  1. We were on the Eurodam November 8-18 also in a Neptune suite. Our stewards greeted us quickly introducing themselves. The only issue we had with our cabin is that it was freezing the next day-now I’m one that likes our cabin cold but this was freezing. Took the technicians 2-3 days to fix it and we were told it was affecting several cabins. We had dinner in the Pinnacle and had the best service we’ve ever had. Our waiter was fantastic and actually brought us more food than we ordered. There were four of us and we ordered one candied bacon but he brought two. My husband wanted rack of lamb but they only had lamb chops (??) so instead ordered scallops. Well the waiter brought him the lamb dish & the scallop dish which Mr Bear ate it all (he’s a big guy, lol). We also ate at the Tamarind and had a fantastic server. Our drinks were delivered promptly and our food the same. We also ate at the Canalleto which again was excellent with large portions and good service. Luckily we did not experience any issues once the temperature improved in the cabin. OP I’m sorry your experience was different-it seemed like our room stewards were “seasoned” and yours maybe new.
  2. There are very few seats in the domestic luggage pick up area but I’ve usually been able to find one while my husband collects our luggage. So there are a few in the luggage pick up area & just outside the luggage pick up area so she should be ok.
  3. Nice review & glad you didn’t get into any trouble…this time!
  4. I think it’s more if you get the HIA. The cruise we just completed was our first time with the HIA. I’m not sure it is worth it for us but wanted to try it plus we have it for our cruise in February. After that I doubt we’d go that route. We’ve never had issues prior using all our OBC.
  5. We got a phone call as well telling us about our non refundable amount & use it or lose it. We had the HIA but a lot of OBC. The form should be changed as it shouldn’t have to be so hard trying to figure out the daily amount but exactly how much in total you want to give extra.
  6. We just did this and my husband took a screen shot so I’ll attach it here with our info blackened out. Hope it helps. Of course we had the help of the Neptune concierge so maybe that helped? She did have to make a phone call & get I think a supervisors approval. It seems also she had to take my $17.50 a day gratuity and divide the amount I wanted to add over our 10 day cruise. So just watch on the line where you put the amount you want per day.
  7. We just got back from our cruise to the ABC Islands on the Eurodam. We went while in Bonaire on the snorkel, lunch, drinks excursion with Lady Bellais on their beautiful schooner. The staff is amazing and very helpful. All equipment is included and they can accommodate a lot of people or small groups. (They are Bonaire Cruisers who rent golf carts too). This is a family run business and I’d recommend them. Check out their website. They got a great shot of my husband jumping in that I’ve included on here! https://www.ladybellais.com/
  8. @crystalspin glad you got it done! I didn’t want that stress either as, like you, our final payment is tomorrow. No way was I taking the chance of being delayed by flights home or whatever so we paid in full before our Eurodam cruise. Otherwise I would have been a worry wart! Looking forward to meeting you in person in February!
  9. We just did this same thing on the Eurodam last night. We had unspent non refundable plus refundable port fees. Filled out the form and it goes to general crew. (We couldn’t assign who we wanted it to go to which is fine).
  10. We are on Eurodam & sitting in Pinnacle having our last breakfast before heading to the airport. 2 big ships and the NA and us. Had a great cruise. Staff are wonderful as usual. Photo taken from our balcony before breakfast.
  11. Since we are in a Neptune suite the cruise, flights & hotel add up so we bought the whole coverage through our Pacific Blue across insurance. I’m the same-would rather have it than not.
  12. Thanks. It wasn’t a good start for our first holiday in almost 4 years that’s for sure. By having our friends with us we had a good time & lots of laughs in Calgary. We contacted our insurance while in Calgary & all should work out. Just so thankful we travelled 3 days prior to the cruise. A fellow on our flight had a cruise the next day & wouldn’t make it.
  13. What really bothered us about our first flight was they said it was delayed from 6am to at least 8am. Then 20 minutes later saying to start boarding that they were taking a different route. We could have made our connecting flight after all but apparently the airline decided to cancel us & our friends on it plus there were a ton of others who missed their flight. Luckily we have trip interruption insurance that should cover the hotel we had to get at Calgary airport & our meals.
  14. When we left for our cruise on the Eurodam on Sunday, November 5th our flight from Vancouver was delayed because of “volcanic ash”. We missed our connecting flight to Ft Lauderdale because of it. Seems it travels very far so monitor your flights.
  15. Ok, that would be the reason I’ve avoided it all these years!
  16. It’s probably because I didn’t know what they were so never ordered them. If it’s a meringue looking dessert that could be why?
