as I said I see a couple a few bucks off out of Galveston. I do not see anything on jubilee or the 14 days that are even 25% off much less 50% off. I can book rcl cheaper. The prices I'm seeing are hardly anything off. Nov 24 $100 off .. again. I'm not interested in nov 2023 I want something past my jan 2024 dream cruise in 2024 that is discounted. Why would I pay those prices? Sorry I'm loyal to my pocketbook. Didnt say I cant see those dates .. I cant see those dates with the sale or a deal im willing to book. I'll take a balcony on harmony over a inside on jubilee. . Carnival needs another real 50% off sale that applies to Galveston. .. It's a 6 hour drive to Galveston. Unless its 7 days or b2b cheap on shorter I'm not driving that far and paying for a hotel or parking. Everything in my signature is 14 days or more. I also wouldnt tie up dates in 2024 for some short cruise, those I'd book last minute b2b at most. ..and gas isnt getting cheaper. Well I do have a 10 days in radiance and then a group cruise to meet cc friends on oasis .. but those arent discount cruises. So I'm correcting myself. I almost never book less than 14 days.

I'd be talking to whomever you booked with about transferring it. If you are positive rcl has been good about moving cruises.

for once we agree. No way I'd get on a airplane in a few days and hope I could test negative and have to lie on the health questionnaire. I think it still says 14 days have you tested positive or been around anyone you know was positive. I could be wrong on the 14 days. My health questionnaire doesnt open on b2b so I didnt see it and they asked me in person in the terminal. Something new it doesnt open on b2b, just original boarding.

Im sure I've posted this multiple times. Surprised you just now get it. I'm doing may 4 9 13 and 18. 4 legs. Not one time tested between. Only unvaccinated are being tested, vaccinated are not. It's been a while. May 8th would have been my first morning to be tested before turnaround may 9. It's been posted many times, maybe some dont read the posts but I'm sure I've posted it. We were told our 2nd day so around may 6th by the diamond ambassador it was discontinued. Maybe since I'm onboard they didnt beat me around the head or they dont know grandeur went out of Galveston now.

The no shore leave isnt true for all ships. The diamond ambassador on my ship has gotten off every port and told us where he went. Last time he was rushed and didnt have time for his massage. Depends maybe what ports. We are so short dining. First sea day they ran out of several foods, then ran out of silverware, then no clean tables. They stopped allowing people into the WJ and they had to wait in line to get in. My waiter, mary, thinks I'm not allowed to order items off the vegan or kids menu. Been only 2 times to Mdr for dinner and she told me no, I have to pre order. I said i ordered the same item last 2 legs. No such rule. Both times she called over her supervisor. Instead of telling her I can order mac n cheese from the kids menu he is separating us next leg. Poorly trained and desperate is how I describe service. 2 hour dinners. Someone said he walked out of chops after 1 hour 30 minutes. I'm on grandeur.

I did 2 breeze 5 days. Got a glass of champagne and a group picture. No fruit but didnt want any.

Cdc really is who they are listening to. Cdc is going to err on the side of being vaccinated. I cannot see this changing. There are still cases onboard ships. I think most people including the cdc who matters think your chances of being less sick are if you are vaccinated. It would take rolling a very big boulder up hill for this belief to change. Carnival early on had a age 77 lady die who sued them. They dont want very sick patients onboard. I just cant see it happening. I'm already 6 months past my booster and if anything they will move to having more recent booster shots. Carnival has had a couple longer or to hawaii requiring boosters. I agree it doesnt matter what anyone here believes about being vaccinated... it's what cdc believes. Why would ships take on additional risk.

idk if my ships just have different policies but neither liberty or grandeur have fresh squeezed OJ the morning of departure. They tell me it's their policy they dont offer it the last morning. Yes to the others you can get at the coffee shop.

I havent had any booze and vouchers going to waste. Of course getting the chocolates was another story. Took more than 1 trip let's put it that way. ..I first got brownies. She said the diamond guy said I wanted strawberries. He said he asked for strawberries for the diamond lounge, nothing to do with me. So I also have a box of brownies. My current steward is making me tiny animals. I have to put the chocolates away or I'll eat them. Out of sight.

Actually you can pick them at 175 pts. I have 3 boxes and 1 coming. 1 box is half eaten. They are really delicious. Since I cant get towels they are my new selection.

Even rain is a disappointment if it's your day in port.

Lol my 4th leg on grandeur starts tomorrow and already people are worried about rain in ports and looking. 3 legs of perfect sunshine and now the 4th people say might have some rain. I hope it misses us for their sakes. People have looked forward to this for a while. We will know soon as the forecast firms up.

Off the subject of food I'm also having a gnat problem in my bathrooms. They came and sprayed but say they are in the water pipes so spraying one cabin doesnt really help. Harmless but still odd to have gnats in my bathroom. On my roll calls I'm also reading lots of food complaints so it's not just me. Food tastes good, they just lack the staff to serve it in a timely manner.

