Just did a booking for a 5-day California coastal out of SF coming up in April. I expected $200 OBC, but then I noticed the "Casino Core" $100 OBC, with a total of $300 OBC on the booking. What is the $100 OBC Casino Core?

Recent trip on the Royal... last group (Green 7) was 9:25 am. They actually called it and threw everyone off at 9:10. Out of cabins at 8:30. 11:00 am is not happening. -
A lot of us eat early. Then we eat again a little later on. Then midnight room service.

Have all your travel docs with you when you arrive, check in as you have done in the past. They will give you medallions at the terminal.

Wow. Thanks for the citation. It still doesn't read like an official statement. Something is wrong there. No way any corporate statement would lead off with blaming the customer.

If you're booking direct with Princess, they are not simply going to charge whatever card you used for the deposit. That does not happen and has never happen. I don't know what other lines do, but Princess does not do that. Neither does NCL, fwiw.- 66 replies

Agree with the others. The step up height into the bathroom is closer to 3 inches. Someone has been lying to someone else about what 8 inches looks like for a long time...

This is entirely dependent on the sea and wind conditions combined with the ship's heading. If the ship is pushing 20 knots into a 20 knot headwind on a northerly heading off the coast of California, the forward balconies are simply not usable. I mean, you can go out there and duck a lounger under the forward bulkhead, but you're not hosting a get-together in those conditions.

I appreciate the response. None of those look like the shiny bulbous green-tit menagerie I just saw. They come close, but not quite right. I stupidly failed to take a pic of it. It was absurd in its shape and sweet to the point that S&H went out of business. It was a large shiny green dome of sweet horror. On the Royal. This week.

The last time I did laundry, the laundry room sold the little single pack cardboard Tide detergent (and others) like you'd buy in the vending machines at a laundromat. Any household detergent you'd bring will be fine. There is nothing special about the washers.

Choose a Glacier Bay itinerary. Do at least a day before and day after. Do not try to "do everything" -- once is not enough for Alaska. I've done 7 and have not seen it all (from the cruise perspective).
