  1. That's the disadvantage. They will all be promo chips and I don't think any of it accumulates Blue Chip points.
  2. That's a recent name change, they had been marketed as sunset suites after the Revolution. I guess because they are forward and other Sunset Suites are aft along with Sunset veranda being aft.
  3. We were in S1 6145 on Summit and the magnets don't work on the walls but do on the ceiling. We use them on the ceiling to hang the heavy robes they provide in the suites. On the walls where the magnets work they tend to slide down with heavy articles.
  4. If they did they would want a big cut🙂
  5. The answer is no. On some revolutionized ships they have but not all ships.
  6. Yes I failed to note that you paid substantially less. When doing any type of reprice it's the difference between what you paid and the prevailing rate. The prevailing rate on your existing cabin makes no difference unless you are repricing your cabin for a price drop.
  7. Are people getting prescriptions filled before sailing just in case? Is insurance paying? I thought Paxlovid was over $500 per course.
  8. SV to Concierge is considered an upgrade according to Celebrity category rankings. Any change of category like this would cause a reprice with prevailing rates and promo. Generally after final payment they would allow an upgrade if the new category was more $, at least $1. Occasionally if the new category was less they would allow the change for what you paid but there would be on accommodation for the difference. But some times even that was not allowed. Best advice I can give is to call and see what they might offer, then you can decide.
  9. I'm not sure that is the case anymore. Celebrity has their very strong program against single use plastic water bottles which is why all the water they use is either in cans or glass bottles. I know I read in the early days of Edge sailings that they were not allowing water in plastic bottles to be brought onboard (in bulk). I don't know for sure what would happen now but don't be surprised if you have to leave it on the dock.
  10. Generally these comp'ed cruises are cruise only so no bev package, wifi or tips included. You have to pay T/F but still probably not a bad deal.
  11. I hate that Celebrity doesn't date their documents. There is another chart of the full set of stateroom amenities which now states that bev package and internet are not part of the All In amenities with MoveUp. It would have been great to get the home office assertion that they do in writing so you would have something to show the ship when they will probably deny them. It seems to be reported that since the restart they are not part of the amenities for RS and above when doing MoveUP.
  12. CVS and Walgreens are charging for tests for travel now. I believe they are both about $129 for rapid tests. Federal funding for testing has run out. So video proctored home testing is much more affordable at this point.
  13. I think you should send a message to Jennifer Morales jennifermorales@celebrity.com who is the director of Celebrity Engagement Center (Customer Service). I would clearly state the issue and everything you had to do to correct their issue getting incorrect information and push back from multiple levels of her organization. Your story is a demonstration of a total breakdown of customer service and should be escalated to management as a case study to examine, root cause, and take corrective action. You had to spend hours of your time and frustration to correct a problem that was entirely their doing.
  14. Actually the "Best Offer Guarantee" which was part of the Cruise with Confidence program stopped applying to sailings booked after 3/21/2022 or for sailings after 9/30/2022. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-with-confidence?cid=ps_mest_goog_rtlgnr_1702_hp_albr_us_8332&&cid=ps_mest_goog_rtlgnr_1702_dtbe_albr_us_6053&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvbythb6c-QIVj4zICh36EgWgEAAYASAAEgJOjvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds The existing "Best Price Guarantee" which was in place before the pandemic is now the only price guarantee available after final payment and yes it's always been 48 hrs. Celebrity really confused things when they used the "Best Price Guarantee" online form to honor "Best Offer Guarantee" claims.
  15. I think it's only residents of NY which are not able to purchase CruiseCare from Celebrity. Hopefully they would have never been able to add it to their reservation in the first place if this is the case.
  16. Yea right free. Mine was almost $900. I'm sure Jim's with upgrade to RS was way more!
  17. Time to go back to Celebrity and tell them what Anon said. Your payment was processed by Celebrity so I would hold them responsible to resolve. If you can't get anywhere get to Resolutions department.
  18. It's interesting that both the 30% for all passengers and the 60% BOGO promotions are showing on the promo calendar until 8/10. Yes this promo calendar is for TA's but it's on a publicly visible website.
  19. Some TA's seem to be able to transfer outside the 30 day posted rule, not sure how, that's why I leave it to them.
  20. It will be interesting to see if they just remove the solo discount or if it will be a reprice
  21. My point was it would make sense for Celebrity to take the AI upgrade at the prevailing rates providing it was more $$ than their original fare. I'm surprised they won't do this.
  22. In the past you were able to upgrade stateroom category after final payment at the prevailing rate without having to cancel and rebook and eat the penalty.
  23. Yes. Take test any time on Thursday for Saturday sailing.
  24. Yes as long as you have the Xpress pass, negative test results and vaccine proof along with passport or other travel documents. You don't need anything in the Edocs.
  25. You can request baggage tags from the porter at the port.
