Ninja - we are on the September cruise on the Pride. The ship's shore excursion states "As you come ashore to the port of Athinios" Does that mean no cable car at the beginning of the excursion, only at the end when they bring you back to Fira?

A friend of mine was just there this week with two ships in port and the other ship was leaving an hour before hers, it took her 2-1/2 hours to do the cable car and tender back to the ship. I'll be there in September - I currently have a 4 hour tour booked thru Viator, but now I'm not sure and may switch to the Ship tour.

How did you get there from the Port - did you just walk out of the port and grab a taxi. How much was Jamie's and the Taxi. Thanks!!

I'm on the 9/19/23 cruise out of Port of Civitavecchia - can you let me know when they start to let people on the ship as it is a later departure (ours is 7pm) than the normal Caribbean ones I go on. Thanks..

Yes - that is what I ended up doing and lucky me the price had dropped even further, so now I have $640 OBC and it's on my account and I have the new invoice.

I called and talked with another rep. My cruise dropped again so now I'm at $640 OBC. She sent me the updated invoice for the 1st time I called. She said call in a day or two and the new $640 will show. At least I have the updated invoice showing $462 OBC. Keeping my fingers crossed when I call after the weekend, its up to $640

A :  The Cruise with Confidence Best Price Guarantee program allows guests to take advantage of better rates up to 48 hours prior to sail date! Guests must have booked on or before March 31, 2022, for sailings that depart on or before September 30, 2022 and they can request the difference of their booked rates versus any rate reduction. The difference in pricing will be added to the booking as an onboard credit, inside final payment, and it’ll be applied within 14 business days, and a new confirmation will be generated with the Onboard Credit value.

How long did it take to show on your account. I called last night for a $477 cruise price reduction after final payment and they said it takes 2 weeks. Also no email confirmation. I guess I just have to trust its going to happen?

I was just on my cruise planner and my time dining the reservations started at 6:00 pm. I had read that it doesn't start till 6:45pm? Will they be honoring 6/6:30 if we book it?

It's funny - I'm the type of person who buys the insurance on almost everything (except for household items), but I get for plane, cruise, land based vacation, concert tickets, even on my certified pre-owned cars and I have used the insurances numerous times for various reasons, it's always worked out and it's been a benefit that I've had it. Then others never take it, never will and have never had to use it. But I guess it just takes one time............

New to Royal - when looking at the Unlimited Dining Package - it states: Savor the savings with the Unlimited Dining Package. For one low price, you can enjoy multiple entrees and visit multiple specialty restaurants every night of your sailing. And as an added perk, this unlimited package also applies to lunch at specialty restaurants on sea days. Just checking that we can order a steak and lobster tail (two entrees at once). Also Lobster tail states $21 extra - do we have to pay that when we have the Unlimited package. Thanks.

Options for flying into San Juan out of Newark and AC land you there in the middle of the night. Newark has us land at almost 4 am. Has anyone done this and are there cabs available at that time? Does your baggage arrive somewhat quickly? Did it feel safe? And what did you do during the wee hours of the morning? This will be 2 days prior to the cruise. Thanks......
