  1. We did a cruise in September to the Arctic and never saw blankets available to checkout, and on our balcony we just wore our coats and used a pool towel to cover our legs if we needed it.
  2. We have an annual policy from Allianz. Covers medical, emergency transportation, and lots of other things.
  3. I say this to my husband all the time when I have requests that he thinks will get a “no” response…..and I always say to him, I doesn’t hurt to ask and worst they can say is no. To the OP, glad your daughter is ok, that’s really all that’s important in this situation..
  4. In response se of your second question, the chat feature in the Royal app doesn’t give us notifications on our iPhone 13 Pro Max. And we have our settings set to allow them.
  5. Last year they had their Black Friday deals by Nov 18 (I think)
  6. I was interested in what type of dresses you get. The material must not be cotton, I would think that would be too hard to wash in the sink. So where do you buy your dresses?
  7. Look at the bottom of your set sail pass and the last 4 digits should be your room number. Not sure how it works for guarantee rooms, but it does for all other rooms
  8. I had the exact same problem with one of our cruises. I had multiple cruises in the app, and only one didn’t say “My Cruise” but it was correct on my husbands phone. So I couldn’t see any of our excursions or anything. I tried all the things that others have mentioned above plus I called and spoke to someone in royals IT dept who said they would fix it, and nothing worked until my TA contacted Royal. I don’t know what they did but it worked. Have your TA contact Royal.
  9. You will have a better result (hopefully) if you contact the special needs as mentioned above
  10. I’m curious where you get day dresses that you can wash in the sink! Can you share where you get them?
  11. We also bring just carryons and backpack. And this is what we do too with the laundry. The important part is to bring clothing that can easily be washed in the room that you don’t want to put in the laundry. we both have plenty of shirts that I always wash in the room and hang on hangers from the ceiling with the magnetic hooks I bring.
  12. There weren’t that many people cruising yet and the ships were only about 30% full, at least the ones we cruised were..It was very easy to get into an empty elevator the majority of the time. I don’t think they gave it enough time to see if the smokers would stay away or not. Like I said in my precious post, smoking and gambling are both addictive….. Im gambling that the smokers would not stay away 😁
  13. From what I’ve read, smoking like gambling along with other things, are types of addictions. knowing that smoking is unfortunately clearly an addiction, I wonder if more smokers gamble than non-smokers? If so, then it makes sense that Royal keeps the casino a smoking venue, since maybe they may gamble more than non-smokers. But as long as they allow smoking, we won’t be gambling as you suggested. I just wish they had doors on the casino to keep the smoke inside.
  14. And I’ve done that many times, which is why we don’t need to check luggage on planes 😉
  15. There are those here that are already into retirement, also made a good salary, also saved >10% in their 401Ks, may have lived frugally while the kids were growing up, are done paying for college, etc that now look at how much retirement they have, including SSA, and may say to themselves that they worked hard all their life and now want to splurge a bit and enjoy it. Youre on the right track to be one of those people one day and you’ll be splurging too 😁
  16. They’re supposed to be putting in laundry facilities on Serenade for the World cruise, but who knows if they will be a permanent addition to that ship.
  17. That could be true because we get up very early and when in the Diamond Lounge on those ships that have a view of the pool, we can see the hot tub perfectly and it’s covered by the netting and full of water. Now it’s possible they drained it at night and refilled and turned on the heaters, but people are in it when it’s not even light yet.
  18. And also will eat it cold from the fridge the next day too…..we’ll, I do anyway 😇
  19. On our transatlantic on Odyssey this upcoming October, Royal rearranged the ports, dropping some and adding two with the reason of “refueling “. I don’t understand, but we have no choice, so excursions were cancelled, others were added
  20. Nope, because we’ve seen him on Odyssey
  21. You couldn’t pay me enough to go in those hot tubs ……
  22. Years ago when we were at the Disney Aulani Resort in Hawaii, they had a simple way of handling chair hogs. Every hour an attendant would stop at every unoccupied lounger and fold the towel and place it on the top of the chair. When they came back in an hour, if the towel was still there, the items were removed and brought to the towel station. Usually it only took one time of having their items removed (1 shoe, hat, sunglasses, unused towel, etc) for people to stop hogging the chairs.
