  1. I agree. And there are security cameras everywhere, even over the bars. I don’t believe the bartenders would risk their jobs for a few dollars, IMO.
  2. Agreed. Years ago we booked a private tour with one of the best tour guides in Istanbul, but it was just for the two of us. We were able to see so much more, imo. We even stopped to enjoy a very nice leisurely lunch. It was one of the highlights of our cruise.
  3. With all the drink packages, I would say yes. 🙁
  4. Why? I was responding to Bo's question to you about your comments being “tongue in cheek”. We lived in Germany for several years and visited many castles. We even participated in Medieval events on the Castle grounds. I completely understand why some would not feel comfortable with the views from the parapets.
  5. I too would like to know. 😉 My advice to anyone who has “Castle Angst” - you might not enjoy Germany. 😁
  6. Sorry Gracie, but I can’t answer your question. My info came from Cruise Deck Plans dot com, and apparently they have different room totals.
  7. 😉 Just for the record, Reflection has 1523 cabins that can accommodate 3655 guests. Connie has 1065 cabins that can accommodate 2556 guests. WB TA's, imho, have always been more popular. We have sailed WB TA's 5 times more than EB.
  8. There are a couple of reasons that come to mind. The size difference between the 2 ships, as Reflection is larger and has more cabins. The other issue is the direction the ships are sailing. WB TA's tend to be more popular than EB TA's. And I'm sure pricing is a factor too.
  9. Always a popular topic. 😉 As far as I know hasn’t been one for awhile.
  10. Well at least it's not another tipping thread. 😁
  11. Just wait until someone starts the Lamb threads. 😉
  12. Lobster again! Really? Hasn't this subject been eaten, I mean beaten, to death already? 😉
  13. I thought I read that if you had a drink package, the corkage fee would not be charged. Am I mistaken..?
  14. You are correct about the weather patterns! We always fly in 2 days early for U.S. embarkations and 3 days prior for International embarkations.
  15. I am not surprised at all that others are shopping around for better deals. As I said previously we prefer the larger X ships. To each their own. 💐
  16. I hope you enjoy Oceania. A 100% refundable deposit wouldn’t be an enticement for us to book them. Their ships have always been, and still are, just too small for us.
  17. Keep in mind that booking 2 years out you will most likely be getting a lower price on your cabin than booking 2 months out.
  18. Your cruise is 6 months away. I wonder if that is why certain venues are not showing, or it states “menus subject to change” ? 😊 If X posts the menus closer to departure it would mean fewer changes on the App (caused by possible supply chain issues) and perhaps fewer disappointments? 😉
  19. Prepare to be “ruined”… in a good way! 😊 That's what happened to us many years ago when we booked our first X cruise on one of their brand new ships. We've never been disappointed and we've never looked back. 😉
