  1. We did Odyssey with our 6 kids (4 teenagers) this June. They had a fantastic time! There were plenty of other kids to meet and have fun with. The main difference is that there will be more Europeans than you would find in the Caribbean. The teens liked hanging out in the dedicated teen lounge/sundeck and met other teens from all over. Now they email friends in Malta and Norway that they met on the ship. Odyssey also has the flowrider, climbing wall and iFly to keep them busy. They also liked zone zero, but book it as soon as possible because slots filled fast (new slots opened later in the week). The ports have great places to see that are very different from the Caribbean. I would definitely plan on spending a few days in Rome before the cruise if you are able. We enjoyed our time there as much as we did the cruise. There is so much to see and we never had a bad meal! I wouldn't hesitate to take them.
  2. On the ship Travelpass does not work. On ship Verizon pricing is pay as you go for voice at $2.99/minute, $0.50 per outgoing text, $0.05 for inbound text and $20 for 50 MB of data. In ports, you could use Travelpass if in one of the included countries.
  3. For our sailing that ended July 4 self assist was allowed off at 6:30. We left the port area with a private transfer a little after 7 and made our 11:30 flight with plenty of time. But the line for our airline for check-in was pretty short. Other airlines were extremely long. You also have to go through lines for security and passport control. Ours went pretty smoothly, but lines can be pretty variable.

  5. When we did our eMed tests in June the lab report had the time in UTC. I think they use your place of residence to know where to report a positive test when required by health departments. We used our home as place of residence and I think they also might have asked for our location when testing. The lab report definitely only had the date and time of the test in UTC.
  6. Might have been Sun Viking. It was sailing out of San Juan in the early 90's
  7. Sunset in Santorini was definitely one of the highlights of our Odyssey cruise as well. Hearing about your tender experience makes me glad we bought the Key. We walked down the donkey trail after sunset. Took a little while, but avoided the lines, and there were great views of Odyssey lit up in the bay on the way down. All the other ships in port sailed before sunset, and not all Odyssey sailings stay late. If you find one that does, seeing the sunset up there is totally worth it, even if you have to wait in line to get the tram back down.
  8. Was on Odyssey end of June. Cruise was fantastic! I didn't notice any evidence of staff shortages and the food and entertainment was great. (other than volume in main theater being too loud) Ship was probably about 75% capacity.
  9. El Loco Fresh, Solarium Bistro, Sorrento's, Cafe 270 and Windjammer included in your cruise fare. Giovanni's and Playmakers for extra charge. Costal Kitchen for those in suites. Main Dining Room Chops Grill Menu for The Key
  10. When we had Key on Odyssey in Santorini, they had 2 times for the Key passengers to meet in one of the lounges to be escorted to the tender for the priority tendering. They got started with tendering earlier then scheduled, so they were calling ticket #6 by the time we left for the tenders. No priority for tendering back to the ship, but people usually space out returning to the ship so lines are shorter.
  11. Suite lounge is on opposite side and also has outdoor seating according to a video tour I watched
  12. iFly was the first available times in the morning, 9AM if I remember correctly. The North Star was in the afternoon around 3:45. There were specific iFly and North Star times blocked for the Key, you didn't get to pick any time, but they were on the sea days which are usually an extra charge.
  13. I had the Key for our family on a recent Odyssey sailing and I thought it was worth it. I don't like waiting in lines or having to get to shows super early so that was worth something to me. We were sent at boarding to a special area and had no waiting at all to check in. At the Key lunch we had great food in the dinning room with great service. The other nice benefit was having a crew member at the embarkation lunch to book complimentary times for iFly and North Star - both during sea days that normally would have been an extra charge. I also liked being able to show up closer to show time for the shows and get decent seats. Some of these benefits overlap with suite benefits, so they may not be as valuable if you are in a suite. For us it was worth it.
  14. Air2Sea booked us an 11:30 from Rome. Self assist was allowed off at 6:30. We left the port area with a private transfer a little after 7 and made it in plenty of time. But the line for our airline for check-in was pretty short. Other airlines were extremely long. You also have to go through lines for security and passport control. Ours went pretty smoothly. With one hour less it could be pretty tight or impossible, especially if any of the above lines are long. Also be aware that any private transportation has to be pre-approved to get through security and into the cruise terminal area, so make sure whatever private transport you book can get in to pick you up. If you risk the early flight I would recommend having a back up plan.
  15. It was at 8 PM last week, then teens arcade night at 9 PM. Must of been my kids in the gangs, but I only brought 7.
  16. Was on Odyssey last week and they had the sound up so loud in the main theater for both of the shows that I went to that it washed out a lot of the tone in the singers' voices. Not to mention being uncomfortable and bad for the audience's hearing.
  17. If the stock is held in a joint account and the shareholders are in separate cabins you can get a credit for each cabin if you have at least 200 shares.
  18. Air2Sea will let you pick your flights from the options they have available. So until the airline starts changing their flight schedules (which happens a lot if you book far in advance), you can pick the schedule.
