That's just not feasible or sustainable.

You don't. It is most likely a value entered in a comment field on the booking by a booking agent and easily ignored or missed by humans. In other words, it's not true/false condition that a computer can evaluate for and remove from dataset when they run whatever optimization program it is that they run which causes these sorts of "upgrades". Sometimes people just repeat whatever they hear.

Another member of the L107 club here -- Royal Princess. Love, love, love this cabin. The wind while underway is the real deal, but can be mitigated by wind and sea conditions combined with the ship's heading. If you're sailing 20 knots into a 20 knot headwind, yeah, not enjoyable out there. But if you've got the wind at your stern and the weather is nice, you can absolutely enjoy the balcony while underway. The easy access to everything on Deck 16 is wonderful. Less time in elevators, more time enjoying the ship and sea.

Just did a booking for a 5-day California coastal out of SF coming up in April. I expected $200 OBC, but then I noticed the "Casino Core" $100 OBC, with a total of $300 OBC on the booking. What is the $100 OBC Casino Core?

Recent trip on the Royal... last group (Green 7) was 9:25 am. They actually called it and threw everyone off at 9:10. Out of cabins at 8:30. 11:00 am is not happening.

If you're booking direct with Princess, they are not simply going to charge whatever card you used for the deposit. That does not happen and has never happen. I don't know what other lines do, but Princess does not do that. Neither does NCL, fwiw.

Agree with the others. The step up height into the bathroom is closer to 3 inches. Someone has been lying to someone else about what 8 inches looks like for a long time...

This is entirely dependent on the sea and wind conditions combined with the ship's heading. If the ship is pushing 20 knots into a 20 knot headwind on a northerly heading off the coast of California, the forward balconies are simply not usable. I mean, you can go out there and duck a lounger under the forward bulkhead, but you're not hosting a get-together in those conditions.

I appreciate the response. None of those look like the shiny bulbous green-tit menagerie I just saw. They come close, but not quite right. I stupidly failed to take a pic of it.
