  1. go on line and look up Elliot Bay Marina Live. That will show the pier for Ovation and Quantum. it 3 photos so you can watch the ship leaving. if you reduce you browser to minimum and then drag the corners to almost full screen it will move some of the photos around to appear closer.
  2. yes it can be loud. When I was on the ship in April they moved the movie to the Aqua theater so that I could better see and hear it from by Boardwalk balcony. Wasn't that nice of them.....NOT. But those folks in C Park had a quiet night I guess. I hate the large screens on ships
  3. you should be a writer. I liked they way your comments flowed and the comparison to families at home being sent to their room. I do not think the daily will end any time soon. Too many lovely photos to post and ports and food to talk about.
  4. I see your ship ADV OTS is off coast of Bar Harbor. I hope you have a nice day in spite of 54 degree weather and rain. Bar Harbor is one of my favorite stops as well as Halifax. I will get to do a 9 day on ADV in Sept to NE and Canada. Hoping the ArriCan goes away by then. ha ha
  5. yes and Kathie Lee Gifford also helped and now Shaq
  6. I hope to do the ship too but wish it would sail out of Miami or Ft Lauderdale since airport is closer. I loved the Vista and I am doing the Horizon in Oct 2023 for Halloween.
  7. yes that happened to me a while back when I made fun of the food of the day and made a comment saying Yuck where did you get that from. I have learned that this group formed and renamed the post during covid. Yes it is a core group of folks with some coming on board new here and there. I posted the very first time a comment about a nice photo, and at least 4 people within a day welcomed me to this thread. I was surprised. But I will say this, some days are more interesting than others and for me I like to see what quotes and food and ports are listed. I LOVE when folks later in the day start posting photos from that port. It is where I have gotten some ideas for future trips. And those food photos and cat photos are fun. I understand some folks share about health and other things and I just read and move on. So in conclusion, while I have had a couple of minor spats, overall I keep coming back to see photos and join in. I think the attention to caring and sharing is part of the history of the thread and I suppose some folks are most passionate and protective. I feel like this thread is quite genuine in nature and cc has allowed it to continue. On RCI they have a thread about "how was your lockdown" and I have said already that it is just one long 2000 pages of enjoyment overall. toodles
  8. well that would be an interesting place to go. I myself have no desire. I am still trying to get down under. And sorry I misunderstood your comment and ya know what, I do like your photos but perhaps a bit more words to go along with them Peace out. I am on a ship in 2 weeks - Allure of the Seas.
  9. oh yes those folks are a gem are they NOT. And teenagers and kids running stomping up and down the halls. I swear folks those their minds and manners once they get on a ship. Then again the alcohol flows a lot and the loud music too so I guess they are absent minded.
  10. well some blame can be pointed to airplanes and just about anywhere the folks went during the 48 hours prior to boarding. this is why testing is so controversial because the negative is as of one day in time. That is why I will continue to wear masks around town doing chores as well as in airport, on the plane, in taxi or shuttle and in hotel lobby and on the ship as well. It has so far saved me
  11. aw but you will flop and rest when you get to the ship. Glad test was negative. That is really the greatest hurdle.
  12. wow when I first saw the title, my thought was the Pearl. They use that ship a lot for charters. I too am surprised they would use Prima during first year for any charters. oh well
  13. aw yes I was juggling several things and now I see what you meant. BTW where is your next cruise to?
  14. aw thanks for the photo. So that is where she landed. I was on her under HAL ownership to Alaska in 2010. Loved all the levels in the back covered for sitting and viewing the wake.
  15. BTW I am sad as I was supposed to be on the Rotterdam today in Bergen Norway. But fears of testing positive outside the country and then being isolated, I canceled and got refund. Nice we have webcams to watch
  16. true and I am amazed at just how many ships they have done over the last 8 months, watch their video on Disney ship.
  17. I am baffled as to why you would call out one poster. Seems a bit not nice. BTW I could make a comment about your pages of long photos dumps, but I won't. Just less is better sometimes.
  18. cute photo. BTW I do not see anything wrong with your posting this. I mean others talk about health, ports and ships they have been on and food photos etc. It takes a while to be accepted on cc sometimes and this thread has different tone at times. And BTW, thanks for NOT doing a large photo dump of many repeating photos. Get my drift.
  19. well I could make a plate taking things from her plate and yours. Your wife has a very nice smile.
  20. I did but then I got over it and came back well sorta. RCI has a thread similar called "how was your lockdown" but it is not a daily just one long 2000 pages of thread and quite a hoot at times.
  21. yea but Carnival is the butt of a lot of jokes. I sail on RCI and other but I also tells folks the newest Carnival ships are wonderful. I do not like it when on a RCI ship the cruise director makes fun of a smaller Carnival ship that might have been in port or just in general. Bad taste I say.
  22. Enjoy your cruise. You have twice so far been in the same port as Wonder of the Seas.
