  1. But that was how you felt when, not a pervasive feeling while being onboard...again simply has to do with when you can make your reservations ahead of time - before boarding. Also, as has been said may times before, times available vary greatly depending upon if you want to share or not...we were in an A1 for our last B2B and only later times were available when our reservation window opened up for non-sharing but we were fine with that as we prefer to dine later....is there a class system in Terrace, Waves, GDR for eating or is there a class system when in the specialty restaurants while eating?
  2. The specialty restaurant earlier access is not something visible daily while onboard so, for us, does not create a "class " feeling onboard which I believe the OP was asking about...
  3. I think if you have read through many of the posts you will find there is no "class system" on O. Once you are out of your room, no one cares! I have no idea what cabin most of our friends are in onboard. The "perks" for booking in a higher cabin category are - 1) Access to the outdoor spa area in front of the spa but anyone can use for a daily fee (they simple paid for access upfront) 2) On the lager ships (Vista, Riviera and Marina) there are concierge/executive lounges for people in those cabins, There is nothing in those lounges that you cannot find anywhere on the ship. We have had access to them on several cruises and never step foot in them. 3) Earlier access and possibly more "guaranteed" reservations in the specialty restaurant but everyone receives at least one guaranteed reservation in the specialty restaurant and can check for more. You will find a welcoming atmosphere onboard for everyone and if, in a rare instance, that someone is asking/telling their cabin, we smile and move on...
  4. I can only relate to my experience - on our upcoming B2B2B, we booked the required number of excursions to receive the 25% off, the SM OBC was used first and our other OBC was also used to pay for the excursions. On 2 of the segments we still have a bit of OBC credit left and on another we owed about $20.00 pp and paid with credit card. Each person is treated individually so each would have to book the required number of excursions to receive the 25% discount but they do not have to be the same excursion. You can wait and book onboard but your choices may be sorely limited due to the excursion demand since SM, It is better to book now and then cancel and book a different excursion on board if you change your mind, Better to have something than nothing, If you want to make a change to your excursions booked prior to embarkation, it has to be done on the phone with O, not able to do online. If a port is missed, the OBC used to pay for that excursion is put back in your account to be used on another excursion (if it was SM OBC). If it was paid by SM and $$$ than the SM OBC is back in your account and the $$ is back in your account as refundable OBC.
  5. Thanks - just added to our card and will max out with final payment coming due before the expiration date!
  6. You are in for a treat with Carson's solo shows....
  7. A few days prior to disembarkation, you will receive a form to complete on requested disembarkation time, etc, You complete and return form and the last day of the cruise, a packet with your disembarkation information and bags tags included, One option is to keep your luggage with you and be responsible for disembarking with your luggage in the first group. Disembarkation is then done by calling out colored bag tags (which coincide with a specific timeframe). In theory this works but in reality people ignore their bag colors and show up/line up to disembark when they want which can cause long lines. They ask that you vacate your cabin no later than 8AM so the cabin stewards can prepare the room for the embarking people.
  8. Those listed under Wine are included in SM DESSERT & FORTIFIED Cantina di Soave Le Poesie Recioto di Soave Classico DOCG, Veneto, Italy Château des Ormes, Sauternes, France Fonseca Late Bottled Vintage Port, Oporto, Portugal Croft Ruby Port Croft Tawny Port

  10. We have seen O celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving, Chinese New Years and several different religions important dates
  11. It is actually 2 accounts (each with own log in) with 1 device online at a time for each account....
  12. We enjoyed a wonderful day at Lake Bled on a pre O cruise in Trieste......driver picker us up at our hotel and spent the day exploring Slovenia with lunch and Bled cream cakes at a lovely lake side restaurant.
  13. Thank you - I have been unable to find this deck plan on the Ocenia offical website.....here is the link I find on the O website..https://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/marina/deck-plan-details?deck=09#nav. so odd. We are also sailing and would love to find this deck plan to check other cabins. I notice from the upper left hand it shows this is representing both Riviera and Marina
  14. Yes - I realize you posted the screen shot but not the source of the deck plan.....is this from the Oceania website or? If you could post a link so the rest of us can go to the deck plan on it's original source.
  15. If you could post a link to this deck plan that you are showing, it might help as I do not find a deck plan for with Riviera or Marina with those symbols (on the O website). TIA
  16. No - when they eliminated the tubs in some cabins on Riviera, it made the shower larger
  17. It appears you are on for a very long time and perhaps several cruises together - we had this problem when we had the same because we were only allowed so many reservations per cruise segment . I had to call O to book the final specialty restaurant in the last segment of the cruise..
  18. Doubt it since more cabins onboard do not have a butler than do and, unless we are needing to contact someone, the subject of what cabin we or they are in does not even come up..
  19. Sirena has different specialty restaurants then the other 3 "R" ships - https://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/sirena/culinary-experiences
  20. You will find a big difference between Baristas on the smaller R ships and on Marina, Riviera and Vista where is a very large dedicate space with the same full tine baristas serving...ice tea is available in all dining venues
  21. Th answers vary by which ship you are sailing on....let us now and you will receive more specific answers but we have had iced tea, iced coffee and know there is 1/2 and 1/2 available onboard..we have sailed on all 6 of the current ships,
  22. It will be listed on your invoice from Oceania and it will also show when you sign into your account on Oceania website and under "manage your bookings"
  23. First hand experience when on Vista in November. 😜
  24. Vista does have large restrooms right outside of Horizons on both sides
