  1. Not sure about others, but I love to cruise because along with the vacation pluses such as I don’t have to cook or clean… I LOVE THE OCEAN. I grew up living near the Atlantic and we were at the beach as much as we could be. When on a ship, you won’t find me by the pool, I’ll be on my balcony listening to and watching the waves. The ocean is so powerful and beautiful, and it makes its own music. When we cruise I’m NOT happy when one of our stops ISN’T CC or Labadee, where you’ll find me with my toes in the sand. But of course I also love the fact that I can see the other parts of the world from my traveling hotel on the water too 😉
  2. I’ll admit I haven’t read all the comments on this thread yet. To the OP, I think you received your answer to the when to tip question on a B2B. 1. Regarding Pins and the “pin”, we know or have met Pins and were told that they were asked to wear them I think they said by Royal, as a form of advertisement. So people may ask questions to them, in the hopes that they will also want to reach that status. 2. We have friends that used their D+ status to complain in such ways, that WE felt we needed to apologize to the LA or MDR servers on the aside because of their behavior. But they have also had that same behavior outside of ships in everyday life. So we have made the choice to no longer travel or socialize with them. Entitled behavior - like a virus - goes well beyond cruise ships, and takes many forms.
  3. maybe I’m optimistic but I think that if they can figure out how to do that, they’re not dopes.
  4. When I board each ship my first drink is the Lavender Daiquiri. I usually would never like a foo foo drink, but for some reason I like this drink.
  5. I’m not a booze drinker, I usually have wine, but I agree with you on this drink….
  6. Each night in the MDR there’s a Vegan “dinner” on the menu, an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. There’s nothing labeled “Vegetarian”. There are entrees that are vegetarian on the menu if you just take off the meat though. I’m not either, but eat mostly vegetarian. I don’t mind vegan, but I’m Just not fond of the choices on the menu most nights. The soups have been good though. I don’t eat dessert, so I can’t comment on that.
  7. We’re not up in arms, we actually like it better having it done only once in the evening. And we still tip same as we did when it was once a day.
  8. On our last cruise our cabin attendant asked if we wanted service morning or evening . We picked evening and he thanked us because so many of his 25 cabins wanted mornings. After we got ready for drinks before dinner we just put the out catching thrills on the door. I agree that they are overwhelmed, we hardly ever saw ours, and even though I asked for NO towel animals, he did anyway. I felt bad, he was so busy. He got a good tip from us!
  9. are you saying there was a bar set up in the DL on Jewel? On one cruise on Brilliance years ago they had a bar setup in the DL, it was so much quicker to get a drink, of course it was only the unlimited HH drinks back then. I wouldn’t bet on it. It’s so bad up there the crew put towels down on all loungers every day we were up there. No one would sit on the seats. Such a shame they’re ruined.
  10. We don’t book many excursions, and never do on short cruises, for us usually these are out of a Florida and we’ve been to them all. On European cruises we will book some, but not at every port.
  11. Radiance class is still our favorite. So far this year we’ve been on Jewel, Serenade and Brilliance…will be on Radiance for our NYE cruise B2B
  12. OMG I should have been able to figure that out…. I guess it’s early. Thanks!
  13. We always try to book well in advance, prices always seem to go up on the cruises we take. If you think you may cancel in the future, you can book a refundable deposit.
  14. I thought the wifi on Voyager was worse than on other ships, including all the Radiance class ships. The only way I got even the tiniest signal was when I was in the promenade.
  15. We’ve also used the shoe in the door trick to get a better signal. Forget about trying it on the balcony. Last cruise wifi was so bad, the VOOM guy turned off something on my IPhone that helped, but he didn’t show me what he did. Thanks for posting that picture!
  16. If you want a great view of the bridge, go out on the top deck in the front of the ship.
  17. Than that’s not the one I have…..oops again
  18. Did you book the airfares from Air2Sea since it’s from two different airports?
  19. We have the same questions, we’re already looking into in in the ports of call threads. I’m curious where you can see royal hotels to book? Which cruise are you on?
  20. Ive tried to tell DH that if we just stayed there and did the reverse TA later we would save so much money. He doesn’t buy that theory though .😁
  21. Oops, I meant converter, not surge protector….thanks for picking that up…it’s still early 😁
  22. They provide the cord and distilled water. You can email them before you sail or just ask cabin steward
  23. This is what we bought and everything plugs into it with either a USB or plug. It’s small and we’ve not only used it on ships, but everywhere we’ve been in Europe. In the past we’ve had a couple of devices burn out when we plugged into European outlets so we bought this with a surge protector https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E140XWA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
  24. I’ll just be happy I get the email to be able to do the quizzes…. But as long as people let us k w here, with a link, I’ll be good. I haven’t gotten one this month though?
