Just got home about 10am. San Pedro embarkation and disembarkation was very smooth. Discovery Princess is a beautiful ship. I just had to get used to that sometimes you can’t get there from here (from the aft, decks 5 and 6 (MDRs) don’t go through, you need to go to at least deck 7 and maybe circle back). We had premium balcony cabin (sofa and larger balcony). We were on Deck 9 (Dolphin) and it was covered a bit. The balconies below us had no cover, and ones above were fully covered. The Medallion worked pretty well. We ordered drinks, food, towels for the cabin, and had our room service tray picked up. It’s cool that you can find your shipmates, look up your account, have your door unlocked, etc. Dinner reservations for MDRs and specialty restaurants were made with no problem, we got the days/times we wanted. Service was a bit slow but hey, I’m on vacation. We ate in the buffet some breakfasts and lunches. Service was great and as were the selections. Love the (several) omelette stations. The entertainment very good. Lots of activities. Music was all over the ship all the time. Night entertainment (singer/dancer production shows) were very good. Several comedians but I didn’t attend. We did a private excursion in PV, and went to Pancho’s Restaurant in Mazatlan. DD just went shopping in Cabo San Lucas. All in all DD and I had a nice cruise.

Good morning. Thanks to all who contribute to make this the most friendly, loving thread on CC Well, I’m way behind. Started packing a bit. I have my clothes picked out, just need to try on the dresses to make sure they fit. I decided to change up my “cruise wardrobe“ so friends won’t see me in the same things I wore my last 2 cruises with them (the most recent 3 weeks ago 😜). OK, got them picked out, made a few changes. I’m not going to the craft fair (don’t really need anything, it’s just a tradition) but going to the chiropractor instead. I did something to my back last weekend and I thought I was going to be down, but thankfully it got better. But I made an appointment for a treatment/adjustment just in case. Oh, I went to the 99 Cent Store for holiday decor for my dad’s grave. Most of the stuff is now $1.30 and it goes up from there. They wanted to charge $13 for a plastic wreath. I put that back. So after the chiropractor I need to visit a Dollar Store to find a wreath, then to the bank, and fill up the gas tank. I’ll make one last dinner for DH (spaghetti so he has leftovers) and finish packing. Good thing I’m driving to the port or I’d be a nervous wreck. Off to my appointment.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 We’ve already celebrated with DH’s family last Saturday (our tradition) so I’m cooking a prime rib for us later today. I'm still playing catch-up on reading the fleet report/daily. My goal is to catch-up before I leave on my Discovery Princess cruise with DD in 9 days. But I’m working, going to a craft fair (Harvest Festival, last of the season), and then of course packing. So I’ll do the best I can. (The good thing is I’ll have Wi-Fi this cruise so we’ll see how good it is.) Prayers 🙏 for all on the Care list. And a big woohoo 🥳 to those on the Celebrations/Shoutout list. Happy heavenly birthday to Jose @kazu🤗😘.

I’m still trying to catch up. I was down to 5 days, but now back to 7. 🫤 We have our family Thanksgiving tomorrow so I think I’ll be more behind. But I just saw this on FB and thought of my “other” family:

Hi everyone. I’m back from my cruise on the NCL Bliss, and am now in Vegas playing bingo. I didn’t have a chance to read the Daily and Fleet reports so I’m playing catch-up. It was a relaxing cruise, I only got off the ship in Cabo for internet service. We were in the Haven (my first time) and everything was wonderful except for the sofa bed. It took 4 nights before it was just OK. Great food, great service, I saw Jersey Boys twice, the Beatles Experience twice, and a band “Siglo” once. Didn’t see the comedians. I’ll be home from Lost Wages on Wednesday. We have “Friendsgiving“ with our bible study on Thursday, our family Thanksgiving on Saturday, and I need to go to the cemetery on Sunday to decorate my dad’s grave. Then in 2 weeks I’ll be on the Discovery Princess with my DD. I’ll be home for a couple months then will be going to Miami to board the NCL Encore for a Caribbean cruise with my mom and sis & hubby. After I get home I’ll be camping (annual fireworks shown Lake Havasu). THEN I’ll be home for a while. (I’m sure my boss will be happy. 😉) Take Care!

Good morning! Yesterday I dropped off my mail in ballot and did some last minute shopping for my cruise. DD decided we would go the craft fair this morning instead of yesterday afternoon. So after work yesterday I made a big dent in my packing. Friends are arriving at the cruise hotel today. I’ll be driving in tomorrow. I didn’t get a WiFi package so I’ll just have to catch up with reading while in port. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers especially those on the Care List. Remember to fall back tonight (if your area does that).

Busy week for me. DH and I just got back from an off-road trip to Laughlin. It was a nice trip with good weather and only 2 little breakdowns: Our friend’s tire got 2 punctures in the sidewall going through some brush trying to avoid a mud pit. He just plugged them and was good to go. DH lost an engine mount (again... happened on a previous trip). He put in a bolt as a temporary fix and it got us home. We try to do this twice a year but the last time was 3 years ago. I leave for my MR cruise with friends on the NCL Bliss on Sunday. I will only be able to pack a little after work each day. Monday is a nail appt. Tuesday we babysit our grandkids so parents can have a date night. Wednesday I babysit (weekly) so one grandchild can go the speech therapy. Thursday is bible study, Friday I’d like to go to a craft fair. So the main packing will be on Saturday. The day I return from the cruise I fly to Las Vegas for a bingo tournament. Will be there for 3 nights then fly home. Then 2 1/2 weeks after I get home from Vegas I leave on a MR cruise with my DD on the Discovery Princess. This a a reschedule from my cancelled Diamond Princess cruise in September. Somewhere in there I need to go to the cemetery to decorate my dad’s grave for my mom, and there’s Thanksgiving. And 2 more family birthdays and Christmas. I think I may be spreading myself a little thin. 😃
