The menus listed in the app won't be correct until the start of your cruise. The menus currently listed are most likely the menu rotation from the current cruise up in New England. If you track the menus they change each different sailing.

I was on Summit in April for a 4 night cruise. They served lobster on day 3 which was our only sea day/Chic night. Most likely, your cruise will be similar.

Yes you only pay the difference plus 20% gratuity on difference. This question has been answered hundreds of times on numerous different threads regarding upgrading the drinks package.

Was the bed closest to the bathroom or was the sitting area adjacent to the bathroom? I'm staying in a neighboring cabin on Beyond in January and was curious.

The most commonly recommended specialty restaurant is Eden, reserve online now, if you wait until you get onboard, there may not be any decent times available. Le Petite Chef and Family has an animated show that projects on your table. Most frequent comment about it is that it's amusing once but no need to go back again. Fine Cut gets mixed reviews, primary complaint is the noise from the Grand Atrium. Raw on Five is a sushi and raw bar. Search the threads if that is something that would interest you. Don't forget to try Le Grand Bistro for lunch if the $30 service charge doesn't bother you. You can also try Rooftop Garden Grill. How you split the nights between Blu and specialty restaurants really depend on your interests.

It depends on the itinerary but it usually is 7pm and 9pm or 7:30pm and 9:30pm. You won't know for sure until you are aboard the ship but look in the app at a cruise with the same itinerary as yours but with an earlier sail date and you should get a pretty good idea as to the show times. (Also the menu rotation) Don't forget about Caravan which is in The Club. It's usually 6pm and 8pm or 8:30pm and 10:30pm, once again depends of your particular itinerary.

I was also shocked by the price increase on Le Grand Bistro but there is one "Plats du Jour" that sounds like it might be worth it. I embark on a Sunday and the daily special is Dover Sole Meunière. I will combine that with the escargot appetizer, the Lobster bisque and a couple desserts and that combination is a meal I'm willing to play $30 + 20% tip for. There is no way I would pay a $30 up charge for one of the sandwiches or some of the other plat du jours on the menu.

I recently booked Murano using onboard credit(OBC). When it came time to pay for the reservation they showed me the pre-cruise discount price plus 18% gratuity as well as my OBC balance and asked how much OBC credit I wanted to used. I paid for the meal plus tip with OBC, no charge to my credit card.

There will be some crew aboard since Spring of this year doing Mediterranean cruises. Some will rotate off and some new crew will rotate on. Since it's their latest and greatest ship doing its first cruises from Florida I would expect Celebrity wants to make the best first impression they can and will have it adequately staffed. I will be sailing a similar itinerary in January and expect only the best from her.

On some Apex itineraries the Theater show was at 7pm & 9pm, on other itineraries they were at 7:30pm & 9:30pm. You can look in the Celebrity app for an earlier cruise with the same itinerary if there is one. I was tracking Apex cruises for a while until I switched to Beyond. I'm now tracking Beyond entertainment but sometimes the app isn't up to date even on day 1 of the cruise. The only way to know for sure is to wait until you are on the ship.

For solo cruisers I have found the difference in price between Cruise Only and All Included fares runs about $50 per day if the cruise is part of the solo sailor promotion versus about $110 per day for cruise that aren't listed. I booked a 7 night cruise on Beyond that was listed on the solo promotion list and the difference was $352 so I booked All Included. I also have a 6 night cruise in December 2023 that is after the dates offered on the solo promotion and they wanted $679 more for All included so I passed on All Included and booked Cruise Only. Even if I deduct the $93 prepaid gratuity I would have to run up a $586 bar tab in 6 nights to break even. I don't drink enough to justify that so I will just pay as I go. (I don't give any value to the Surf Wifi included with the All Included package since I've found it to be so frustratingly slow as to be nearly unusable.)

I'm not onboard yet but the deck plan shows that the forward elevator bank goes to deck 17.

The current European sailing is running the main shows at 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm. The previous cruise they only ran a 9:00pm show. I think Celebrity schedules the shows based on the port call times. The best thing to do is check if there is the same itinerary as yours at an early time and look at that schedule. For example, my Jan. 22, 2023 itinerary also runs on November 22, 2022 so that week I will pay very close attention to the daily planner in the Celebrity App. That gives a good idea of what time shows are and what the menu rotation will be. There's no guarantee that won't change things for your cruise from a similar previous cruise but that will give you the best idea of what to expect.

Just a heads up on lunch at Le Grand Bistro, the service charge is now $30 plus $6 gratuity per person for lunch (at least on my January 2023 cruise); that seems pretty steep since you already paid for meals with your cruise. Also, I've been following the entertainment calendar on Beyond and I don't think they have Caravan at the Club like they do on Apex unless they just haven't been offering to the last few cruises. They offer three production shows in The Theatre: • Stage Door • Elements • Arte and three production shows in Eden: Wonder at Eden: Paradise Wonder at Eden: Decadence Wonder at Eden: Dreams

Anyone know how much a taxi from Taino Bay terminal to the Teleférico de Puerto Plata (Cable Car) would cost and do the drivers accept USD $? It's only about 1.2 miles from the cruise port to the Cable Car terminal. Also, would we be able to easily find a taxi from there to the Cathedral? I was thinking of exploring on my own, no cruise line excursion.

Thanks for the live report. Do you recall if they offered a multi-course tasting menu in Eden in addition to the à la carte menu? Thank you for posting photo's of the daily planner. The Celebrity app doesn't provide the detail available in the printed copies.

They are offering pre-cruise dining discounts on my Jan. 2023 cruise but when you look at the prices that's because they are raising the regular price on the specialty restaurants. For example, Eden has been $55 on Edge and Apex but they are now pricing it at $60 on Beyond but then offering a pre-cruise price of $54.99. Le Petit Chef is regularly $55 on Apex but is now regularly priced at $60 on Beyond. They will give you an 8% pre cruise discount to bring the price down to $54.99. All the prices don't include the 18% gratuity added to the final price.

Consider yourself lucky, Celebrity raised the service charge to $30 pp on BEYOND. They also changed the entrees available in the Plats du Jour. There were a few daily special on the Apex menu I would have paid $20 for but I see nothing on BEYOND's menu that I'm willing to pay $30 for.

The two latest Mediterranean cruises were only running one show a night at 9:00 pm. That may be related to the port intensive itineraries. You can check for yourself by selecting the current Beyond cruise in the Celebrity app and looking at the daily schedule.
