  1. Good morning!  Thanks for all of the info and pictures.  Prayers for those that need them, and cheers for celebrations!  Hoping everyone on a cruise, or getting ready for one has a great and safe time!  I'm part of our church quilting group.  We make quilts for our homebound people, baptisms and other charities.  I'm getting quilts ready for the homebound people.  16 people were added to the list this year.  I'm also in a group of basket weavers - we make christmas baskets and fill them with goodies for Nursing Home residents in the area...my "community service!"  We're taking 2 grands shopping today, the 7 year old is choosing her birthday present!  Then lunch somewhere, another fun day with them.  Have a great day, Karen

  2. Hello everyone, hugs to all who need them, and cheers to everyone celebrating birthdays and other happy events.  The last 2 weeks have had lots of information overload here.  The Waukesha Christmas Parade massacre trial has been going on.  We were at the parade and our granddaughter was in the parade with her dance team.  They were early in the parade and the killing started about 1/2 way through the parade.  We were leaving just as the guy started driving his car through the route.  (about a block from where we were.)  We didn't hear about it until we got home, but our daughter did see a police officer running towards the parade route.   You can't turn on the news without hearing about trial details here...it's very upsetting to hear those details...

I'm in a church group that takes meals to those who need them.  Meatloaf has become my "go-to" meal...I figure it's family/kid friendly, and who doesn't like meat loaf? 😉

This thread can help with some of the bad things we are dealing with.  Everyone is so helpful and caring!  Have a great rest of your day.  Karen

  3. Good morning all, the flautas look delicious!  We spent many winter vacations in Cozumel, and Mexican food is a favorite.  We have a Taco Truck that visits our area every week, it's a favorite for Thursday dinner!  In 2019 we discovered cruising when we went to Alaska on HAL's Westerdam.   SInce then, we've been doing a cruise instead of the Mexico trips.  This February we stopped in Belize.  We tendered to shore, but only walked around the port area.  We weren't ready to get on any tour buses with Covid still being so prevalent.  I don't really have any pictures from there.  @smitty34877prayers that things look up for you soon, caregiving is a stressful job for sure.  @dfish any word on the new home?  Hoping all goes well with that also!  Prayers for all that need them, and best wishes to all on the shout out list.  Karen

  4. I'm interested in Aruba and Curacao ideas!  When we stopped at Amber Cove, we made that a beach day...sat and relaxed.  Half Moon Key has also been a beach day!  The lunch there is very good.  We have done lots of walking there.  The beach is great to walk.  This year we're doing a 10 day cruise that includes a partial Panama Canal transit!
