  1. Yes, if under age for the cruise (..it could be 18 in Europe for example) they should get the Zero Proof package. You will still see packages that you already have show up for sale on the web site, so don't depend on that for any indication.
  2. You should have a passenger data tab at the top of the booking details screen, both passengers details should be entered there (web site).
  3. Your guests name does already appear on the booking details for your cabin though?
  4. You can order it from the room service menu though...
  5. We were on Eclipse in January and would happily sail on her again, regardless of the thickness of the TV's 🙂
  6. Booking is not really the measure though, it should be actually sailing... If non-refundable deposits are reducing multiple booking with the intent to only sail a lesser number, then it is in Celebrity's interest to discourage that practice. If it stops people booking at all then it is not in their interest. This is mostly a USA market question though as it isn't even an option in most other markets.
  7. ... about £18 per person per day... you'd be better off just paying for the 20 bottles of water...
  8. ... or maybe they are just reserved already...?
  9. It is still given I believe, but you'd need Zenith / Pinnacle to get it ...
  10. When they are trying to clean up the mess caused by multiple 'Covid cancellations' and the inflation of bonus FCC from that period, I very much doubt that starting another round of the same was as high in their thoughts as just bringing everything to a final conclusion with either a refund or one last L&S. Yes it was handled poorly for sure, and unforgivable mistakes were made which caused the problem in the first place, but they will be hoping that the matter is now closed, rather than pushing another wave of FCC out there...
  11. I suspect they would rather have their peace and environment preserved in many cases, and if they can afford to turn away the cruise trade then they probably should. We've cruised the fjords in small ships in the past and enjoyed places like Flam for example, but they have become a nightmare since the mega ships arrived. These small towns really can't handle the huge volume of people. Similarly I am happy to see Venice finally rejecting the cruise trade, it was long overdue. For the OP though, I do agree that MSC should do more than just inform that the itinerary has changed if they can no longer deliver the experience they promised.
  12. 'Priority' always needs qualifying as it is not priority over everyone, just those with no priority at all, and behind everyone else that has priority... also tends to be of limited utility in most ports, and you deal with dining by making reservations before sailing... The extra points are handy if you are close to a level change and the lunch on embarkation day is nice as long as you board early enough to use it. Makes no real difference to the cabin on 'S' class so as long as it is a cheap upgrade it might be worth it for the points, but not much else...
  13. The Murano 'lobster' can just be a rather small tail though, so going for the surf 'n turf is often a good option...
  14. I don't suppose that we will even know exactly how they approached this resolution, but the only methodology that seems to fit the facts posted here is that they simply took each cabin that they had overbooked, left the earliest reservation for that cabin in place and then tried to accommodate the others either onboard the same ship with limited change of cabin grade where possible or L&S, or cancellation... There was certainly no wholesale cancellation of bookings after October '21 based on posts here despite what people were told on the phone. I also don't blame them for not seeking volunteers in this situation as it would have complicated and slowed down the process and they had left themselves very little time to do this in some cases. Also revenue management may have had a hand in this as they would mostly prefer to cancel older 'L&S' reservations rather than more recent reservations made at higher prices... Only question I'd really like to know is when did they first discover the extent of the mess they were in...?
  15. Agreed, the prices have gone up, but the 'Always Included' price still ,makes sense for a lot of people. When we booked in January for Japan in 2025, we paid $47 extra each, per day, for the Classic package, gratuities and WiFi (Surf). At that price it really isn't hard to justify. Right after we booked, the price went up on our cruise and it was then costing $70, but even so by the time you deduct even just the the gratuities, it comes down to a level where it would still make sense for many, and if you value the WiFi then even easier. I do think that the full price for the Classic package or indeed just the cost of the upgrade from Classic to Premium is very hard to justify these days.
  16. Those are not in the Classic package though…
  17. I guess they decided to hold on to a few Guarantee bookings as they will undoubtedly still get some people drop out...
  18. Which cabin class though? The majority of the problems seem to have been with verandas, not exclusively though.
  19. Do ask whatever questions you want, the advice given above just makes it more likely that you will get useful answers, and helps others in future with the same questions...
  20. That was never their intention... They were always intending to book 2 cabins, just a simple question of the practicality of using the couch so nobody would actually be sleeping in the other cabin... on that point I agree with you, it would be miserable to actually try to sleep on one of those in Aqua.
  21. True, but the Premium drinks package now covers up to $17, so add the 18% to that and you get $20. So yes the prices have gone up but so has the package coverage so there is no change in what you can get at the Martini Bar on the premium package. The inclusion of the gratuity, and adjustment of the package limit on UK/Australia/New Zealand sailings is normal and has been going on for a long time now...
  22. Mostly just different carriers, the lower cost carriers tend to have much longer check-in periods, some of them up to 60 days before travel. With Jet 2 it is 28 days though so should be able to check-in and get the boarding pass in the next couple of days or so assuming the OP is flying back right after the cruise ends.
  23. Don't Jet2 have a 28 day limit on completing check-in and printing the boarding pass?
  24. I suspect the comment referred to the period between taking the insurance and sailing when there is a significant time period involved, so take the insurance early rather than leaving the it until later and risk something emerging...
  25. You pretty much have to anyway as this far out the menus you see reflect the current cruise on your ship, not the one you will be on... Take a look at the port days and length of the cruise and unless your cruise matches the current one you'll see obvious differences...
