it’s Palm Sunday in the Greek Orthodox Church.

The Lightning are still alive as they beat the Panthers 6-3 yesterday but the odds are still against them winning the series as they must win the next 3 games.

Have a great day and stay well.

Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

Happy King's Day. Yum, I like devil dogs cakes but don't have any (I didn't know of the military connection). No dog here. Children should be taught to save. Good quote. Maybe on the meal. Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Ilulissat.

It's partly cloudy and in the 60's. We had rain starting early this AM. I heard it at 4AM. I briefly woke up at 2, 4 and 7AM, getting about 7 hours of sleep. The wound area is now very black and blue, but not more painful. No big plans for today, although maybe having BFF hang some pictures.
