  1. Personally Iโ€™d do both and skip Chops. Playmakers and Portside BBQ are really not similar and a better dining experience than our last two experiences at Chops on Oasis (March) and Harmony (January).
  2. Unfortunately that didnโ€™t end as planned. We spent a lot of time yesterday โ€œyellingโ€ at the TV during the Vegas/Winnipeg and Toronto/Tamp games. In our case the right teams won. Today we will have hockey on from 1pm to midnight, and some Blue Jays/Yankees in jump on the remote. The weather has been favourable for staying indoors, being cool and wet. Hopefully it will be nice enough to BBQ ribs this afternoon. ๐Ÿ˜‹
  3. @Tree_skier thank-you for the compliments about Owen and his sporting skills. One of his coaches is an Ontario Federation Rugby coach (title might be wrong by me) and has been giving Owen some extra guidance along the journey. We thought he would have passed on the high school soccer team this year and tried out for the baseball team, but he surprised us with rugby. I read you post to Owen and he was very impressed how the sport has followed you through your life.
  4. We stayed at that Sandals and know the area too. The beach is amazing, I wish the horse ride had been better for them.
  5. It is his first year. His football coach who coaches the rugby team and other players suggested he try out. Owen's position is fly-half and will most likely do the kicks for conversion. I just read your comment to him and he was impressed that you were involved for as long as you were. He commented that it says a lot about the sport.
  6. With hockey done this is now our after school activities. Owenโ€™s first rugby game is next week and it is an exhibition game. No games are scheduled for baseball yet.
  7. Lisa and I watched BD yesterday and were confused by the 2 guests at the end that complained about their cabin to the Captain. Then the other guests that added more tip to make up for them. The blood, was just another bizarre aspect of their stay. Lisa commented, โ€œhow embarrassed they must feel to see this, when it is airedโ€. For some reason I donโ€™t think they will be, and those that know them will not be surprised.
  8. Saturday here on the farm it was 80F and corn husks were being bailed and sold for bedding. Today at moms they were turning on the sprinkler system. The landscapers were also doing spring clean-up. It was also snowing.
  9. Here is Lisaโ€™s recipe card for it. She thoroughly bathes them in the melted garlic butter during the cooking process. I dip them in sour cream, but Iโ€™m the only one who does that. She places the potato on 2 wooden spoon handles while slicing them thinly, so you donโ€™t cut through them. Call it a kitchen hack. She does use a cutting board, this is just my static display.
  10. We were sailing over new years as well and I didnโ€™t follow your live review. I missed reading about your dadโ€™s passing. Iโ€™m sorry for your and your familyโ€™s loss. Your youngest daughterโ€™s excitement reminds me of our son when he was her age. Now he is almost 16, he reminds me more of your older daughter. Only takes a few years for the change to happen. As for scrabble I would have totally been on it, Spanish or not. I still would have lost but I would have been in.
  11. Lucy knowing every day is pet day. This morning she woke up in the chairs that just went out yesterday with the warm weather. Currently waiting to fall asleep or for snacks, which ever cones first.
  12. A few photos from Easter dinner at my MILโ€™s. Pork roast Lemon meringue. Chocolate pie. The scale of this photo is horrible. The serving spatula is not that large.
  13. In 1991 they didnโ€™t have them where as our Buick did. I would lean my coffee against the windshield on the dash of my old stick shift truck. I still have 4 stick shift cars today.
  14. @Ozark_Kid as many have said here I am sorry to read about your prognosis. Our home is sending hugs and prayers to you and your family.
  15. I think they mean Perfect Day at CoCo Cay, except there is a suite area at Labadee at least for now.
  16. A few photos from the concert at the Dolby Live Theatre. Adam came out into the audience and sang the first song of the encore. Itโ€™s a 5,000 person venue and I donโ€™t think there is a bad seat in the house. Final song was Sugar and it ended with a large blasts of wedding style confetti. If you have seen the video for this song, you already know that they crash multiple weddings in LA and surprise the wedding party and sing this song.
  17. There was a point in time that Porsches didnโ€™t have cup holders, as they were meant to be driven and not shunt beverages from Starbucks to Starbucks. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚
