  1. Thank you all for the help. I think we will rent a cabana. I’m a little concerned about my aunt and mom getting too much sun.
  2. There’s a service room button you can select on that screen too
  3. I think even if you can’t get it open on your phone they can still bring you up in their computer pretty quickly
  4. Just a thought, it sounds like maybe you didn’t select your embarkation time yet. It becomes available to select around 59-29 days before the cruise. You go into the medallion app and go to travel check list. Then personal information and documentation. Then scroll down to arrival and departure times
  5. I had a QR code I could access probably starting the day before the cruise. Maybe you have to do the health questions before it shows up.
  6. On the medallion app, scroll down to travel companions and add your aunt. You will need her booking number. Once your reservation is linked with hers, go to your dining reservations and press edit. Then select her to add her to the dining reservation
  7. It seems like this beach does not have a sidewalk, but I’m not sure. So I’m thinking finding a spot near the pool is the way to go. Does anyone know what it costs to rent an umbrella from margaritaville? Anyone have any suggestions for this port? Thank you.
  8. The medallion is the little disk they give you that acts like your key card. Dryer sheets help prevent static cling if you are using an electric dryer. Every shower has a clothes line. When I need the shower I just hang things on hangers and put them in the closet. The closets are huge.
  9. The laundry situation is pretty straight forward. There is a laundry room on each deck. Each laundry room has maybe 6 washers and 6 dryers. There is a machine on the wall and you wave your medallion in front of it and it asks you how many tokens you want. Wash or dry is $3 and laundry soap and dryer sheets are $1.50. I bring laundry pods and dryer sheets from home. The washers and dryers all have a timer on them so you know exactly how long it will take. I usually set the timer on my phone 5 minutes early so I can get back before the cycle ends. There are also a bunch of ironing boards and irons and they are all free.
  10. 1. In the app, under preferences you can request a paper patter. I think they’re trying to go fully digital. On my last cruise, even the people in our group who did not request a paper patter still received one but I’m not sure if that always happens 2. I think so 3. If you’re interested in specialty dining, go ahead and book it 4. yes towels are easily found near the pools 5. yes, both sockets. I don’t bring a straightener but my curling iron has worked fine 6. I honestly don’t mind the hairdryer 7. you will have two formal nights on a seven day cruise
  11. I like to give us 2 hours for dinner. I think you have a good plan.
  12. Yes. It’s right beside Good Spirits and whenever there was something they didn’t have at International Cafe, they would scoot over there. I only ordered orange juice and water but I’m sure if you wanted a shot they can get it for you
  13. Surge protectors are prohibited. How I understand it is that cruise ships are not grounded, like a house, so if there is a surge of electricity it can cause a fire. There are power strips that don’t have surge protection and those are fine. If you’re on Amazon search for cruise power strip. I have a nice one with USB ports that cost around $20. You are allowed to bring an extension cord or you can borrow on onboard. I tend to think it’s a good idea to reach out to princess access office just to give them a heads up about any special needs you might have. Their email is accessofficeprincess@princesscruises.com I know I reached out to let them know my aunt will have a rollator and to arrange a wheelchair embarkation, just to make it a little easier on her.
  14. Yes. So in the app, you can make your dining reservations. Or you could even just turn up when you want to eat.
  15. I should mention that room service is also included. There are a couple items that have a fee but the app will tell you. And you don’t necessarily have to have it delivered to your room. They can bring it to you wherever you are
  16. Alfredo’s pizza is also included. It looks a little fancy so sometimes people think it costs extra
  17. My husband and I cruised with our adult daughter and it was just fine. She’s 22 and brought way too many clothes and filled up every drawer. And she complained about how loudly my husband snores. But other than that, we didn’t suffer any annoyances.
  18. I think they recommend no bathing suits. These venues are all pretty casual. If you have a swimsuit cover and aren’t dripping water everywhere you’re probably fine.
  19. I’ve seen this ad. There’s one I see on Facebook with a Priyanka Chopra look alike showing you all the Instagram worthy moments of a princess cruise. Princess cruises on TikTok is clearly trying to appeal to a younger crowd too.
  20. I was on the regal 80s cruise everyone is talking about too. It had a little bit of the 80s but not over the top. There was a bonjovi cover band one night. And there was an 80s deck party. We dressed up for that (leg warmers etc). There were some 80s themed trivia games in princess live. And there was an 80s dj dance party in one of the lounges.
  21. I booked a group for my family and once we hit 10 rooms we will get our room for 50% off.
  22. I went to their website and read about the antigen test. It’s proctored which makes it appropriate for princess.