I'm on grandeur where Mdr meals are often taking up to 2 hours. 70% staff and 90% full or more. I read that blogger who was talking about how hard it is for rcl to hire. They especially need dining and bar staff he says. Asking for them to give you a to go meal when they can barely cope as it is would be a huge imposition imo. . If you want to being her food go to the WJ and make her a plate and being it to her or pay for room service. Believe me my Mdr wait staff can barely refill drinks and get us our food in a timely manner. Until staffing is up to 100% I think it will be up to you to get it if you dont like room service.

she speaks english with no accent. You misunderstand what I'm posting. I am pointing to the item. She knows what item I want. She doesnt think people are allowed to order items not on the main menu. She knew what item I wanted. I pointed to it on the menu tonight on the kids menu. She thinks as a adult I have to get permission to order off the vegan or kids menu. She was perfectly clear what I wanted. I pointed to it on the menu on my app. First night she said if I wanted a item from the vegan menu I had to have pre ordered it. I suspect she has it mixed up like gluten free doesnt have a menu so they pre order. I'm ordering something that is on the menu. There is no age limit. Anyone is allowed to order off the kids menu. She just is poorly trained.

Yes in april it does finish with a full transit. How is that only one airfare unless someone lives in Galveston which I dont. I'm about 6 hours away. So it helps not at all lol to what leave my car home and have to fly from Dallas to houston and then a extra shuttle to Galveston. Imo the 3 ten days round trips which go to colon Panama jan 30, feb 27 and march 27 are better for us Texans. A lot are booking the 9 day to coco cay b2b with the 10 day to panama. Lots of excitement for the b2bs. New ports. Havent heard anyone who lives somewhere in texas excited about the transit. Texas is big state. Have to get to Galveston which I think you missed lol. not everyone wants to fly. I have the radiance 10 day to colon Panama and no excursions came up yet but I was also interested. I'm very happy going out of Galveston and that we can get to Panama out of Galveston. I'm on the jan 10th. Only one I could fit in before John's bella cruise flying to miami for that march 2023. Thank you rcl for giving us a few new ports. I'd already booked carnival out of Galveston for exactly the same reason, then out of the blue rcl pops up 3 to Panama from Galveston. So easy to do round trips I can drive to. Panama and Costa Rica and Columbia and ABC is why I booked the one carnival. Didnt know rcl would also get me there. .. nice! Have you priced airfare? Oasis march 2023 is all the flying I want to pay for but I'm sure for you it's easy to say forget the price and do a flight to both coasts. Air fare lately you just dont know and it's one more thing to worry about.

I'm debating starting a thread of my own. First 2 legs were very good but the dining crew reached its breaking pt this cruise. WJ sea day was too much. My cabin steward says what do you expect 70% crew and 100% pax. Never saw the roast beef sandwiches, went 3 times looking for ribs. Some protein. Pasta day and I dont eat pasta. Finally got a couple of ribs 3rd time. Went for silverware and every single bin is empty. Got a crew to get some but everyone needs silverware. Then not a single clean table. Friends let me eat with them. So I'm already feeling put out. Another gal said at 130 pm she was standing outside the WJ in line they stopped letting people in. Someone at my dinner table borrowed his wife's napkin and said he ate lunch with his fingers. We only half half enough salt and pepper shakers. Go to dinner. Night 2 i order a appetizer from the vegan menu. I ask for poblano soup and the avacado and melon appetizer. Mind you I've had it 2 legs already and this is 3rd leg same order as always. Waiter female tells me i have to preorder from the vegan part of the fleetwide menu posted on my app. I like no, she gets her supervisor. He is all acting like he is doing me a special favor getting me a menu item. He even takes my cabin number for next leg and says he will make sure he gets it for me. While this is nice of him. Imo I'm not the one at fault, the waiter needs to be told this is a fleetwide menu. It comes off I'm the problem if he has to seat me with a different special waiter next leg. Hasnt been a problem on liberty or 1st two legs, but it is with her. I left mad the supervisor is making me the problem for ordering a appetizer which if you scroll down past the kids menus is on everyone's app. Did WJ last night for dinner but tonight is lobster. I think I want the kids appetizer of strawberries and kiwi. See if she tells me no. I screen shot the menu on my app ... it's the avacado and melon with lime sauce.

it came up because someone posted you get double pts in a JS. Btw I told the lady at my dinner table about cruise critic. I suggested she come on here and ask how many pts she will get in a JS. I told her 3 but she wouldnt believe me. The next cruise rep told her double pts which to her means 4. So i said after she gets off ask and someone will explain how many pts she will get as a solo in a JS. I think its sloppy language to tell someone they will get double pts, like the next cruise rep told her to get her to book a JS. Idk if she will come on here and ask or not. She wouldnt accept my answer of 3 pts per day. She thinks there is just some special deal the next cruise rep got her for double pts.

I've done a JS how about you? I also know going from 2 pts to 3 isnt double in the math I learned. Sorry I know about JS i guess you dont if you have to post a link. Like i said a lady at my Mdr dinner table booked onboard at next cruise. They booked her solo into a JS so she thought she would get 4 pts. They said double pts. Why not say 1 more pt for a suite and use exact language. Not new math to make it sound different. I think the world thinks everything is about being a couple so solos are swept under the table. 2 plus 1 more pt equals 3 pts, she will not get 4 pts.

Just to be clear they dont get double pts. As a solo I get 2 pts in a regular cabin. I get 1 extra not double with a JS. . Someone on next cruise here on my ship told a lady sailing solo she would get double and nkw she thinks she will get 4.
