Brain fade ... what did they call the drop down sides on the tables? Scuttles springs to mind but age has overtaken IQ ? It was only when they refused to serve soup that eyebrows were raised 😄

Leffe Belgian Beer, or Duvel .... both have a high abv but sold in 330ml bottles ....... quite refreshing when chilled ..... if undecided after the first then have a second .... purely for research of course 😄

I am intrigued as to why you would want to point a laser at the stars? Equally, as another suggested, the item may well be listed as prohibited. Again, the light pollution is going to be your main issue. As an aside I would love to compare my experiences from back in the day to the more modern ships. Getting forward may help you, but access may be denied. If it is reasonably clear and cloudless then you should be able to see the higher altitude stuff.

I use Cafédirect Fairtrade Machu Picchu Whole Bean Arabica Coffee, and grind the beans myself. I also buy the odd bag of other specialist beans if the mood takes me. Not too enamoured for Italian style coffee.

Can anyone comment on the hood on these jackets? Looking at the image gallery on both Storm Creek and other retailers, the ladies doesn't seem to have any obvious drawstring - or similar - to tighten it? There also seems to be a lack of pockets. I can only see two hip pockets and none of the descriptions mention an internal pocket.

I checked Flight Ease myself .... no problem... apart from the price 🙄 ... which was 20% more expensive than refundable flights booked direct with the airline. Same flights of course.

I asked SB UK something last week and was told all would be revealed two weeks before sailing 🙄

Seabourn UK told me that Seabourn Seattle will never answer emails or prepare quotes from UK residents. What puzzles me is why they can't / won't / don't forward them on to SB UK? Having said that they did seem embarrassed on the phone 🙂

Many moons ago I visited Rhodesia... as was ... I was asked if I wanted my passport stamping and was told that if I did then there was a probability that many African States would refuse me entry. I did 😄 But never tested the theory.

The subject has cropped up a couple of times on other boards, and the going rate seems to be a minimum of 2 hours. All the "delay complaints" are directed towards the American Immigration being disorganised... for whatever reason😏

We will be boarding at Vancouver so we will have all the immigration palaver to deal with first ...... plus of course two other ships on the same pier. I have a sneaky suspicion that this will not be a pleasant experience 🙄

Which mainstream line has recently started charging extra for certain items on the already upcharged speciality restaurant 😵‍💫 Plus service charge of course 😏

We had a pretty good all round experience at Restaurant Jules Verne atop the Eiffel Tower. Spectacular views and a great meal to boot! Didn't the Fat Duck get closed down for a short while due to breaches of hygiene regulations? Back to 5 again on Scores on the Doors 🙂

Good thought, thanks. I suspect they have nothing suitable, ie hypoallergenic and fragrance free... so I will take my own to be safe 😏

Not at all bothered for sailaway 'parties' ... the bonus in booking a table at the same time is a quiet restaurant 🙂
