  1. I was never charged inside the YC proper...I was discouraged from ordering a particular brand of Gin (Botanist) in one of the bars outside of YC...I think it technically was chargeable....I was served anyways..left him a nice cash tip. This was on the Seaside this past September.
  2. Yes you can keep them..yes I think they will charge you. I don't know how much, I didn't keep mine. 🙂. At least that's the way it was my last 2 cruises..both in balcony YC cabins. Not sure if they care about the slippers or not...they aren't all that...I have much nicer house shoes at home. Robes too for that matter.
  3. I know what makes Champagne Champagne..but I didn't realize that Prosecco and sparkling wine were different..I always thought Prosecco was sparkling wine. Shows what I know.
  4. I think you will enjoy it..I enjoy both…agree on the Martini Bar comment above. Overall I prefer the entire ship on Celebrity, but the YC is a step above.
  5. I have never been on a cruise ship that I thought was too cold… most are not cool enough..I notice it when I return home, and I live in the South. AC at home on 70 most of the time for me..cruise cabins always feel warm to me..travel fans help
  6. Just one charge..they don’t charge for the booze and the mixer…honestly, I’ve never heard of anyone doing that.
  7. Agree on all of that, real hand towels in the mens room is a nice touch too…
  8. I’m guessing it has always been Proseco, and try the Coffee bar area upon boarding. I always cruise with a drink package, so it’s not really something I miss..
  9. If it sounded too good to be true, it probably was. But yes, to answer your question, I have heard of obvious fare mistakes not being honored.
  10. I'm not cleaning out the drain..period. The toilet missing the little bumper on the lid, I probably wouldn't have noticed. I would have asked them to take a look at the other issues... That said, I don't take the time to wipe things down myself. I'm just not that worried.
  11. I usually wear clothing and shoes when inside on the ship. 🙂 How about these shoes?
  12. That was my point exactly. Maybe my comments were out of line, I apologize if so. I meant no offense.
  13. I grew up in the Southern US, I honestly don’t remember anything like I’ve read in the last 10-15 years of the different allergies, etc…not trying to troll. Y’all carry on, I suppose everyone I ever knew is just lucky not to have issues. I get some of the religious preferences…my Grandmother would not eat lamb because it had cloven feet..I do remember that. I have also read that all the additives we have been putting in our food the last 20 or so years have taken a toll on immune systems etc..
  14. Well said, growing up in the South..this is what I experienced too....
  15. As a child of the 60’s, I don’t remember all these ailments, conditions or special food demands..were they around? I know my Schools certainly didn’t have special dishes growing up.
  16. Wife and I were on Seaside just over 2 weeks ago, 7 night cruise, we were first offered Absolut, I told our Buster to forget that…next morning the Goose showed up..it was a liter for sure..we polished it off at my home Saturday..we drove to port, so easy to transport. We were in a regular YC Balcony cabin.
  17. Ask your Butler what you can get…we had a Liter of Grey Goose recently.
  18. Correct, talk to the Concierge in the hall to see about reserving one.
