  1. We love the Oasis, Freedom and Voyager class ship...never feel crowded. We'll see if we feel the same about ICON when we sail on her May 2024.
  2. Always the least expensive way to go...one user multiple devices.
  3. Oh how I wish my Celebrity points would contribute to my RCI points....but I know that's never going to happen. Am D+ on RCI and since everything is included with our booked suites on X I don't see much value to their recognition.
  4. We love the shopping at the Central Market/Mercado in Mazatlan. Take a local taxi at the port very quick and easy to do. After you shop go to the Panama Bakery/Restaurant just around the corner...ask and a local will point you in the right direction. When you're ready to go back to the ship just flag down a taxi. This is all very safe and easy to do. We were just there first of the year. At your other two ports (just at those on our Panama Canal itinerary this month) take a shuttle taxi at the Puerto Vallarta port to the beginning of the pedestrian Malecon..lots of shopping but be sure to go all the way to the bridge and go down the steps to lots of stalls for some more great shopping. Again when you're ready to return go a block behind the Malecon (one way traffic) and grab a local taxi. Cabo just get off the tender and walk into town no transportation necessary and lots of street stores. Taxi USD $10.00 for the two of us one way at both ports. Ask price before getting in the local ones off the street . The shuttle at the Puerto Vallarta port holds about 8 people and is a set price they'll be many of them lined up and they do one drop off very close to the beginning of the Malecon. Please don't do an excursion just to shop at these easy do it yourself ports !!!! Enjoy... we'll be back to the Mexican Riviera in January on another cruise.
  5. I can easily link in my cruise planner my extended family reservations that I personally booked with RCI using their reservation number.
  6. Wait until Black Friday/Cyber Monday. You can book now (your choice) and then if pricing goes lower on these days just cancel what you have booked and rebook at the lower price point.
  7. Just checked a couple of my recent Cruise Compass (we were in OS's) and room service started taking orders at 5:00pm. I would call room service myself to place an order just before that time.
  8. The only time this announcement is made is on embarkation day. We've seen way too many people just sitting there taking up table space even though it's obvious their done dining and just waiting for the cabins to open. I actually at times appreciate the announcement...Unfortunately it doesn't seem to matter to many as they just ignore it.
  9. Many years of cruising with RCI and a few years ago we became only WJ diners. Have absolutely enjoyed this year so far on Navigator, Explorer, Jewel, Serenade and by far the best was Harmony. Luckily my DH feels the same and so did our extended family on the two cruises we took them on this year.
  10. We did a Mexican Riviera cruise this past January and a Panama Canal cruise this past month and couldn't have felt safer walking in Puerta Vallarta, Cabo, Mazatlan and Hutalco.
  11. Layers...it might be warmer than you think during the day and cool evenings.
  12. Make sure you opt for self assist if you book an early flight ...Carrying off your own luggage and hopping into a taxi should be easy to do an 11:00am flight or even a bit earlier based on what flights are available to you. This is an easy port/airport.
  13. We have used Cruise Control...a great shuttle option. 888 416-8830.
  14. Look at what RCI ships are sailing out of Florida during your timeframe several of them are. You could easily do Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Port Canaveral...or even Tampa depending on where you'll be. Personally I would do one of the larger ships like Harmony. Enjoy whatever you decide.
  15. Recently on Serenade with young grandkids...There is a small slide into a water feature behind AO on deck #12. Not a lot for young kids to do but their AO is available. I would opt for Explorer.
  16. Our DD lives in Calabasas and very surprised at the low price you got from there to the San Pedro port using Uber.
  17. The oasis class is too large to dock at Havensight. This class must dock at Crown Bay that used to be a submarine dock. RCI has a contract to use CB...so if Mariner docked at Havensight there must have been a reason for this.
  18. Depending on itinerary but we've had guest lectures on some of our RCI itineraries this year. Some we've made it to and some were a bit to early for us.
  19. HaHa...RCI doing things so you don't get "confused"...that's new
  20. Interesting. So this ship pulls up along side the RCI ship and you transfer to it much like a tender and it then returns you ?? Perhaps this has never been offered on our Northbound or roundtrip Vancouver itineraries..Thanks for your info.
  21. Hmmm....We I believe were talking specifically about RCI not Celebrity ! There's the confusion !!!! You and latebuyer have interjected Celebrity into a conversation about RCI and the OP question about Brilliance.
  22. Very interesting...thanks...good to know... Certainly never saw a small boat doing this off our ship while we were at the Hubbard Glacier on the 5 of our visits there.
  23. Climate Change is making what used to be a guess now. OP book either and take your chance...regardless this itinerary will be beautiful. We've sailed the first week a couple years ago and will be sailing again Oct 5th-14th, 2023 out of Cape Liberty on RCI.
  24. Would love to see the link for this itinerary...and details of the excursion and how it's done...thanks Could this excursion actually be offered at the port in Juneau rather than off the ship directly ??? That could be the confusion.
