I kind of think it’s sad that this is a good deal …which it is….that is around the price I paid for sky suites for the last three Edge cruises since the restart…two seven nights in the Caribbean one in Greece and for one coming up in December on the Apex… we love sailing in the retreat especially on Edge class ships but the prices are getting a bit high….

  5. I wish they had this menu on the Edge class ships…I am not thrilled with the choices on their menu and when I asked for something not on the menu the server told me no…
  6. I know how you are feeling…I am onyx as well and have a 4 cruises booked in the next year…I call blue chip and the best offer I had was a discount on a veranda only until March of next year…with no ability to upgrade to Aqua or retreat
  7. OP …we had self service on the Summit (pre Covid) and Edge (post Covid) both US departures. It was the 9/8 sailing on the Edge out of Rome that there was no self service. Servers were quite busy so my husband asked why there was not self service beer and wine like we had on the last two Edge cruisers. It took quite awhile to get drinks and he thought it was much easier before. Any recent cruisers…what has your experience been.
  8. When I was on the Edge this summer there was no self serve beer or wine in the retreat lounge. In my prior cruises on the Summit (pre -COVID) and the Edge two other sailings since the restart that was always available. When we enquired we were told that it is was due to underage passengers taking these items. Just curious if this was a fleet wide policy or it is still available self serve on other ships.
  9. My invoice shows the higher OBC number…I feel if that is the case I kind of believe they should be sending out updated invoices with the lower OBC and apologizing for their error instead of sending out emails asking for money in two days or your plans will be canceled…
  10. Just got two more emails from Celebrity… now it seems they want me to pay more than the amount I should owe…like they wiped out all of my OBC….this is getting ridiculous. I am a fairly new Celebrity cruiser….but I have truly loved the onboard Retreat experience and it has become my go to line became Elite recently …as my daughter was growing up we sailed mostly Disney …18 of them all through Europe, the Caribbean and Alaska. Disney IT is not good but I never ran into these types of errors that diminish the guest experience…maybe I was lucky. There has been a lot of technical/IT issues including flights by Celebrity, no luggage tags, not being able to pay off my cruise due to a invalid TA number in their system, charge on my account that they couldn’t tell me what it was. I guess if I like the onboard experience I need to expect these inconveniences…but I would think they would do better in getting their act together. A simple email explaining what happened instead of getting random emails with varied amounts to pay would of done a world of good. I would cancel some of my dining and excursions…but some I want to keep especially the ones that were bought at discounts…

  12. I can understand that there was an error or IT glitch but they could of sent an email explaining what happened, not just saying there was a change in your reservation give us almost $800 in three days or your excursions will be cancelled.
  13. It goes back beyond that..it was showing in my account right after I booked it while I was on the Edge on the 9/3 cruise.
  14. When I booked the excursions there was OBC in my account to cover it. I guess now I just have to figure out which ones we will keep and which ones we will do private.

Yes…I spent the OBC that was in my account on excursions and specialty dining and then today I got this strange e-mail saying due to a change in my reservation I owe money on my account or things will be canceled…they want the money by 10/2…my cruise isn’t until October of 23..I really would rather not lay out the money now..looks like I will be looking at private excursions that I only need deposits for.. I think this was not a good way to handle the situation..the email was so unclear..and since it was their error they maybe could of given a more generous date especially since the cruise is over a year away.

  20. That sounds exactly where I am currently…which date are you sailing …I am on the 10/6/23 cruise…i haven’t checked out the roll call yet…I just booked it when I was on the Edge 9/3 Greece cruise…very excited…will be on the Apex 12/3 as well for the first time
  21. We are booked next year on this cruise..trying to figure out what to do….whether private for overnight..overnight with Celebrity or just for the highlights into one day.

  23. I debarked the Edge on 9/10 after an amazing 7 night cruise through Greece and Italy. While waiting for my flight soon after we left the ship we got the email with the final bill. Under my husband’s name their was a charge for $274.50 under amenities posted on 9/10 that we had no idea what it was. The funny thing was I had checked my account on the Ap at breakfast and it was -.66 cents… They then said it would take a couple of days for the info from the ship to get shoreside. After hour long holds on Wednesday and Thursday one associate said it was a charge for the theater tour we were invited to as elite …I can’t believe that to be true..I thought they were free and I would never pay that. I then told them we have disputed the charge since our payment was due. He basically hung up on me then or I hope to think we were disconnected..I called back and the next associate said that they can’t talk to me about it since I disputed the charge… So strange…anyone else ever have mystery charges appear?
  24. Just got off my third Edge cruise since the restart in a sky suite. I love the ship. Heading on the Apex in December and just booked on board an October Apex sailing going to Egypt, Israel and Turkey…can’t wait…
