  1. If you asking about the included drinks with SM, they are only the wine, beer, and champagne that are offered by the glass in dining venues at mealtimes. No liquors or spirits are included. If you order a port, cognac, a cocktail, wine, beer, or other spirits or liquors, (and charge it to your stateroom), whether you are in a dining venue or a lounge/bar, you can have it and walk around with it at any time the bars are open. Oceania does not monitor the number of drinks you consume.
  2. Actually Sirena doesn't have them as separated entities. They are replaced by Tuscan Grill which takes menu items from each. The second restaurant is Red Ginger.
  3. Oops, my misreading the ship name. So forget my question.
  4. When is the cruise you are considering? The Mariner is scheduled for the NeXt refurbishment in April/May of this year.
  5. Same here with our Androids, although our experience doesn't have the 10-year history you have. But we've been to many different countries with no problems.
  6. As Lyn suggests, it is the weekend and the site is wonky because they usually do site maintenance on weekends. Check again after the weekend or maybe after the Jan 1 holiday.
  7. O does not email out reminders of when excursions open for bookings, but it is stated in your online booking when you click on the excursions line under manage your booking. Our TA sends us a copy of the excursion pdf about a week or so before the bookings open, so we can plan our port activities. If you booked within a year, a good TA should send you the pdf when you book. If you were unaware of the excursions booking openings, you also may be unaware of the date when online dining reservations can be made. The dates are linked you your stateroom category and you should be prepared to book as soon as they open (almost down to the minute) if you want a 2-top or want specific times. The date is listed on your invoice, although our TA reminds us in advance. Oceania does not send you a reminder. If you don't know how many advance reservations you can book online, here is the list: https://oceaniacruises.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005477653-How-many-dining-reservations-am-I-allowed-in-each-specialty-restaurant-
  8. Your 1 reservation per speciality restaurant is your pre-cruise allotment that you can make online. Based on availability, you can eat multiple times at any speciality pecialty, once onboard, whether your butler makes a reservation for you or you make it yourself at the reservation desk or at the restaurant. There is no charge for additional reservations. Availability can vary considerably, depending on the length of the cruise and passenger demand.
  9. Same dress for all specialties and the GDR: country club causal. Neither ties nor jackets are required. Some folks wear them, but not the majority. Collared shirt is required, but it can be either long-sleeved or short-sleeved. Any reasonable shoe is OK, just not flip-flops. Dress sandals are OK. Women can wear either long pants or dresses. No shorts. Do a search for "dress code" and you will find many threads that may provide you with more information.
  10. Have you thought about checking the porter-written tags for accuracy when you drop them off? We check every tag that goes on our baggage from airlines to cruise ships to verify the information is correct before we leave them in their hands.
  11. Did you have travel insurance, which normally includes trip interruption coverage. I believe your situation would have been covered. Perhaps someone who has filed this type of claim could verify the coverage. If my belief is wrong, I would sure like to know about it.
  12. The 3 bags laundry included in Concierge suites and above does not include ironing. I don't know about the for-fee laundry.
  13. This is the general Oceania board. The Roll Calls are listed as separate boards. Perhaps @knitter would post the link to the relevant Roll Call. Otherwise, go to Roll Calls, selection Oceania Roll Calls, then selected the Roll Call for your ship. Finally, search for the departure or cruise name.
  14. I thought OS tours were the same as regular tours, but with a reduced number of pax. At least under OLife, it seemed that way, but has it changed under SM?
  15. I love Jacques, too, and would love to see it on other O ships, but on what basis or what facts is your understanding that Embers has nothing to do with people’s preferences or changing demographics?
  16. Good advice for the O-ships. But if you're inclined to PH's on the R-ships, it's not possible. One just needs to look carefully at what's above.
  17. Maybe some folks would like to stroll the decks with an allowed glass of wine while watching sunset before going to the restaurant.
  18. Yes, we all know that O's personal wine policiy largely depends on the honor system, and some folks are less honorable than others. But in this case @Torquer was asking about taking a glass of O provided suite wine to dinner. In that case, it would seem to be OK, but it might look like he was taking a glass from his own stash which was his concern.
  19. Yes No Yes, but in the , Where you need to reserve, the time are, for example, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, etc, but for the MDR anytime. Depending on your cabin level, you can reserve a specific number of reservations online in advance. You can reserve 2 tops, or shared tables at that time you make those reservations, depending on availability. Additional reservations are space available and your butler make the arrangements. In this case, two tops may not be available, but you can ask, usually on the days you would like them.
  20. The cabin sizes you quote include the veranda. If you want to compare "living space," the PH on an O ship is 350 sq ft; on an R ship, it's 260 sq ft (sizes from CruiseMapper). We find that the design of the R ship PHs is significantly better than for the O ships and the R ships feel roomier than one would expect from the raw square footage and quite comfortable, too.
  21. Doesn't the number of sheets depend on the type of sailing ship?
  22. If it's not wine you brought onboard, yes. "If so, how would someone know this is wine that came with the suite versus our personal wine we brought aboard with us." The wine glasses in the stateroom are diffrrent from the wine glaases in the dining venue, but knowing whether it's O wine or your stash, would be difficult, if challenged.
  23. The rules state that any wine or spirits brought onboard should be consumed in your stateroom and not carried by the glass to any public place on the ship. Both wine and liquor can be taken onboard. Do some people violate the rules? Yes, but flaunting the them puts Oceania's liberal rules for bring wine and spirits onboard in jeopardy for everyone.
