Been on MSC twice in the Caribbean and once in the Mediterranean. Honestly, in my opinion they are more the same as the big 3 than they are different, but if I hear one more person say the portions on an all you can eat cruise are too small I will go crazy. I mean seriously, that is on a list of your complaints? I personally think that is one of the biggest positives on board.

I don't sail for a while and it's been a few years (pre Covid) since I have sailed MSC. Do they send me a specific boarding time or do I request it at a certain point? If so, how strict are they about being there before your scheduled time? We will need to check out of the hotel by 11:00 and would like to head over by then. Also, do they give us the same time as our linked cabins?

First off, I believe I am I correct in saying that each Gold member gets a $50 obc? My booking confirmation only has the OBC in my name. When I log in to my booking, it shows my wife's Voyager number in one spot, but not the other and I cannot add it in the other spot. My question is, should I bother calling to have such a simple thing added or should I wait and try to get it on board? Is there really a possibility they could screw this up and charge me the current rate for my room which is about $400 more now? Anyone experienced this issue? Thx

If you are writing for sympathy, you are not going to get it from most on here. Seems to me you were 100% at fault. How was it that everyone else seemed to make it on time? Also, it cost you $400 it didn't costed you anything.

Just book it in your name and put your son with your husband, then switch once you are there. Done that a few times without issues.

I concur. Not worth $800 for anytime dining. The private deck space was nothing special and no pool. Yes, the Yacht club has a lot more to offer, but I honestly did not think that was worth the price of another cruise. (at least). Just my opinion.

Usually (currently in US) the difference from the lowest rate and the Drinks Pkg rate with wi-fi is around $200-$250 p/p. If you want to add the Drinks Pkg and wi-fi later it is currently $427 for drinks and $72 for wi-fi p/p. IMO it make much more sense to do it early if you are contemplating.

You have a much better chance of getting your BC before your passport. With all the reports on how long a passport is taking now I'm not sure why you would have not waited until you got back from your cruise so you at least had you BC. Unless you need your passport for something else coming up, Although, I'm sure that's the last thing you want to hear. Hindsight. Good luck.

So you're say 3500 people were horrible? I am not sure they are the issue. Sounds like someone thinks they are a much higher class than the rest of the ship, or just hates Europeans.

Also, pick something with comparable prices. This is a ridiculous comparison. NCL is personally my favorite line, however I would not go on MSC's board while on an NCL Cruise to bash MSC either. You get what you pay for.

Can anyone confirm what is happening this week with the messed up drinks package saga on Seascape? Specifically the Easy Plus Package. Did the allowance go up to $10 to match the new cocktail price or do you have to pay a $1 per $10 drink. Can the Easy Plus be used in Specialty or Signature Restaurants? Bottom line, it is what it is, but just curious how it is currently being handled.

The difference is the cost. NCL is a lot more for the same type cabin and a drink package. HOWEVER, NCL is a much better and polished cruise, especially the entertainment. If you want to save a couple grand, MSC is fine. Nice ships and relaxing, that's about it.

I can't remember ever not seeing free drinks in the Caribbean. (not actually free, but a lot less than purchasing separate)

Not to mention it is their honeymoon. If my new spouse wanted to spend 30 seconds in an arcade on our honeymoon I'm not sure we would make it until the end of the cruise. Just me.
