  1. Our first cruise was on the HAL Rotterdam. We took our younger kids at the time. Did they enjoy the cruise? Of course they did. Did they enjoy it as much as they would have on an RCL ship? No way. Water slides, bumper cars, skydiving, zip lines, miniature golf, surfing, better entertainment, more teens on board. RCL is built for families with kids and teenagers.
  2. You can get the Rolex for $10 in Manhattan. Never did stop to take a look.
  3. It sounds like some things have changed on Edge for the good. The Eden actors were very talented but did not have a coherent show. They had some good AGT talent, but whoever designed the show/act did not design a good show. For our early cruise the show was very "cheesy" and sophomoric.
  4. 🙂 Add 2.01 ounces 🙂 I have noticed that Southwest will let you run about a pound over. Or at least they did for me on several occasions.
  5. I have not been on one, but from the pictures the view looks a bit obscured by the porthole.
  6. Just an open/close window. When the window is open the AC is off. With a true balcony my DW can sit inside in the AC and I can sit outside on the balcony. There are two separate areas on a true balcony and effectively one area on a IV.
  7. Open and close your windows at home. See if that fits your idea of a balcony.
  8. Awwww. It was very entertaining to watch those trying to dine on the Magic Carpet due to the winds. Kind of like watching a NASCAR race.
  9. No I think that it is only the French that put Champagne in their hot tubs 🙂
  10. We put a small portable scale in the luggage so that we are right at 49 or 50 lbs.
  11. I book mine as soon as they are available for preferential seating. That is usually about 330 days out. Plus I want to get the shortest flights available with the fewest stops.
  12. With the Princess ship they also tested in the middle of the cruise. I suspect if they were to test everyone getting off of a cruise ship they would find many asymptomatic people just as on Princess. If they were to test at the grocery stores they would find the same.
  13. LOL! This reminds me of running through JFK to catch my next flight overseas. Not something that I would do again, but if the situation warrants perhaps so.
  14. So when does the next Celebrity cruise Asia cruise start? Can we get a review from someone on the cruise?
  15. I can book the excursions. There are not many to book... I would feel more confident if they had the usual large number of choices.
  16. I still have shore excursions, but not very many. Perhaps about 10 total for the whole long cruise. I am on the Dec 2023 Christmas cruise.
  17. So is the Millenium even going over to Asia? I am confused ... Too many cancellations in the schedule before and after my cruise. Or do I just need to wait another month for the cancellations for Millenium in December 2023? I also do not want to wait months on end to book something else. The prices will go up.
  18. Ah yes. But that would probably be too easy and save too much confusion 🙂 🙂🙂
  19. Instead of putting codes on the card, they should put it in plain English which package you have. You should not need the CruiseCritic secret decoder ring.
  20. We received a balcony upgrade after about our 3rd cruise with Celebrity ... We truly enjoyed it and booked a balcony ever since. I don't know if this matters or not, but we probably spent more on ship excursions than we did on the cruise ...
  21. That would be a definite improvement to E class. Are there other ships which they are adding World Class Bar to?
  22. We got charged the $100 change fee for each passenger. We ended up cancelling a cruise that Celebrity was going to cancel anyways. I think that I would still do the NRD, however when Covid was happening and the cruise lines were cancelling and changing itineraries it was a bit of a hassle and a monetary loss. I would definitely do the refundable when travelling in a large group or older family.
