Oceansaway17 replied to DaveOKC's topic in Holland America Line

Can you no longer book shows on the Allure?
Oceansaway17 replied to Jj343434jj's topic in Royal Caribbean International
well someone on the staff said they got food poisoning in Cozumel. I was suspicious since food poisoning usually fine after 3-4 days. and some of the other rumors were throat issues and dancers quit. I mean the CD should have just told us. Very sneaky but then an usher in theatre told me CD falls under the Hotel Director division. oh well. makes 2 big shows I did not get to see this year, Mamma Mia, and Hairspray. Only only left will be Cats in Oct and ain't I lucky -
Walgreens starting to charge for Travel COVID tests
Oceansaway17 replied to molly361's topic in Royal Caribbean International
well it was great while it lasted. wondering why Walgreens won't wait until July 14th to start charging? and yes the damn testing needs to stop since we all can fly on planes with no vaccine requirement and masks. -
Can you no longer book shows on the Allure?
Oceansaway17 replied to Jj343434jj's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I was on June 11-19 and whilst I had reservations for mostly all the shows except Mamma Mia which was not playing that week due to cast mystery illness, most of the other shows the stand by line was good enough. Towards the end of cruise they even stopped checking for times. BUT, still make a reservation for comedy club even though they do a show in the theater at the end as well. One can stand at the back of the Aqua show and also enjoy as well. -
What's up with Serenade - Europe 2023
Oceansaway17 replied to Ourusualbeach's topic in Royal Caribbean International
yes I am looking forward to it. Spent 7 days in Norway in 2018 but did not get to Oslo. Was supposed to do Norway this year on new HAL ship that would overnight in Oslo, but given isolation possibilities I removed all European cruises this year. looking forward to 3 next year 1 on RCI, and 2 on NCL. Glad I got my Canary Islands on Celebrity in Nov. 2019. was really nice trip -
What happens if you test positive at the port
Oceansaway17 replied to Unlvswezel's topic in Holland America Line
well the takeaway is you are not just set free but you are put into isolation. So testing at the port was always a risk and that is why I waited for non testing at port to change. -

might still be setting schedules for 2023. every day is a different experience with RCI website just like weather. Keep trying. Or call I was looking forward to trying Voyager as I did Serenade in 2018. oh well I still like the fact that they kept the interesting 7 day itinerary which is 2 days Denmark and 3 days Norway inc overnight in Oslo. Very unique for Copehagen port -

try going on a HAL ship. I would not expect to hear this very often. -

Will Royal expand the Portside BBQ to more ships?
Oceansaway17 replied to codeyell0's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I wish El Loco Fresh would be on every ship. As for Johnny Rockets, they have the worst vanilla shakes and really greasy burgers. But breakfast sandwich for free were great. Loved the Wipeout Cafe on Allure a lot. I also wish more ships would have Jamie Olivers. Mason Jar food was meh and just okay. The band was good though. nice and cozy place to stop by for a half hour or so -
Favorite Royal Class And Ship

great attitude. But surely you must have one ship that you really loved. Song of America was supposed to have been really great in her day. I did Sovereign back in here first year. -

Serenade is switching out with Voyager for some cruises. My May 21st out of Copenhagen will now be Serenade. Perhaps they are still assigning and switching passengers still. -
with lots to do on Oasis class ships, you will find a few evenings eating in the Windjammer to be fast and good. Plus you get a view of the water. Ice show setting on the sides is also good as I tried it and liked the angle and felt closer to the skaters if in the first 5 rows. the Aqua theatre you can always stand in the back. Do not overlook getting breakfast at Park Cafe or solarium. A nice break from the WJ. I have been on Symphony and Allure and Wonder since early April. Lots of walk in availability for most shows, but the comedy show in the small club you should get reservations. However, each cruise will also do the adult show most likely on the last day in big theatre. I would make sure to get off on Labadee as I hear it is nice again. Sorry you are not going to coco Cay.
