  1. We've stayed at Banks Mansion and loved not only the location but the great amenities...their breakfast is wonderful as is the self serve open bar in the lobby. We'll be staying there again July 2024.
  2. Thank you so much...my mistake about Red Robin.
  3. Thank you so much for correcting me. We dined there last time and were very disappointed.
  4. We'll be staying at this hotel in October and know about the IHOP & Red Robin restaurants near it but what restaurants are in the mall?
  5. I would like to know this also and not "asking for a friend"...would love maybe also a diner style place. We're also not interested in fancy sit down dinning the night before we get onboard.
  6. We always hook our lap top into the HDMI input on back of TV. We bring a universal remote and HDMI cable and can then watch Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. etc. If you have any problem just call maintenance and ask for an electrician to come to your cabin and help....they will. We just used our Firestick on Navigator and the cabin remote gave us some problems but an electrician came and put a code into the cabin remote and it easily let us use it instead of our laptop. Problems, just ask their very helpful and was told they do this all the time for guests.
  7. Very interesting....We've seen the one on Harmony...nice...but it can't compare to Navigator's. Best of luck to her !!!
  8. We sail often with our extended family that includes two grandkids. They've always had amazing cabin stewards...two towel animals per night, cookies, fruit etc...extra gratuities....you betcha !!!
  9. Just buy new Travel Pro....I purchase them online...the new ones I've bought as gifts are very much like my originals.
  10. So everyone headed to the "lifts" (elevators). My understanding is that you're to use the stairs when called to your muster station. Poorly handled by everyone.
  11. Booking around noon you should be fine.
  12. Did you get drinks and food like Cosol offers? Glad you were happy with your choice...but many aren't interested in spending that much time in a boat. Nice to have options.
  13. Ketchikan...The Bearing Sea Fisherman's Tour. Price booking directly vs your cruise line. This is an amazing excursion...our grandkids loved it !!!!
  14. You will pay more to book with Viator...No reason to or pre-book this excursion. Book it from a vendor on the pier it will be the same kinda tour.
  15. This is something you can't do online. You can book them directly by calling your cruiseline...or easily once onboard. Perhaps consider private transfers also. We've used Cruise Control from Port Canaveral to MCO.
  16. No one can have the exact "same" experience. My comment was for general consumption.
  17. We love our Travel Pro Max Lite soft sided luggage. It's been all over the world and is still holding up well.
  18. Welcome to Cruise Critic: We've port stopped many times in PV in October (just this past October actually) weather was great. There will be shuttle or taxi transportation ($5.00 pp one way) that will drop you off very close to the beginning of the Malecon. We like to shop at the far end under the bridge. This will make more sense to you once you're there. We find the shops along the Malecon to be priced higher and you certainly can't haggle with them. I prefer the tent and flea market area. Neither will be hard to fine. Several open air restaurants along the Malecon...we like the one across from where the guy plays chess...again easy to find. Once you're ready to return to the ship go over one block behind the Malecon and flag down a taxi and tell him back to the ship/port and again $5.00pp.
  19. I agree your hotel stay isn't necessary unless you want to spend more time in port but since you're overnighting there once your ship arrives go into town then head back to the ship.. Disembarking in Quebec is easy and lots of taxis will be lined up and it's a short drive to the airport. Just book your flight around noon and you'll be fine. Of course this is all up to you but enjoy your cruise whatever you decide.
  20. Yes...Cosol...You've made a great choice !!!
  21. Yes...agree with the Sheraton Old San Juan but I'll disagree with Hotel Milano, but loved the roof top restaurant Punto de Vista and sad that closed a few years ago.
  22. We've cruised the Mexican Riviera often over many years. Absolutely no reason for you to feel the need to book an excursion with the cruiseline. Many vendors at the Cabo pier are just fine...take your pick.
  23. A bit confused...Are you overnight in Quebec? if so aren't you able to stay onboard and disembark the next morning? No reason to stress over disembarking and getting a taxi to the airport. We sailed from Quebec to Fort Lauderdale but on RCI.
