  1. Taking some sips from an individual drink is not what they mean by "sharing" the package.... it is when you get someone else their own drink using your package.
  2. Please tell all this to my gullet the next time I get wicked heartburn halfway through a one week cruise, trying to do just a portion of what you’ve described. It won’t listen to me no matter how much I try to reason with it.
  3. I'm guessing they don't want to allow for one single 1.5L in place of two 750 ml because they either don't want to trust the crew's math skills or would rather not have to ensure there's only one of the mags.
  4. This is why it's not worth it for DH and me.....he may drink enough alcohol to make it worthwhile for his own DBP, but when you add me into it, it isn't even worth my getting the refreshment package which they'll allow instead of both of us buying the DBP.
  5. And this is why when people go on about “all cruise lines are in trouble” I realize it’s time to start looking at lines closer to home. As a New Yorker, I have to take into account that Princess serves my area very poorly. What was once worth flying to has become less so. Cunard, Celebrity, and RCI are a lot more convenient, so if all lines are diminished we may as well save some time, money and effort with those closer options. I haven’t sailed Cunard in almost 10 years but remember enjoying their ships…and I liked the one Celebrity cruise we took, although it is a little more money. I understand that for some, expanding their horizons beyond Princess would be hard to fathom, but we are all well traveled people on this site…sometimes you have to go outside your comfort zone.
  6. No problem getting those 10k steps in either 😉
  7. Best feature about the Aquas are the balconies.... sea view, wake view, show view, people watching, anything you like.
  8. Right, I was using my example to answer Jerseygirl's question.
  9. I use downstairs, hubby uses upstairs. Same for bathrooms, nobody in each other's way when getting ready for dinner.
  10. I think it is a reasonable question, considering how concerned some people are about the organizer getting them... makes it sound like they are worth a lot, otherwise why the fuss? ETA, I am aware they are not, but it is a good facetious question, which is my favorite kind.
  11. Same price as Anthem 12 day TA, and that has 5 restaurants if you count the Chef's Table discount. Hate to take a cholesterol count after 12 nights and who knows how many lunches at Chops.
  12. Naples has other places to go such as Capri island, Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast.
  13. And what's with the lighting on every other step? That can be tricky if you're an early riser like me and don't want to disturb sleeping beauty husband. Although that is one benefit to the CLS, I can get ready downstairs while hubby sleeps in.
  14. I was furious one time when we tried to disembark, and the one rare elevator that came up to 17 was already full with 6 people who bogarted it by taking the elevator "up to go down." We ended up taking the stairs all the way down.
  15. I find Deck 17 almost too isolated.... half the elevators don't come up all the way to 17 and everything else on the ship is so far away. I mean it's great if you spend most of the time in your cabin but I like to "get around" more lol
  16. I wouldn't miss any, especially one I've never been to. As for Marseilles, I would take a ferry from the pier to the island of Chateau D'If, the inspiration for the Count of Monte Cristo- https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/chateau-d-if
  17. It must be... I tried to put the Celebrity offer on both my gold and plat Amex cards, and it would only let me add it to one.
  18. Crown Loft Suites are the stilettos of cabins….beautiful but impractical and uncomfortable.
  19. Does booking mean only time of booking, or can it be used for final payment? Last time I was able to use it for an upgrade to a suite.
  20. Glad you got the $600 reversed, though I’m sure there are Princess apologists who think you should have let them keep the money since the company is suffering so much. Hope you get the guarantee problem fixed as well.
  21. How much slack are you prepared to cut them? At best, Princess has incredibly unrealistic goals in their ability to sail at full capacity given the shortage of crew. Ay worst, they are knowingly and deliberately doing so when they know there is insufficient staff. Neither option inspires much confidence.
  22. Can you upgrade once you are on the ship if you get there and the selections are less than satisfying?
  23. If you don't have a card you can send a screen shot of your membership page showing your status and memberhship number.
  24. I think it is possible to recognize all of these efforts on the part of the crew and appreciate all they do, while at the same time also be unsatisfied with how Princess is providing a poor passenger experience while promoting otherwise. They’re running disabled ships, and taking on more passengers than they can handle as it relates to the number of staff. That’s a company problem, not a crew or service problem. I don’t see why some people don’t understand the difference. To put it simply: Staff, good. Company, bad.
  25. I’d say this is the second worst slogan in the history of advertising, the worst of course being South Dakota’s anti drug campaign from a few years ago. “Meth, we’re on it!” No I’m not kidding.
