I think a lot is what we are used to. I did 14 day dream mid January and loved the food and more elevators, 3 elevators for a lot fewer people. We had close to 1500 no shows, so never a wait. But I missed my 5 free drinks and free days of wifi. I admit it. And excursions on carnival never go on sale. I load up on royal on black friday. I preferred carnival food choices though. We might have had better food though because it was a journey cruise. Carnival upper their menus by added emeril selections, while royal cut and cut. And I dislike royal pizza and love the thin crispy crust pizza carnival has. I'm the opposite of op. I love carnival pizza. So most of what she disliked I prefer... though free wifi and free drinks on royal has a appeal. ..but not because of the cruise itself.

I've never had one issue in 20 years with billing from royal. I dont check for holds so idk, I dont run my account that close it would matter. Princess once billed me for a big bottle of water they left in the cabin my roommate drank. Wasnt my signature and my name misspelled on the signature so they removed it. Only issue in 20 years.

My nod for mattresses would be toward carnival. Though I guess one can be new and hard. But carnival mattresses to me are better and softer. I dont mind food spread out, but like looking out seeing the ocean. Ship design i guess not my thing. Dont care, dont hardly notice or have a opinion. Are pool deck seats in the shade. Winner. We did oasis mid march 2023 and had over 2k kids. That's probably typical for spring break. They were noticeable imo, but next time I'll remember its spring break.

My sister is still complaining about her back from the 18 wheeler rear ending them when they were stopped at a light. Whip lash for the back I guess. Her husband said monday he kinda hoped they totalled his kia he wanted a ranger pick up he had his eye on. Sure enough they totalled out their kia and he went out by yesterday and got a pick up, the silver ranger. Hes agile, age 85, but my sister on a good day is on a walker, on a bad day she is a limp bowl of jello. And his daughter is way grown up who has to climb into the back seat. He also picks up a blind lady and her large german shepard seeing eye dog and takes her to church. For someone giving rides to church folks, a pick up wouldnt have made my top ten choices. He told my sister he was buying a running board so there was a extra step to get up in this pick up. What was he thinking? He also now wants to go to Scotland and ireland and just fly over, dont prebook hotels or make any plans. He believes in just winging it, doesnt want to be tied down with reservations. They all applied for passports. I'm biting my tongue. I keep reminding myself I'm moving. He invited me to go along, I said oh I'm moving in may, so sorry.

You see articles on social media how florida now is unaffordable. People are leaving for cheaper states. Imo I have never seen such interesting properties for what imo is a reasonable price. Imo a cocoa beach address is worth a little more than a cape Canaveral address, than a merritt island address, though they all touch. This is a cocoa beach address along the backside banana river as they call the water on the back side. 1650 sf looking fairly updated stainless steel appliances, updated floors. Not only does it come with a individual garage, it also has it's own private boat slip and only $600 HOA. Imo 3 bedrooms here without a boat slip was going for this. ..if someone had use for a boat slip this is a deal. I feel lucky to find a deal that suited me tbh. .. but there are sure some deals out there right now imo.

I had to laugh, I guess they think if they get you Aussies drunk enough you wouldn't care where you go. They also suggested a coat because now the ship is going south where its colder than planned. I like that boardwalk feels more open and you can see out the aft, but noisy. Like central park for a quiet place but no ocean view. I've done both pros and cons. Boardwalk further to walk back. Its behind the aft elevators.

It's a beautiful beach imo. Have a fish taco at the taco place in cocoa beach. Walk out on the cocoa beach pier. Buy a tee shirt at Ron Jon's.

Most of the 1A have a sofa bed. It's the sofa and they remove the back pillows and that's the sofa bed. It's too hard for me. It doesnt pull out as something. Just the back rest pillows are removed to sleep.

For those who might want to come down a night earlier, 10 rooms added to the hotel block a night earlier. Bella 2.0 "FYI, I just had 10 rooms added for the night of the 31st if anyone was coming down 2 days early."

I was reading about brillance out of Australia I think, supposed to leave tomorrow but leaving sunday to one kinda cold port. I would say even that can be loosey goosey as when I was on conquest and a hurricane wiped out Galveston they delivered us back to new orleans and made everyone get off the ship. They did say you could then reboard and 3 or 4 days later sailed to the proposed houston port which later tried but never worked .. houston port is not Galveston. I wrote and they said close enough, they owed me no compensation. I swore I'd never do carnival again. We were allowed 1 phone call I used to rent a car from new orleans. I've read posters claiming we got bused back, not true. I was on the ship, we got nothing. Also missed 2 of 3 ports during hurricane season. Ports arent guaranteed .. but if the poster wants to write, go ahead. Btw we knew hurricane Ike was coming but it wasnt forecast for Galveston so when we left on sunday we werent allowed to cancel for a refund or plenty would have. It made a dog leg 6 days later on friday right to Galveston. I would have no showed had I known it would hit Galveston. I lost my car that was only 6 months old and everything in it. Missing a port is nothing. How about losing a new car and getting vastly depreciated value. New Saturn I was so proud of. Brand new off the showroom floor.

I did the 10 day radiance to Panama and other ports and we had 10 different menus. American night they offered a hamburger which is what I ordered. They do have 10 different menus, I'm sure as I experienced it just different ports. We also had UK night. Mushy peas and such. Nothing to write home about. But they have enough menus for each night even without lobster night. I cant name all 10 menus ... but they do have 10 menus.
