  1. We are SO jealous, because we just got off this ship after the 1st leg from Montreal to FLL. It was HARD to watch her sail away without on on Monday. Have a great cruise.
  2. Those offer sound great, too bad that after 3 years of no cruises i do 3 in 6 months with HAL, guess I'm not that target audience.
  3. We were able to modify the breakfast room service menu while on the Noordam in May without any trouble. My wife wanted just 1 egg, not the 2 they usually serve and this worked.
  4. We were on the Noordam in May and the Zuierdalm in August and got tiles while onboard both times.
  5. We were just on this ship last month in a Neptune via an upsell and got the free laundry and other perks. Having sailed in Neptune Suites many times, the aft wrap is far and away my favorite. We on deck 5. You will enjoy the experience. At Glacier Bay, after a trip to the bow for a while, we just sat on or veranda as the Captain spun the ship 360 degrees and got a great, unobstructed view,
  6. We were on her in May and it was it great condition. Had a Neptune Suite, and I think the shower just had a curtain. Staff, as usual, anxious to please and, other than Guest Relations, we had great service in all areas, except for a lack of live music most of the time. Was last on Celebrity in 2019 and I would rate their food a little better, in particular in the MDR.
  7. I was on a 7-night Alaska cruise last month and we had 1 day it was rainy, more of mist than hard rain, and not even all day. I didn't use an umbrella or rain jacket. Two sweatshirts, 1 pair jeans, 2 pair shoes and dinner wear. All in one carry-on size suitcase. All depends on what you want to lug around in the airport and how stressed you are about having the "right" outfits.
  8. More music opportunities in more venues!
  9. As lx200gps says it's simple. We did this in May and no once asked for anything other than the prior to boarding ArriveCan and proof of vaccination.
  10. We have a PCC from HAL, but got email confirmation direct from HAL last month.
  11. Thanks for the input, DW has mobility issues so a fast exit might not be possible. May just spend the night in FLL for the train the next day.
  12. It's been a few years, but like the other replies, I just went to the nearest ATM in Fiji, Samoa and Tahiti. Never a problem.
  13. On the Zuiderdam in early Aug, after standing in line to get your card scanned, the crew member told each coupe or small group about the procedures, so it to more time that our May cruise on the Noordam.
  14. During on early Aug. cruise on her, the Ocean Bar had 50% off happy hour almost every day from 4-5 p.m. Some days they also had a late night happy hour. i think one other bar was in the 4-5 p.m. event, but don't recall which.
  15. We're on the Zaandam arriving to FLL on the 10th of Oct. We want to take Amtrak to Charleston, SC, but the train leaves at 8:50 a.m. If we carry our bags off the ship and leave ASAP do we have a reasonable change of making the connection?
  16. KiwiGal117 - We were in 5191, after Neptune and DW and I both recall outlets on both sides of the bed. Hope this helps.
  17. I don't mind paying a lot for GOOD wine. I hate paying a lot for average, to poor wine. I understand the need to markup and profit but $12 for a glass of Chard that would cost me $10 a bottle at home is hard to swallow. However, on my early August cruise many of their "bottle" prices were very reasonable.
  18. On our August trip onboard Zuiderdam, right after we did the ArriveCan to enter the line, there was a staffer who said they would help us the the one for the return trip. Before we boarded the ship, we were already ArriveCan compliant for the return to Vancouver. We were never asked about it again and no one checked as we disembarked.
  19. We tend to rate cruises by the "good, bad and ugly" of the cruise. But, on this cruise there was nothnig "ugly" about it. Embarkation in Vancouver was pretty good except for the line at US Customs & Immigration, beyond HAL's control. Food - Varied from good to bad. Mostly it was good, but for us, it was very under-seasoned, The one meal at PG was great, and 1 of the six in the MDR was great. We do like that portion sizes have gotten smaller. We hate wasting food, but some of the portion sizes used to be way too much. Related, the drink service in the MDR was rated bad mostly because there are too few wine stewards. The waiter was always prompt in taking our wine order, but getting it to the table was a different story. Sometimes the food came before the wine. We had open seating and had reservations for four of the nights. But, even without a reservation the wait was never very long. Sort of bad were the music venues. One night there was a guy playing a piano just outside the Ocean Bar, but he only payed 1 set, never announced what he was playing and the piped-in music in the bar pretty much drowned him out. The Billboard on Board was a waste, used more for games than music. As usual, the crew was great. Everyone greated us with a simile . Great cabin steward and great staff in the bars. We had a great day in Glacier Bar. The Captain got us real close to the glaciers, Despite a cloudy, overcast day we had great views. The ports of Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway were good, Only Juneau felt crowded with five ships in port, For the first time on a cruise that started or ended in Vancouver, we didn't go to Victoria. Been there so often, can't say we missed it, Next, the Zaandam in October from Montreal to Fort Lauderdale.
  20. Thanks everyone. I will seriously look at a Celebrity suite for my next cruise. I have also agree with Gracie115 that HAL seems to offer a bigger variety of itineraies. But maybe I can find one on Celebrity that works.
  21. We were able to do so but only after we were onboard. Even so, there was 1 night where no reservations were available. Still only had about a 5 min. wait for a table,,
  22. We're just off the Zuiderdam and had the open seating. We said we were open to tablemates but on 5 of the six nights we were in the MDR, we wee given tables for 2. We always take open because the early seating is TOO early and the second is TOO late. On our Noordam cruise back in May the waiter from the first night arranged for us to always be in his section. Which we enjoyed and showed that enjoyment at the with a nice tip.
  23. We have sailed with Celebrity a few times, but never in a suite. We have, however, sailed wit HAL in their Neptune Suite a couple of times. Aside from the Neptune Lounge, how do Celebrity suites compare to HAL in terms of price, space and service?
  24. Faxed, not email....you have an email address?
  25. We submitted our evidence of stock ownership more than 2 weeks ago. When and how would we be notified that is was through and we have the credit? Cruise leaves 10 Aug.
