  1. What in the world could possibly be wrong with bananas next to the ketchup?
  2. We watched the video and listened to the sound of the horn while waiting in line to board. Went strait to our muster station and it was done. Love the new muster protocols. I never want to go back to standing in rows for 30 minutes in the humidity.
  3. Read that on his review an think it's brilliant. I hope it follows to all ships. The incessant reminders to get the muster done on embarkation day are annoying.
  4. Hopefully testing for vaccinated passengers disappears during the summer some time. 🙂
  5. I love aft-facing cabins... We got a great one on deck 10 of Odyssey. With an aft cabin you have a little more of a walk to cabin but you have much less traffic in from of your door at night and in the morning if you trying to sleep and you have dynamite views from an extra deep balcony.
  6. You do not need to download the app. Everything can be done from their website... https://arrivecan.cbsa-asfc.cloud-nuage.canada.ca/en/auth?returnUrl=%2Flanding-page
  7. The key is to find a good one who truly knows the in and outs of Royals business. In the challenging world of Covid with shifting protocols I'd recommend using one but do your best to uncover one that is more than an order taker.
  8. Yes, I've been there a thousand times in the past but really that's not the only reason. Primarily it is the time we stop. We arrive at 5pm and are there until 10pm. This stop spans the dinner hour and is just to fulfill PVSA. I'll stay onboard and wave to my old home and native land from my balcony. If we were arriving earlier I might hop a cab to Tim Horton's for a double double and a Canadian Maple donut and a selfie in front of their sign. Other than that no more interest.
  9. I am the same. I'll always get off at least for a little walk about in the port shopping area. The first exception to that will be this coming Alaska cruise. I won't bother getting off in Victoria.
  10. DW always gets a massage on day 1 but then I make sure we have the earliest boarding time possible and I push dinner out a little later. If you're committed to working that day I'd push the chef's table to another night. Cruising is about relaxing for us and stressing about meeting to many scheduled things on day 1 is sure to ruin it for us. You may be different though.
  11. My wife, daughter and grand daughters all make extensive use out of Shein. https://us.shein.com/pdsearch/Teen Dresses/?ici=s1`SuggestionSearch`Teen Dresses`_fb`d0`PageRealClass&scici=Search~~SuggestionSearch~~1~~Teen_20Dresses~~SPcSearchWordsSuggest~~0&src_identifier=st%3D4`sc%3DTeen Dresses`sr%3D0`ps%3D7&src_module=search&src_tab_page_id=
  12. Greetings fellow warriors, Many years ago Homer captured the epic return of Odysseus to Ithaca following the conclusion of the Trojan war. It is a brilliantly written poetic masterpiece that, if you are literary minded, will grip your soul. This will not be Homer’s Odyssey. This will mostly be a narrative about me excessively eating and drinking for 8 days. 🙂 This is our third cruise since the restart. We loved each previous one irrespective of protocols. We hope and expect this one will be the same. This is our first Quantum class ship so we’re especially excited about trying it out on a brand new version of it. We’re not night owls anymore and won’t be partying until late in the night so drinking begins early and ends early. Any recommendations about drinks to experiment with is greatly appreciated. We have the UDP on this one as well as the beverage package so most of dining will be in the specialty restaurants. I’ll post lots of pics and comment a little. Shows and activities spliced in between my eating and drinking will chronicled as best I can. I’ll do my best to answer any questions aboard the ship. The war has ended. (Covid is almost over) It is time for everyone to go home (Normal life needs to return)
