  1. Good advice to skip the sides. I ask them to not even bring them to my table. Classic buffet tactics...they'd rather you fill up on cheap white rice than eat the expensive stuff. It's also why I avoid the buffet sushi, too.
  2. There's no pricing on the menu aside from the cocktails...anyone know how much Moderno is for 1 meal if you just want to use cash/OBC?
  3. How does it work on embarkation day? Do they still pack it in at 6pm? Do you not get any service until Day 2?
  4. I'd mind. It's one thing to have smoke in a free venue like Spice...but if you pay an upcharge to be in a special area where smoking is SPECIFICALLY prohibited I'd get that shut down fast.
  5. So you can't have evening service? Only the morning? What about refilling the ice bucket? I usually only asked for once/day anyway, but sometimes I like it in the morning, sometimes in the evening depending on my schedule. Also I'd often not want full service in the morning or evening but just wanted some fresh ice.
  6. Reading the updated copy on the website...doesn't say anything about the $35 limit or whatever it was. Is that still in effect? Here's what it currently states: " Benefit is available on sailings 5 days or longer, and entitles each guest to an appetizer, one entrée and dessert of choice. Upcharges apply to certain premium menu items; Raw Bar Seafood Platter is not included. Bottle of Wine offered in all venues offering Complimentary Wine list, Palomar not included. In à la carte restaurants, coupon can be redeemed for 4 menu items per person (Sushi, Wasabi, Nama, Teppanyaki, Hasuki, Food Republic, Pincho Tapas Bar or Raw Bar). Additional entrées will incur supplemental charges. Dinner coupons are non-transferrable. Solo guests cannot claim two dinners. Coupons can’t be used for the same venue twice. 2 guests maximum. Dining options vary by ship."
  7. You could also just scoop up a cup full of hot tub water at around 6pm after a long sea day and it'd be pretty close...
  8. Exactly. It's an untenable situation. I really think they'd just scrap the stop if it came down to it.
  9. Be careful with the CC chargeback. Some cruise lines add pax who do that to no-sail lists.
  10. No large cruise ships will be stopping in Bar Harbor this fall, but NCL is still selling Canadian itineraries with it on there.
  11. "We now have another guest with some tools attempting to hot wire the box that scans the card for the Vibe." That is freaking crazy. Why does cruising attract such scumbag trash people?
  12. I know, right? Or there's other perks like free gratuities. One of the big mass market travel sites is running a promotion right now with free gratuities for 2 on 7 night+ sailings. You don't get that if you book with NCL directly. Even without that, it's FREE, and wouldn't you rather have someone wait on hold listening to NCL's hold music for 2 hours instead of having to do it yourself?
  13. I never got the allure of the behind-the-scenes tours. Oh, wow...an industrial laundry facility and a big kitchen. What hidden wonders.
  14. Sorry to be so dumb....but all I want to know is if I have my phone connected to the 150 min WiFi and have my phone switched to WiFi calling if I can just dial a number and make a regular call.
  15. Then they should have been put on a no-sail list.
  16. These little bastards and their families should have been informed that if there was a single further infraction from any of them they'd be disembarked at the next port. This is outrageous.
  17. This is absolutely ridiculous re: the kids. Security should have 100% gotten involved. Cookie fight in the halls?
  18. Ah, see I'd need to be calling into conference call #'s for work...that's not a WhatsApp #.
  19. Pete would you please swing by Ocean Blue and see if they've got the brussells sprouts side item anymore?
