  7. I’m visiting Sri Lanka next year, and have done a quick look at the visas. My understanding was a “transit” visa was only for visitors who were transiting at an airport? I thought that even if you decided not to leave the ship, a visa is required? Happy to be corrected! Not applied for my visa yet.

  10. This is my plan on an upcoming cruise. It’s a B2B and I booked cruise only for both. I purchased a drinks package for the 2nd cruise in the sale, but checked that we can cancel it up to 48 hrs before sailing. We’ll drink as we normally do on the first cruise (with no package but taking advantage of the happy hour and carry on wine as you did) and we’ll see how much we spend, and if the drink package is needed for the 2nd cruise.

  13. When check in opens for your cruise (usually 45 days before - check the app for your cruise and it will show the date), you select a boarding time. Arrive at the terminal at that time. When you check in on the app or website you enter your passport details, and on the day of boarding you are prompted to answer a few health questions. Therefore once you arrive at the terminal it’s usually a very quick process to board.
  14. We have brought on board wine at ports in Europe and US. Would have been happy to turn in for the cruise, as we didn’t plan on drinking on board, but it was never taken off of us.
  15. You can pre purchase via the website: manage reservation/ gifts and gear. Price may vary but here’s the prices for 1 of my upcoming cruises. The “back home” package is 3 bags worth, so a good buy.
  16. This made me check my orders and there’s a difference between the cruises where I had booked Alll Inclusive and those booked Cruise Only. For the AI cruise, my order history lists it as a “celebrity pass upgrade”and the price was only £9.22 per day. The description notes that I already had WiFi. For the Cruise Only fare, it’s called a “celebrity pass” and cost me £20 per day. Given the difference in price, I am expecting premium wifi for the “cruise only” cruise with the celebrity pass.
  17. Check on Manage Reservation for any upcoming cruises. My understanding was there was a limited number available for each cruise (and they sold quickly!). Mine cost £20 per person per day. Details below. It was a no brainier for me just for the wifi.

  20. I’m doing the same B2B in Sydney in Jan 25. Not in Retreat. Just bought a hop-on-hop-odd bus ticket for the day, so don’t need to be off the ship for a set time. I’m hoping they learn from all the B2Bs before then and streamline the process! photos of Sydney Opera House are gorgeous 😍
  21. You can raise with Amex. You’ll have proof of the refund presumably (an email from celebrity or a screenshot of the cancellation) as proof.
