  1. Yes. Princess isn't known for it's consistency and this seems to vary from ship to ship. It should not. Sapphire still had the old menus in the MDR and Sabatini's so maybe its just her.
  2. I got off the Sapphire 21 days ago. We had the old plus package and we were limited to $12
  3. I get that a lot on Chrome. Works better on Foxfire.
  4. I was on her a couple weeks ago and ate there twice. 18 day cruise. We ordered what we normally get in the Crown Grill and I found it to be just as good. The atmosphere was ok but if there are loud talkers in there, it can get loud.
  5. We had Club Class so we ate in Santa Fe. Western type decor. I went to the Chef's table in the Savoy and thought it was much nicer. Food the same but better decor.
  6. Yes except if you're in a suite. Then no.
  7. It depends on the OBC. Some is not given until you are on the ship. I have 725 in OBC on my next cruise. I could use the OBC from using my FCC and shareholder. The rest I could not.
  8. I do..just got off one a week ago. There are no internet perks for a suite. You get it 50% off for being Elite. Depending on the length of the cruise, sometimes I like 2 mini bar set ups. Last one was 18 days so it was great. Laundry is faster in a suite regardless of how many Elites are on board. It can take up to 3 days if a lot of elites are on board, in a suite it's either same day or next day depending on what time your steward picks it up. Room service is faster. You can order from the MDR and eat in your cabin or on your balcony for any meal the MDR is open. I do the plus package also...if you're in a suite your daily gratuity is more so it's actually a benefit of the package since the package price is the same regardless of cabin. I aso like my mid afternoon specialty coffee. And maybe a wine while I dress for dinner. To sum up...I'm elite, I love a suite and I always buy a package.
  9. I was there in February and it was raining hard. Flights were delayed. Our Uber ride to the airport was terrible as they have no decent sewer system. And that was just a few inches. This was 22.
  10. Except for paying the difference on a few glasses of Silverado, everything I needed was covered
  11. I was on the Sapphire. They did everything old school.. old menus in the MDR and Sabatinis, ships log and the atmosphere on the ship felt like 2018.
  12. No. I got off the Sapphire last week and had the old package. $12 price limit and none of the new stuff.
  13. I am usually on board by 11. I go to Crooners and meet the bartenders. Then head to the MDR for lunch. By then my cabin is ready so I head there. After my luggage arrives, I head up to the Sailaway party. Drink a Dirty Banana. Then go get cleaned up for dinner. Then I head to the casino for a bit.
  14. I just looked at the hubby and told him it was time to cook dinner. We'll see if it works.
  15. Well, I'm home. This was a wonderful cruise. I was in a suite for the first time in 4 years and forgot how wonderful it is. Breakfast at Sabatinis was the best. Next day laundry. The room service speed was remarkable. We enjoyed all the ports, our day in the Sanctuary, the service all over the ship was so good. The casino was boring and in 18 days, I only saw one hand pay (not that I was there all 18 days). The 6 day land tour to Machu Picchu before boarding in Chile was worth every penny. 5 star hotels, great travel companions, memories to never be forgotten. We did the Venice and Santa Monica debark excursion since we had a late flight. Beautiful day to go to the beach. Flight out of LA delayed. Connection in Phoenix delayed. Stumbled into our house about 1:15 am. A trip of a lifetime.
  16. We're doing a full day. I have questions. Do you get any sun thru the awning? Do they serve any sort of breakfast food or should we eat before we go?
  17. This is a wonderful cruise. Yesterday in Costa Rica, we took the best of Puntarenas excursion. Cruise along the Tarcoles River, crocodiles and birds. Then lunch and a tram ride over the rain forest. Absolutely beautiful. Had our best night in the casino so far. Tonight is Sabatinis and then tomorrow will be my first time ever in the Sanctuary. Thanks to LACRUISER88 for mentioning how empty it is. Now, if they will just show basketball this weekend, that would be perfect.
  18. A few more thoughts. The Sapphire, at least this sailing is very old school. Elite amenities, everyone dresses for dinner..no jeans, t-shirts or ball caps sighted, tuxes on formal nights for some and the old menus. My favorite thing? When I order a drink with lemon, I actually get lemon.
