  1. The link I posted applies, as the title suggests to "Entering or leaving Canada by cruise ship during COVID-19". The conditions have not changed. To board a cruise ship all passengers require a COVID test unless the they had COVID between 10 and 90 days prior. See various cruise line FAQ https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/frequently-asked-questions/us-cruises/ https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/will-i-have-to-take-a-test-before-i-cruise https://www.carnival.com/legal/covid-19-legal-notices/covid-19-guest-protocols https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/worry-free-promise/travel-well/frequently-asked-questions/faq-for-cruises-from-usa.html https://www.celebritycruises.com/ca/health-and-safety

  4. I had similar trouble with registering in ON this time. I concluded that the issue was the bar code and dense QR type code on the back. A very well focused straight on shot with no reflection was necessary. Perhaps the software has to read the code to authenticate.
  5. You need an ArriveCAN submission for the US to Canada flight. I don't think you need a submission for the Vancouver to Whittier cruise. In fact it's not possible to complete a submission if the arrival port is not in Canada.
  6. I've found that on some platforms I need to occasionally refresh the page to update the stream. This is particularly true on my Android tablet in Chrome.
  7. Yes. I don't think you can get an ArriveCAN QR for a cruise that ends outside of Canada. You may need an ArriveCAN QR for entering the Yukon, depends on the itinerary. The tour operator should know. If your flight back to Vancouver is from Alaska an ArriveCAN QR will be needed for the flight.
  8. Presuming a round trip cruise from Vancouver: Primary reason: Canadian citizen etc. (presuming you qualify, otherwise Discretionary etc.) Country of original departure: Canada Port of entry: Vancouver Date of arrival: date of cruise termination Are you travelling on a cruise ship? Yes Is the cruise terminating in Canada? Yes
  9. The Carnival requirement is within 3 days prior to departure for boosted passengers, 2 days for fully vaccinated. See https://www.carnival.com.au/legal/covid-19-legal-notices/covid-19-faqs. Real difference between days and hours.
  10. Perhaps you need to use a different mask. You may be sensitive to the material in the ones you are using.
  11. Before posting check at the bottom of the edit. You should see a list of the pictures, including ones you may have inserted in a previous post. Just delete those entries. Tap each entry if the pic isn't showing. It should display part of the image. Tap the x in the upper right corner (may show a garbage can in a corner instead).
  12. Local tax, labor and other laws would have to be followed. Mucho additional paperwork.
  13. I wonder if the bars are to keep pirates out or crew on board? 🙂
  14. FYI, according to the Canadian government cruise lines are supposed to make and pay for quarantine. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/publications/diseases-conditions/entering-leaving-canada-cruise-ship-covid-19.html
  15. My food dollar doesn't stretch as far these days. I expect cruise lines, like restaurants and other foodservice are faced with the same thing.
  16. Possibly your Sort By setting is not Recently Updated. See upper right corner of the post list. Another possibility is the browser is not refreshing the page.
  17. 😱😨 Elephants couldn't drag me onto that.
  18. Haven't seen any posts about this for quite a while. Besides, the boosted generally have two mRNA shots which should satisfy strict requirements.
  19. I don't understand the paranoia. The quarantine requirement is a matter of law and applies across the board, regardless of method of transportation. Anyone entering Canada by any means who is COVID positive is required to quarantine for 10 days. In fact the government is making an exception allowing COVID positive non-Canadians entry into the country. Had it not, cruising would likely not have restarted.
  20. Canada does not require a COVID test for entry if one is fully vaccinated.
  21. It's not a good way to state the fact that Canada does require a COVID test for entry. People flying into Canada should keep in mind that random arrival testing is still carried out. I believe it a violation of law to enter Canada by air with symptoms or a positive test result obtained less than 10 days prior to travel.
