  1. This has always been a debate. Technically it is a Wheat pale ale with a hoppy finish similar to an IPA. In my eye and most others it is not a true IPA. Try it and call it what you want.
  2. Little Sumptin' is not an IPA. However, they do have Lagunitas IPA on the American sailings. It's no Two Hearted, but it's better than a lager and beggars can't be choosers,
  3. How stained was the underwear? Maybe that's why it was $40. This guy seems like a lot of fun to travel with.
  4. Nope, Heineken is it. Makes no sense to me other than it make a beer drinker upgrade like I did. No way I could drink Heineken for a week.
  5. Got it, makes sense.
  6. We must be crappy parents. We would have no problem letting our 17 year old be on there own floor. However, I thought the cruise lines make sure anyone under 18 is in a connecting room or across the hall (I could be wrong). So, you probably don't have to worry.
  7. When I booked the Seacape 2 months ago for Jan 2024 the difference was about $100 pp. Now it's about $300 pp. Same thing if you book a year out from now, still almost $300 pp. So, it really has nothing to do with being close to the sail date, prices are just going up in general. It is still a better deal than purchasing a drink package separate, but definitely not free.
  8. Yes, my last MSC cruise got moved from an inside to a Aurea balcony for no apparent reason. Was not upset at all. We were with other people too and didn't care how close we were. Not like we had to drive to get to their cabin.
  9. Yes, show up together. I have yet to hear of anyone turned away because of their time slot. It is purely suggested and if enough people adhere to it they accomplish what they need. 99 out of 100 times they do not even check.
  10. I have the same thing with my reservation and it does not show an OBC for the other passenger which they should get for being Gold status. I tried calling and got absolutely no help. I also sent an email which I have not heard back on, nor do I expect to. I don't sail for a while and will try again sometime. I know I am entitled to it, but time is also money and spending too much time for only $50 may not be worth it.
  11. First time doing Specialty dine since our friends want to try it. Do we actually have to wait to get on board to reserve any Specialty Dining? Can you book as soon as you get on? Where can this be done? Thx
  12. This topic of food always makes me laugh. No cruise food is great. Some are just not as bad as others. Nothing is excellent on any cruise including specialty restaurants. These comparisons are hilarious. It's like comparing Applebee's to TGI Friday's. Sure it's edible, but not great, nor do I expect it to be on cruise.
  13. The only benefit I see is if you need to spend a certain amount by a certain time to get bonus points/miles on a credit card.
  14. This is exactly why I said please don't send me a link telling me what the website states, since it is usually incorrect. I was asking if someone currently or very recently was on the Seascape specifically, not any other ship. Grandiosa and World Europa and not even in the Caribbean so this does not help at all, but thanks.
  15. Can anyone who is currently on or recently off Seascape, confirm or deny the Easy Plus Pkg can get you a margarita in Hola (basic is fine) or do I have to bring one in? Please don't cut and paste from the website, as we all know that is pretty useless and hardly followed depending on the time of day. I would really like someone's current, or very recent experience. Thx
  16. Any TA that won't work with MSC is just flat our lazy and wants to make money and do nothing. Seriously, how difficult is it to make a few phone calls and book a cruise. I would never use a TA that wouldn't book what I wanted. Every TA I have used has never complained about MSC, even if it was a little more work.
  17. Nice, although I'm sure it all depends on the waiter, the day of the week and how nice you ask. The one thing that is consistent with MSC is its inconsistency.
  18. Does the $10 limit on the Easy Plus cover the Margarita's in Hola now? Can you pay the difference now or no drinks pkg allowed? Still getting mixed answers or opinions.
  19. Yep, same here. Just don't talk to the like they owe you something and they will try to help you and usually do.
  20. Agreed. I would be fine if they let you pick your boarding time when you book, which it sounds like they pick it for you. It's ridiculous to think people are not going to want to board as early as possible and take advantage of the first day. Cruise lines have been loading 5,000 passengers without times for years. There is more than one Doctor at this office.
  21. Thanks, that is the plan.
  22. This would not happen to a true experienced MSC cruiser like myself. I always stop at McDonald's on the way to the port to stock up on condiments just in case a SERIOUS ISSUE like lack of ketsup(ketchup) arises.
  23. Then don't book MSC. Try a different Cruise Line that does give free drinks like NCL. Oh wait, never mind. Do you really think anyone believes they are getting free drinks, or bogo or 80% off? People can add the total cost and figure it out themselves. If they can't, they should not be cruising, but they should go back to grade school. But thanks for letting us know the drinks really aren't free.
  24. https://www.msccruisesusa.com/on-board/dining-drinks/drink-comparison-chart
  25. Absolutely correct. The Seascape has been sailing for about 6 month (24ish weeks) X 5,000 passengers = 120,000 passengers give or take. The last time I looked, there were only 54 reviews.
